62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Reach 10,000.00 $ on: October 23, 2017, 02:39:16 PM
I am sure that BTC will reach 10k, because so many hedge funds are coming into crypto markets right now. But I really hope that it will run sideaways some weeks. So that altcoins can gain a lot during that consolidation.

What do you think? Will alts come back?

Definately
Probably just before or after the fork. It also depends a lot on the Development in China, If they should lift the Ban that would change a lot but for now it seems that its holding.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Reach 10,000.00 $ on: October 23, 2017, 02:37:17 PM
If I watch the statistic of the past year I might conclude there will be more bumps before BTC hits 10,000$

Probably sometime March next year or so
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: avoiding buying tokens because of hype. how to do that? on: October 23, 2017, 02:32:17 PM
The thing with HYPE is that you can make a lot of money if you happen to buy at the right time and sell at the right time. But the chances that you'll lose money are much bigger. Also your not really supporting the birth a better world by feeding the hype coins, since when you are making money it means that somebody else is losing it. That's not really the spirit of Crypto but, then again, a way to make a quick buck Maybe..
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to discover new HighPotential ALT-COINS on: October 23, 2017, 02:27:58 PM
There are many people searching for the New High Potential ALT-Coin but how exactly do you find them, especially before everyone else does

There are some things to Look out for that I have learned:

What was the Price in the beginning of the Coin

How long hast the Coin been around

What is the price history

What is the total Market CAP

And what is the max Vol of Coins

Is there a proper Whitepaper

What is the Roadmap

Who is working on the Project

On which is Exchanges is the coin already accepted

What is the Community like

67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 50 Bitcoins in 1 Year Blog. Thoughts? on: October 22, 2017, 06:16:06 PM
Hi everyone,

I've been trading crypto currencies for a couple months now and since its been going well for me, I thought about creating a website to document my crypto trades for the next year. My goal is to make 50 bitcoins in a year starting tomorrow. It may sound crazy to most but I do believe it is possible.

I plan on sharing my daily trades as well as experimenting with different trading techniques. I will be sharing the losers, the winners and probably some expensive lessons lmao.

Anyways, I'm halfway done creating the website now and thought, would anyone even be interested in following this kind of journey?
I would absolutely love to know. If not, why wouldnt you? Any insight or feedback on what you would personally like to see would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time  Smiley

You could start a Telegram channel for now and post your advices there, that would be helpful Smiley then you"ll have some followers for  your website also , anyway best of luck, I have set similar goals, not so much success yet though

71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: October 22, 2017, 10:49:27 AM
You can definitely make more money with Altcoins. But the risk is much higher. There are a few Basic rules, like Never jump on a coin that has already gone up a lot. The ones who already bought that coin for a very low price might dump it onto you. Always do proper research before investing in a coin. Check the whitepaper, github, do research on the team and based on your impression decide  if its a good coin to invest in. Follow the bitcointalk announcement and decide what is a good point for you to sell your coin. This is always a risk because if you miss the right selling point the price might drop or if you sell to soon my might miss the boat.
72  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin for cash ? on: October 22, 2017, 10:42:42 AM
it really differs from country to country, for instance in the Netherlands bitcoin at the moment is tax free as are the profits gained from it, in Austria you for instance pay a tax of 50% over winnings when claimed within one year of the transaction. Exchanging BTC to EUR is free upto 700€
73  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Law To Declare Bitcoin Ownership on: October 22, 2017, 10:32:25 AM
some countrys dont even recognize bitcoin as an real currency therefore it is only taxable when exchanged into FIAT currencies

75  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoins and Tax in Austria on: October 03, 2017, 09:28:39 AM
I've heard also that at the moment in the Netherlands BTC is still Tax free. Sounds like a good reason to move there Cheesy depending on how long that still lasts of course ^^
76  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoins and Tax in Austria on: October 03, 2017, 09:22:12 AM
50% taxation sounds more like a way of making BTC less attractive for the Masses, on the other hand it could also be positive for the stability of the price, if you would have to pay 50% tax you'd probably think twice before changing your BTC back to FIAT Shocked
77  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoins and Tax in Austria on: October 03, 2017, 09:13:45 AM
Is anyone well informed on the subject of Tax Paying in Austria?

What I have been able to find out at the moment is the Following:

If you directlecty extract Bitcoin from a recent trasaction you pay 50% Tax

If you can prove that the transaction that you made which got you the bitcoins is older than one year it becomes tax free.

If you want to extract bitcoin you can do it at an bitcoin ATM Upto 250€ without any form of document
- after 500€ you have to show ID
and anything higher than that upto 5000€ you have to prove where you got the bitcoins from.

Anybody better informed on the Topic can that confirm this?

This proves that bitcoin is really a help to boost the economy of the nation thru imposing tax for every bitcoin transactions but i think the 50% tax imposed are too much. This policy needs to be regulate because it most likely some people will stop investing in bitcoin because most of the bitcoin users are already complaining to the transaction fees imposed by the wallet then the said tax is another burden.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that OP misunderstood something in that regard as Austria has been rather sane regarding Bitcoin taxation.

What about wenn you don't sell the BTC, do you have to report them then or only when you are exchanging back to FIAT money?
