Doesn't matter. KEEP MINING!
trade ya 1k RYC for 1k PWC?
from the wikicoin.info: mining will be shut down after 16 years, or 16,588,800 blocks. Then how the ---- will transactions be confirmed if blocks stop altogether? You should worry about 16 hours from now, not 16 years.

copy/paste of junkcoin i see.

i think all thats left of ryc are the bagholders..

It means your hashrate will decrease, while the block reward will rise. Maybe with some lag, i don't think anyone is totally sure about what exactly will happen. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) will it be proportional though? so same hardware yielding the same coins/day? Or is this to push out the lower end cpus?

anyone care to explain what the N increase on may14th actually means?

The question is, does it matter?
The only thing making YAC stand out is it's use of an alternate scrypt library... making all other miners unusable. My real question -- what happens when someone subs the alt-scrypt implementation into cgminer... then where will the coin be?
Umm... The coin will adjust it's scrypt N scaling parameter and become harder for GPUs, while lowering difficulty to become easier for CPUs. This happens over scheduled period. May 14, N=64, 8Kb May 17, N=128, 16Kb May 20, N=256, 32Kb May 29, N=512, 64Kb ... Does anyone read http://www.yacoin.org/about.html ? I've read it, but still don't exactly get it....

0.002 min I say on btc e ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Based on what? Just like BTC, all the exchanges will stay within a couple points of eachother.... bter will adjust.
Right. I got that. So it just sends them to the wallet automatically? No need to put an address anywhere?
thanks
correct. just besure you have the qt.exe running with -server
excuse the noob question, but how does it know what address to send the coins to if a block is found?
minerd.exe -a scrypt-jane -o http://127.0.0.1:<anyport> -u <username> -p <pass> the 127.0.0.1 is pointing to your local computer.

Also, if you're selling at less than >.001 BTC/YAC, you are an idiot. CHC and FTC have never traded on an exchange at under .001 per, and those are quite clearly scamcoins.
FTC traded for 0.0009 BTC on btc-e yesterday ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) doesn't it take 4 hours for a confirm on that dead coin?

if you wanna take the pooled mining approach, run these off a fresh install sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev git make automake git clone https://github.com/ali1234/cpuminer cd cpuminer ./autogen.sh ./configure CFLAGS="-O3" sudo make sudo make install ./minerd -a scrypt-jane -o server:port -O user:pass

300 YAC = 250 Royalcoin, pm me if interested
so after trying to kill YAC, you're gonna buy into it?

Quick update for anyone still thinking about getting in on this:
cc2.8xlarge are still $0.253/hr each in Oregon and $0.270/hr in N. Virginia. That's 750 kh/s each.
How many yacoin does 750 kh/s get you per day? my rough math... probably 80 or so at current diff.
i7 3930k @ 4.7ghz
ssse3 -t 8
425 kh/s
