61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: October 12, 2017, 03:23:11 PM
With $3000 to invest, is there any advantages to either, with the expectations/hopes that they both will continue to grow?  Just trying to see what others would do, as I plan to let this initial investment sit for 5yrs minimum in a cold wallet.

Thanks ladies and gents!

1 BTC, ETH will die long-long term
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to go bullish after Metropolis hard fork? on: October 12, 2017, 10:03:16 AM
It seems to be a very huge improvement as its the 3rd stage of Ethereum Cycle

From what i read
- Block time will be reduced and optimized
- POS integration time by time
- More flexibility of Smart Contract?
- Zero knowledge protocol

Is this the main benefits of it?

It is very possible that ETH might break the $400 ATH if the Hard fork are successful i guess

It might, but the only backbone to this extremely young untested infrastructure are ICOs oh whome most will go down as a dead project. This is a biiig biig problem because the regulators will come cracking down on it with all of the investors support when things turn to the wrong side.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are advantages of ICO crowdfunding? on: October 12, 2017, 09:36:06 AM
What are advantages of ICO crowdfunding? Why is it better than a standard project funding?

You don't have to give away equity, at the same time you need to make sure you have a utility token and not a security, so be careful.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ardor: Lisk/Eth's biggest competition . 1billion potential cap(10x returns) on: October 09, 2017, 04:22:36 PM

I'm here today to talk about Ardor.

Ardor is literally the next NXT. Its exactly the same and in about 2 years time NXT will be completely replaced by ARDR. Cannot wait until this happens, soooooo much potential.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/ARDRBTC/LIGefcK3-Ardor-Where-Technicals-and-Fundamentals-Meet-1bln-poten-cap/

Brought to you by the team that created NXT, a stable blockchain that has existed with unique features / extreme performance for years, Ardor will serve as a "parent" chain to many sidechains that will be secured by the main Ardor network.

This concept is revolutionary, because it allows for the child chains to be pruned / extreme blockchain performance / scalability.

Every tx on the ardor network will cost ~10 ardr and stakers will recover rewards from tx fees paid on the ardr main chain and EVERY child chain supported by the network. According to the bitcointalk OP for Ardor, they have many features and partnerships in the works that have not been disclosed.

Fundamentally, Ardr is a Lsk competitor with 1/5 of the market cap. The current Ardr token is an IOU, as the Ardr main net is due to launch in q4 2017.

Jelruda, the team behind Nxt, Ardr, and Ardr's first childchain (ignis), has successfully raised over 650 btc for their ignis ico (which isn't even over), and now has significant funding to further the project. The biggest problem with Nxt was funding, as the Nxt ICO was in a different era.

You can read more about ardr and child chains here:
https://www.jelurida.com/ardor-roadmap
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1518497.0
https://twitter.com/ardorplatform?lang=en

Ignis child chain info:
https://medium.com/@cryptojudgement/ignis-the-first-of-ardors-childchains-794c711b99be

Ardr will be one of the premier "Blockchain as a Service" Platforms of the future and has a low market cap of 135mm at the time of posting.

Technically... as you can see, Ardor has made a significant retracement from its last high and is currently sitting on what appears to be an extremely strong historical support level . The bollinger bands are extremely compressed on the 1D chart, showing that a move could be imminent. Coupled with a clear double bottom ... this is as good of a buy as it gets.

For me, this is a perfect entry to a project with the right team and the right mission to be a 1billion + cap one day. Strap in, dis gon be gud.

65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: October 09, 2017, 04:08:54 PM
So guys, after 2 years of trading i am going to stop. (unless i have full time to trade, which i currently don't)

I have calculated all my trades on the various platforms i have used in the last couple years.

Deposited: 47BTC (roughly)

Withdrew: 40BTC (roughly)

Overall i am happy with the results, i would pay 7 BTC anyday for what i have learned so far.

Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.

just invest long term and don't trade, that's the best thing you can do.

worst ICO ever, they have done a horrible job in the 2nd round and mislead a lot of investors
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 100x? on: October 09, 2017, 02:59:33 PM

You might also want to try and post a medium article, or post your project on angelist.co
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: October 09, 2017, 01:08:37 PM
I would have suggested red pulse, but after what happened in their ICO  last night I am not sure they qualify anymore
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: October 09, 2017, 12:46:41 PM
Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

Dogecoin has a pretty large market cap already, so I am not sure how much of a future it will have with such a huge supply.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: October 09, 2017, 12:32:50 PM
Bitcoin is the master of all projects. THE KILLER APP From blockchain IS BITCOIN.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making an ICO as successful as possible.. on: October 09, 2017, 09:43:39 AM
Just make sure you dont do what red pulse did which means making an announcement to a closed slack group telling them the official start time is 2 min after the hour and letting the entire other investment community know that its on the exact hour.
