I think the only way markets can recover is when there is less uncertainty on the impact of the SEC stance on exchanges. There have been some not so good news from US and Japan markets lately.

I got inactive too. There is a lot of hurdles to join ICOs nowadays and it quite tiring for me.
You have to do due diligence, join groups and campaign but still cannot join the crowdsale.

Will wish it for it to go down to 5K so I can buy more. With Lightning Network being tested on the mainnet, Bitcoin will return to what it was intended to be, a secure means of exchange instead of being an asset.

#As more and more people find out, if they hold some kind of currency from the beginning, it is likely to produce very high returns. Many companies/groups/individuals have set up new projects and launched ico/airdrop. But many projects could still be scams or air COINS. It is important to learn how to effectively identify and reduce loss at the beginning.
#As a new member of BTT, the following is my recent summary:
1) people need continuous promotion and invitation. There are even no restrictions on the sale of money.
2) continuous demand fund.
3) the crude white paper/did not follow the development process of the white paper.
4) even it's a copy of someone else's project.
5) it only talks to you about dreams/its application value is only in the oral stage.
6) and reasonable projects need to have equality, transparency and trust.
7) at the beginning, it was established to make money.
8） it doesn't have a technical team.

What is this happening, does someone pumping Ripple?
On hindsight, Ripple went back to the ground and BTC falls a bit. BTC still a strong contender once Lightning Network is fully functional. |

People should promote local products and be proud, it would a good way to have economic progress for any country. Stopping capitalism will help to balance the socio-economic hierarchy.
capitalism is the major reason why many third-world countries are poor and cannot make head way in development and come out of poverty. Local content is the best way for any government to come out of poverty and suffering. Local products develop a country why capitalism enslave them. Unfettered capitalism is always a double edge sword (see Dirty Money in Netflix). It encourages scrupulous business practices just for profits. I think there should be a balance between capitalism and socialism to better the community instead of just a select few. The still widening wealth gap is creating more tension between the haves and have nots. Spreading the wealth will ensure sustainability of harmony in the community. |

as i said on the title what are the good effects and bad effects of robots in replacing human jobs.
What is your opinion about this guys.
My thinking is that it will free us humans from manual work and want. Make our lives a lot easier, more time for self-actualization and pursuing other hobbies. Work though instills with us a sense of purpose and keeps the economy grinding, without it, people may just stay at home and do not socialize, lesser birth rate (probable extinction of human race). |

I made around 700 USD from Hawala.Today and 300 USD from Rebellious. Those are not peak numbers, could have had a higher amount but the crash happened.

Since the ban on ICO and exchanges released by Chinese government on September 4, it seems investors from Chinese market have very limited influence on the global BTC price, do you agree? Share your comments below.
China surely has no bearing on btc prices as of now. With the way the government is acting, it seems they do not want money to out of their economy as what it was before they clamped down on btc. My speculation is China will not really embrace bitcoin, only the technology. They see bitcoin as a product of western ideology and will undermine the communist party there. |

It ensures you can go up when you hit member level. Once you are member level you will be needing merits from someone else. |

After the implementation of the merit system, it will be much more difficult to earn the higher ranks. It will not only require the activity but also quality posts that earn merits. Earning the merits is the most difficult task of ranking up.
Have been feeling the brunt of this change as I do not have any bitcointalk groups to work with to increase my merit. |

Very hard to get into ICOs nowadays (whitelist, KYC etc.). Used to just send investment -> receive tokens.
Not investing yet. There seems to be a good coin though - Dragoncoin for the casino industry. Check it out if you want.

So lets say I put in $100 dollars. I buy while its at a low of $10,400. The price goes up to $10,400 and I sell. Whata my profit?
Seems a loss to me since there is no change in the buying and selling price. You will be paying fees along the way so you need some gains. Buy - 10K USD Sell - 11K USD 10% profit or 1K profit minus fees true profit. This is if you are just using USD as indicator of profit, others use btc price movement to better track profits. |
