61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your worst Altcoin investment mistake? on: August 11, 2018, 09:12:45 PM
Being fooled into “guaranteed” daily returns is my biggest mistake and i regret it up till this moment. Its hard to resist such an offer when you're under a lot of financial pressure.

Well since most altcoins or ICO promises great return or guarantee, we cannot really secure our money that a project can promise you a good financial out come. That is why cryptocurrency investment is risky. However, with this risk, there are a lot of projects that really gave other people a massive amount of income. You just need to be careful and invest at the right time and right altcoin.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 Ethereum price.... on: August 11, 2018, 07:47:04 PM
I think it is best to accumulate more ethereum now since the market price of ethereum is cheaper compared to the recent price. However, we still do not know until when will the prices drop in the current market situation. If you are planning to buy for a long-term purpose, it is best to get ethereum now.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: We have to bring more money into the market on: August 11, 2018, 07:17:32 PM
Well we all know that whales sometimes play the market, so we cannot do anything about it. We cannot bring more money since most people here are individual investors and not as rich as those who are holding a lot of cryptocurrency. We just need something big, great news, and events to boost the market demand.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is important for ICO analysis? on: August 11, 2018, 06:46:30 PM
HELLO friends,
will you please share, what is the main point need to analysis in ICO ?

Thank you !!!
HELLO friends,
will you please share, what is the main point need to analysis in ICO ?

Thank you !!!

You need to analyze  an ICO before investing because investing is risky. There are a lot of scam ICOs who disappear once they gathered the funds. So, as an investor, you need to do your research, read the white paper, check the back ground of the team and make sure that your investment is secured.

66  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: August 05, 2018, 05:15:30 PM
Lets say crypto completely and utterly replaced fiat. Fiats don't exist anymore. All governments have seen the advantage of using digital currency and have completely changed their fiat into crypto, like dollar to dollar token(obviously not tether). How viable is this? For example anyone can see how much I am holding using the public ledger and track me down and force me into sending them the cryptos I hold. I wanna discuss in reality if cryptos actually replace fiat how life will be and what are the problems we are gonna face and the immediate effects of it.

It is possible because crypto is actually being used in several counties as a mode of payment. There are people who love to use crypto rather than fiat because it is less hassle. However, there are still lots of thigs to consider upon having crypto as a currency. Knowledge about it is the first thing needed for peoole to totally adopt it.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: August 05, 2018, 04:37:29 PM
Newbie here... I've been thinking about buying my first crypto. I think I want to buy ETH, but wondering if I missed the boat already?

Primarily I'm choosing ETH because I think there are less foreseeable limitations than BTC, and it seems like ETH is basically accepted everywhere BTC is. Plus its cheaper  Grin

Is now a good time to buy it? Should I wait?

I belueve yes, it's the best time to buy more ethereum and if I would only have more money to buy some, I would purchase more of it becausw I believe that as the market blooms again , the value of ethereum would strike high as well. Ethereum is a potential token that is capable of sustaining us a good gain.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: August 05, 2018, 04:16:33 PM
Hello guys, I see that many traders are afraid of risk, and they always want a guaranteed profit, but unfortunately, this gain is always  a little in value.
And in many threads, they always ask about "how to make a safe method in trading".

For me, the risk is essential in every field ( especially in  trading) to win a lot of money. Furthermore, when you are afraid, then you will never achieve what you want.
Many businessmen/women (billionaires) and  successful traders become rich because they take risks.

Come on , overcome the fear, make a risk , we will only live once.
Now the market in crisis,  you must  take advantage of this opportunity, your life may will change for the better.

This quote is  very expressing :
"If you want it, go for it. Take a risk. Don't always play it safe or you'll die wondering"

What do you think guys?

Taking the risk is the best thing that we could do for us to be able to earn better for our future. I believe that for us to gain a good profit, we must be brave enough to face every consequences that the risk we are taking might have. Taking the risks means we trust crypto and it's all worth it.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: how many coke cans you can buy with one dollar in your country? on: August 05, 2018, 11:11:09 AM
how many coke cans you can buy with one dollar in your country?
I want to know the buying power for the dollar in different countries.

In Egypt, one can buy 3 cans (350ml) of coke for one dollar approximately

Before, we could buy 3 pieces of coke cans with a single dollar. Those where the days when sugar products' value isn't that expensive yet. When the law was implemented where the value of products with sugar increased, we could only buy 1 can of coke for a single dollar.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 05, 2018, 03:13:07 AM
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?

Ethereum has really gone so far if we'll only look back to it's history. I believe that ethereum could still go more but I don't think that it can surpass bitcoin because bitcoin has reach the highest value so far abd ethereum needs to surpass more of the tests here in crypto world.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Crypto help you out? on: August 04, 2018, 11:02:55 AM
This question is especially for those who have been into crypto for a long time. How did cryptocurrency help you, most specifically financially? Did you earn more? Gain more investment? I do have a friend who wants to get into crypto but he does not have a lot of savings in his bank account or any major investment. I told him to save more before getting into crypto because they still have mortgage and car loan to pay. Do you think crypto will help him out to?

Crypto has thought me a lot of things which made things easier for me to deal with specially in terms of finances. O believe that it is important that we use the lessons that we learned in crypto to build a stronger foundation of earning a better gain for our future. Crypto plays a vital role in my life now which I am thankful of.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell? on: August 04, 2018, 10:02:18 AM
Hello everyone!

We all know that the situation with market is not that good as we want it to be. Thus it affects a lot of ICO projects. On the one hand people don't invest in coin so much money as they did last year. On the other bounty hunters sell tokens fast and the price goes very low. That is why some projects prefer list their token on Idex first. They want to see how a coin plays on market.

