61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: December 17, 2017, 12:56:14 AM
A short answer to your question would be because it is the oldest, its popularity is also because of the fast rate at which it increases value.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: December 17, 2017, 12:46:56 AM
Bitcoins aren't the problem the issue is with the people who would use them for such purposes. Same with fiat currency, they're used for both legal and illegal activity but that doesn't necessarily make fiat currency bad.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the Price and a bubble? *Your Opinion* on: December 17, 2017, 12:24:34 AM
People have been saying that the BTC bubble is ready to pop for 8 years now. I don't think its going to pop anytime soon, realistically it would probably experience a few dips but in my opinion the possibility of bitcoin falling is pretty low.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: December 15, 2017, 05:30:33 AM
Usually I don't do anything, if they're not interested then it's their loss. Trying to convince them otherwise would just be stressful for both of you. But if it was a friend I would just ask his/her opinion on what exactly they don't like but I wouldn't try to force my points on them.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: December 15, 2017, 05:20:12 AM
This is usually what a person with limited/no knowledge of cryptocurrency would say. Its hard for them to grasp the concept of a non-tangible object that has a very high value so they cling to what they know which is fiat currency or sometimes gold.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: December 15, 2017, 05:12:20 AM
Yes it does. More people talking = more people get interested = more people get involved in btc.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE WOLF OF WALL STREET explains why bitcoin is a bubble on: December 13, 2017, 09:37:43 PM
Definitely what a guy who regrets not investing in btc in 2013 sounds like. Also to answer his statement regarding btc quantity, "there can only be a maximum of 21,000,000 Bitcoins ever minted. Right now there are 16.73 million of them in circulation." (Just saw this in a FB comment on the video) He might be right if this was about fiat currency but it isn't. Additionally, people have been claiming, for 8 years now, that the btc bubble was gonna pop. I don't think it will anytime soon. Plus, the guy got his money from scamming people. Are you really gonna believe in his crap.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 13, 2017, 07:54:17 PM
SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA! Said no one ever hahaha hell no, but you did make me think for a bit there. Assuming I was rich and owned a shit ton of property (Batman/Bill Gates rich), I would be willing to do so. I would probably sell one of my vacation homes that I rarely visit and invest it all in btc since I do believe that btc is gonna continue to rise (although realistically it will dip a few times).
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2017, 07:23:13 PM
To pull a newbie in eh? Depends on the person you're speaking to, if I were talking to a person looking for a quick buck I can tell him/her about bitcoin and the signature campaigns and how he/she can earn just by commenting on forum discussions and I can show him/her a screen cap of a bitcoin wallet (not necessarily my wallet) to show how much one could earn. But if I were really trying to get someone interested in investing and shit I would first point out that they already probably saw bitcoin in the news since btc is really blowing up today, I would then tell them that btc would just keep on rising (though it would realistically dip a few times) and that the perfect time to invest would be now. For naysayers who think bitcoin is a bubble that is ready to pop, I would point out that btc "Has been on the rise for 8 years now, still think it'll pop?"
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 05, 2017, 04:08:43 PM
This is a serious problem, i dont have anything about those people, because it is not their fault to be borned in there.

But i have noticed that they all are just doing the same, introduce themselves into cryptos in order to have a better future.

Why you all are looking for the same? i mean, most of you are hoping to be millionaires and you are the first reason of why bitcoin has been so hyped lately.

Probably 1,5/3 of total forum population is from Philippines and Indonesia, and those are the majority in here, and you all are hyping bitcoin as hell.

Is there a reason to be buying bitcoins like crazy people? Or just trying to get them at any cost? Please, give me some explanations, maybe i am missing something.

This is not a racist thread, i just want to know more about your situation.

most people from the 3rd world countries specifically asians are mostly poor and dont have jobs or unemployed therfor they cant buy or invest in bitcoin or in these so called cryptocurrencies rather they just come here on the forum to shill a crapcoin and to post a sh*t garbage/girbish post in order to get paid and earn bitcoin or any other coins (i.e altcoins , tokens ) and this is the real problem here that we should worry about.

A quick Google search actually disproves your first statement. How do you usually identify a  "sh*t garbage/girbish" post? The lack of supporting facts for a statement and/or the lack of correct punctuation and grammar? Similar to what you just posted? lol

And what's the problem though? Are they hurting you in some way? There's a report button right there buddy if it really bothers you.  Grin
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 05, 2017, 03:39:20 PM
Simple. Money is money, in third world countries you're lucky if you get a decent job which usually happens only when you're privileged enough to afford studying in a reputable university. But this is not true for most people, the situation is usually shit here so people do what they can to earn. You're asking why we get involved in cryptos? You already answered your own question there bud read your post again, not really sure what you want us to say.
72  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit and ibang tao scam ang tingin nila sa BITCOIN on: November 11, 2017, 06:14:11 PM
Non-toxic opinion

73  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tomorrow is my last day on this Earth on: November 11, 2017, 05:52:21 PM
Think about it for a bit, let it marinate. Is killing yourself really the only option you can think of? While yes your debt is PRETTY big, suicide isn't the answer. Surely you have friends or family that might help you out? And think about it, you're letting them win if you go in with this whole killing yourself thing. Something just from the top of my head and I know how stupid these ideas sound but just gonna put it out there as an alternative to suicide. You can try to go off grid you know Bear Grylls style, live in the woods and shit or you could get yourself arrested at least there you would have a place to sleep and have regular meals everyday.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 09:49:07 AM
I first learned about Bitcoin last year during my Introduction to Information Security class, our professor made us watch a video (specifically this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um63OQz3bjo) and discussed its pros and possible cons in a lecture.
