Aside from that, can you name just 2 other coins that are endeavoring to build infrastructure which is a must if crypto will be mainstream. The first to market will be huge. How many icos have you invested in that are just a wallet, a blockchain, POS or POW and nothing else ? Don't let skepticism keep you from making money. If you have fears look at the time line and get out before the date they say they will have a bank if you doubt it will happen. 3) Tor is used to send all types of altcoin transactions. Currently a little cumbersome but what do you think is shady about that? Monero is the closest competetor to this. If you use it you will understand and this is a step up from monero. If not, I hope you are paying your taxes at end of year because EVERY transaction is taxable and must be reported to IRS. The only way crypto will be treated as money is if most retail transactions are fiat like, anonymous. You already know for those who have ICO signatures will definitely market it because it's his job, but for explanation it would be better if you check it yourself, maybe by reading whitepaper and roadmap because the explanation may be different than you have read it. The fork is the new scam. Instead of releasing a coin under any random name, tie it to stable coin and call it a fork or improvement. The crazy part is that the exchanges are all in on the scam ... why? because they all have huge reserves of bitcoin.
Slowly other coins are catching on and 2018 may indeed be the year of the forks.

I dont want people to be scammed. To be honest i didnt lose money, i even made a little profit off this coin. but not in btc. in usd. in btc lost 50% price, but in USD i bought for 28 cent and sold for 38 cent, 2 month ago was 8000 satoshi , but then btc was only 4000 value. I need to speak against all the scammers, because so many cammers in crypto on youtube chating peoples money. if i shut up then i am also a scammer Learned a while ago USD gains mean NOTHING, only gains versus BTC, LTC or ETH because we have to convert to these first to cash out. Interesting amount of FUD in here. Calling Firstblood a scam is simply... dumb. You're butthurt that the price has gone down, well, this is crypto and anything can happen. You put money into a speculative, risky investment and it hasn't worked out yet- either get over it and move on, or just quieten down, hold onto your tokens and have some patience.
For what it's worth I think 2018 will be great for Firstblood, when they move out of beta and add more games. Then you'll see the price move.

You have raised some valid points and i am also not denying the fact that western union or paypal can send money almost anywhere in the world. But what you are missing is when bitcoin get listed more people will trust bitcoin and more people will invest on it. Shorting bitcoin is just a short term strategy, what they usually do is hold it for long period of time. If you think that bitcoin is just a digital check to avoid the government then you really need to do more research. Anyways that is your money and your decision. Have to agree with the op here in that btc as it is now will never become mainstream, too many faster and cheaper alternatives. It is nothing more than an investment vehicle, like people paying millions for crap at an auction ... perceived value. As for shorting, the bitcoiners have no idea what is coming. The fact that MOST can only go long now is the only reason for this sustained bull market. Wait until btc goes on a regulated exchange and can be shorted easily and you will see downtrends that will make these current brief down spikes look like blips. Shorting is as viable a strategy as holding, as you said, but even more so a more profitable strategy because markets fall with more force than they rise typically. I hope you are not counting on these sustained gains once shoring and regulation happens. |