And what investors should do in such situation? Sell all they have for small money or wait until a token will go up?

I'm asking as a person working in such project. After ICO token price went down (KCY, I'm sure you heard of it). And It is interesting to know investor's opinion about such situation.

What is your idea?

The best thing to do during this kind of situation is to hodl. Panicking won't help us make the right decisions but might just lead us to uncertain circumstances. It is better to hodl and wait for the best time to sell if you would want to maximize your gain rather than selling during this dip.
73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade Vs HODL on: August 04, 2018, 09:28:00 AM
What is your recommendation for Crypto trading,  Day trading or HODL
Experience in crypto trading big loser or winner

Day trading would be needing a lot of knowledge to gain and hodling would also need a lot of time since it will test our patience. I believe that both would be better if we can do both right. As for me, I would prefer hodling because I find it less risky and it would only be needing a lot of patience.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Why spend time in bitcoins? on: August 04, 2018, 08:52:28 AM
We all experience being financially challenged and we cannot deny that money makes us revolve around it. When we find ways to alleviate our financial suffering, we stand our ground and spend so much effort just to see the result and of course, benefit from it. Do you think that spending time and effort to gain bitcoins is a rational idea? Do you think that you could've been wasting your time? Let me know about your thoughts.

Ofcourse, bitcoin isn't a waste of time but rather a great way of earning leading to stability and gaining a good profit for a preparation for our future. It might take most of our time but it's always worth it because as we work on it, we would be able to have a maximized gain.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto going strong! on: July 29, 2018, 06:45:57 PM
Hey guys, what do you think about today’s market situation? Market is growing really fast. Will it keep going like this?

The market is getting better and it is another hope for most of hodlers like me. It is not easy to wait that long since hodling would really take most of our time. It is just the beginning of the bull market so let's continue hodling and just hope for the best because good days are about to come.
76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer My Entire Savings to Cryptocurrencies? on: July 29, 2018, 06:01:51 PM
I am at a point in my my young life where I need to make a decision about my finances. I have a good amount of money saved up in my Robinhood account, and I have been putting it in the stock exchange, making a steady but positive return. Keyword here is positive. I am very conflicted right now because I think I can earn more money trading cryptocurrencies, but the risks are so much greater.

I have a couple good alt-coins in mind that I would like to buy, but don't have the capital because it's all tied up in stocks. Also, is there even a reputable enough exchange that I can put ~$50,000 in and not worry about it getting hacked or stolen? I mean, with stocks, if in the off chance that my account gets hacked, they still need verification before money can be sent, and my money is ensured by the government. With cryptocurrencies, once it's sent, I have zero chance of getting it back.

What should I do. Should I move all my money from stocks to cryptocurrencies? And if I do, which exchanges are reputable enough? I currently use Binance and have only $1000 in there.

I think it would be too risky for you to rely all your necessities in crypto alome since you are investing all of your savings. There should be a limit when it comes to investment. There should be something left for your needs as well because it would be risky to put a lot in a kind of investment.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: July 29, 2018, 05:19:08 PM
I'm not one who would invest in precious metals, but I have noticed that a good amount of the older generations are pretty keen in investing in these metals. They see it as a way to bet against the market, and a security that will always be safe -- even in the times of a market downturn/country failure as a whole.

I personally wouldn't even want to buy these metals in those events, as I don't see the reason to. I'd rather invest in securities that go up when the market shits itself (Payroll lending companies and so on and so forth)

Does anyone here know the reason behind people loving precious metals?

It is simply because older people used to trust gold and silver for a very long time that they couldn't focus on any other investmebt inside the internet because their knowledge is limited. They won't be able to learn about trading as well because they lack in internet knowledge.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find a good altcoin? on: July 28, 2018, 07:50:30 PM
More than 90 % altcoin are scam. So be very careful. Do you know how to find a good altcoin?

It is important that we'll have an idea about a certain coin upon joining it to get rid of being scammed. We should do series of research first to know or have any idea about the potential of a token. We should read their white paper and follow their social media sites to read the informations and feedback about them.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning day trading on: July 28, 2018, 06:45:26 PM
Recently I asked about day trading tips on this forum and got really nice response. Some one introduced me to Voodoo day trading community where I found perfect atmosphere to learn day trading and technical analysis:  https://discord.gg/yBmNzRm I have spent last whole week in the free channel in the group and learnt some interesting tricks and earned a decent amount of money.

Although free channel has helped me immensely so far but it feels like to reach the next level, I have to join paid channel. I wanted to ask that is it worth to pay for learning day trading or I could found free stuff instead? This forum has been a great help to me in past. I hope I will get some valuable feedback this time too.

Learning and studying about day trading if you'll practice it in actual. It is important that we'll have enough knowledge and idea about what we are doing to get rid of losses. I believe that actual day trading would be a good training ground for us to do better in trading and to have a passive income as well.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: July 28, 2018, 06:20:18 PM
Well most of us here are already aware of the hacking activities of binance and bancor. They are taking practical measures to track down the culprits but the question on my mind is why could coincidentally both exchanges be hacked? Now it appears that the exchanges are not moving at a faster and innovative ways to upgrading their systems and allow these hackers time to study their systems well, identify the loop holes and cause the problem. In my opinion, exchanges should always move in an unpredictable way so as to always confuse these scammers .The scammers are scaring new investors away and this must stop.Exchanges must be up and doing so that we can attract new investors into cryptocurrency else our efforts are going in vain to attracting new investors.

Hackers are really smarter these days and we can't deny the fact that they are getting smarter each day. Anything under the internet is hackable these days so we hodlers and traders should be smart enough to handle our earnings with care and we should be wise upon hodling.
