Hi people!
some months ago i started mining bitcoins on GNU/Linux, under Debian, and i used Ufasoft's Bitcoin-miner. It was for me the best mining soft, because i reached with it, on a Phenom x6 with a Geforce 9400GT, 15MHash/s (maximum, with 100% CPU use).
On other computers i've got, i tried to execute that soft, but on all of them i get the same error: Segmentation fault. Those computers are: a Intel Centrino, a Celeron, a Pentium 4 (with intel GPUs, so i know i'm not going to obtain lot o hashrate with them but.,..), and a Athlon 64 with an integrated Geforce 6150SE.
So i thought that error was because that mining soft doesn't allow single-core CPUs...
but some days ago i messed up my debian (on my main 6-cores AMD Phenom) and i installed Linux Mint. And i also get the same problem!!! Segmentation Fault!
For example, that's the command-line order and the segfault on a netbook with a Centrino:

On that computer i also get a core dumped fail.
So on the phenom ii x6 i can run another mining soft... but UFasoft's was the best! The only two programs i been able to run were Cpuminer (minerd) and Cgminer.
Cpuminer: i can mine with 100% cpu (6 cores) at 6/7 MH/s.
Cgminer: i can mine with my GPU at 3/4MH/s, with my system very lagged.
So as you can see Ufasoft's Miner was giving to me the best results!!!


So i ask if somebody knows how to fix the Ufasoft's mining soft problem... i really appreciate it ^^!!

Lo de la sincronización ya lo he conseguido... en principio. Comparto únicamente el wallet.dat y en principio funciona bien (entre Linux y Winsux en este PC y con Linux en otro PC).
Ahora tengo que ver, cuando termine el cliente en Linux de bajarme todos los bloques, si puedo compartir entre este PC y los dos sistemas los bloques... por el momento no me funcionó, aunque no estaba descargado totalmente    tiempo al tiempo.

Sobre las comisiones... si hago una trasferencia sin configurar las comisiones en el cliente Qt, que se supone que pasaría, que me pediría luego las comisiones o algo así?

Y sobre la minería... estuve buscando sobre la minería distribuida, "Pool mining"... ¿cual sitio me recomendáis? De momento me registre en mining.bitcoin.cz aunque aun no me descargue ningun soft para ello...

Hola buenas, hoy mismo empecé con esto de Bitcoin a ver como funciona y tal    pero tengo por aqui un par de cuestiones.
Me descargué el cliente "general", Bitcoin-Qt, para GNU/Linux. Todo bien (menos por los 4GB y pico que tiene que descargar  pero bueno da igual).

La primera pregunta es si con Bitcoin-Qt puedo minar bitcoins o tener posibilidades de minar, o si al menos con ese programa, según tengo entendido, puedo colaborar con la red Bitcoin (aunque no reciba nada a cambio), como si fuese el Boinc. 

En segundo lugar, no se si este programa tiene algún tipo de comisión o algo... Porque probé MultiBit pero creo que se lleva una cantidad de bitcoins al hacer un pago no?

Y en tercer lugar viene lo interesante. Tengo el cliente en GNU/Linux, pero a veces también uso Windows (para jugar  ) y como que me gustaría tener también ahí el cliente (el mismo de Linux). Pero claro, eso me tendría que descargar otros 4GB, siendo ya 8GB, demasiado...  Por lo que se me ocurrió hacer un enlace simbólico (junction), de tal forma que el programa debería leer la carpeta de "blocks" del cliente de Linux, para no tener que descargarme de nuevo todos los bloques y ocupar el doble. El problema es que de esta forma no funciona, ya que me da el siguiente error:

Error opening block database
Do you want to rebuild the block database now?

Sé que parece rebuscado, pero a ver si alguien sabe algo, alguna forma de sincronizar los archivos de bloques entre el cliente de Linux y el de Win.

Y para terminar: ¿se pueden compartir las carteras del cliente de Linux y el de Windows? Intenté hacer la misma jugada que con los blocks, crear un enlace simbólico para el directorio de archivos de Bitcoin (c:/users/yo/appdata/roaming/bitcoin) pero al arrancar el programa me daba un error relacionado con C++ que buscando vi que era relacionado con la configuracion, quitando el simbolico se arreglo.
