61  Bitcoin / Mining support / Connection times out on ONE GPU on: June 13, 2011, 09:19:16 AM
Hello!

I am currently mining with my two HD5850 @ BTCMine, and ONE of my GPU's keeps timing out!
It's overclocked to it's absolute MAX, 870 Core Clock and 910 Memory Clock, pushes out 340Mhash/s, has it been overclocked too much? Is this what's causing it to crash or something?

Why does my GPU time out, when my other one (not overclocked), works properly?

I really hope my 1.1 BTC aren't gone when the pool is back up.

I am mining on two 5850 cards, but one of them keeps experiencing a connection error... why is this?
what software do you use? an old version of phoenix had this kind of problem.

I am using the newest version of GUIMiner.
This has never been a problem before I switched to slush's pool.

Any fix? Can it be because I've clocked my card too much?

If I can overclock the GPU Clock nor the Memory Clock, it'll be hard to overclock Tongue
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: OC Radeon HD5850? on: June 10, 2011, 12:16:47 PM
I have two 5850 cards in crossfire, the primary one (first attached) has its fan blocked by the second card, so it easily runs up to 90* C, and above 100 if I don't decrease so it only runs at 100-150 Mhash/s as oppose to 280 Mhash/s.

Both cards run at 100% fan speed, removed the tower side for better airflow and mounted a fan to point directly at them.

I only wanna OC the secondary card, as I use the primary one to game on (or so I think at least, I assume it uses that as the second already is under heavy activity?), should I downclock memory and increase GPU Clock?
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / OC Radeon HD5850? on: June 10, 2011, 10:41:21 AM
Hey guys!

My ATI Radeon HD 5850 current puts about about 285 MHash/s and has a temp. of 80-90* C during the summer. Non-OC.

GPU Clock is 760MHz and Memory Clock is 1050MHz, should I OC?

How much would the cards temperatur increase, how many MHash/s can I push out extra, and how much can I OC it (What values)?

Did you contact Leaseweb?

Has live suppot been taken down?

I have a question; If I send Bitcoins to a buddy who is offline, will these get rejected, or just float around in the network until he is online?

There is a search function y'know

Oh yea?
Give me the search parameters for future reference, because >how Average speed in last 5 minutes measured< gave no hits but my own - those are the key words so please, tell me how to search for a question like that, or keep your comments to yourself.

How is the "Average speed in last 5 minutes" measured?
There is already an answer in this thread.
This speed is measured by counting your submitted shares and 5 minutes is not enough to average out your speed. Try setting it to 30 mins and see if it will be more consistent.

I ought to admit that looking through 67 pages for an answer is beyond my patience, but I'll try 30 minutes! Smiley

Also, has the live support been taken down? I haven't seen it "online" for two days now, or is my browser just being a bitch?

How is the "Average speed in last 5 minutes" measured?

As far as I can see it takes a sample every now and then, because my miners more or less constantly runs around 370-380 Mhash/s and the site lists me as low as 208 Mhash/s in the history window - why is this?

EDIT: Now the counter itself says 150 Mhash/s when I can see on the miners that they don't even dive that low, stable at speeds mentioned before

Well, I've gone from getting paid 0.06 per block to 0.03-0.04 per block, and despite the high hashrate i don't see that many more blocks, so I am watching over my BTC/24 because currently it has decreased Sad

I would prefer two pools with 300GH/s contrary to one with 600

Stale percentage may vary, how much do you get ?
I used to have 0.4-0.7 but since the pool exceeded 400 Gh/s it's been increased to 0.14% Sad
0.14% is much less than 0.4-0.7%

Sorry, touchphone failed!
I meant 0.07 and not 0.70 xD

I'll be trying out this pool, web looks slick!
76  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: New mining pool with proportional reward distribution on: May 10, 2011, 09:14:53 AM
Is it just me, or has the stale percentages gone up and the amount og BTC you get from proportional (because you get less the more people that helps) per day gone down, since the pool rate exceeded 300-400 Gh/s?
You won't get less BTC if pool gains more hashrate.

I have tried the previous version of the GUIMiner and the new, both has increased stale rates compared to before

Or is that just me
