61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: October 26, 2017, 01:12:31 PM
You could've made it if you invested several years ago, now the market is getting scammy and crowded, but I like the fact that 90% of all BTC belongs to 0.7% of all adresses, this means the price will continue mooning, until ofcourse those fat fingers decide to dump it and go into fiat

Guys, please advise,  are there any other exchanges besides bitfinex who offer IOTA trading?

The team is very active of social media posting good news about this project. It seems price is still pretty low as compare with market potential so that I start buying again.
The team is active and it is no doubt but the price is dumping so hard , i checked the price few days back and it was 0.5$ and today i see it is gliding between 0.3 and 0.32$. I don't expect such price speculation for coins backed with innovative ideas but it seems someone is filling up money in their pocket.
It really looks like many IOTA holders sell their coins to buy bitcoin as they see opportunity. Besides the problem of IOTA is lack of advertising - any good news is only known to a narrow circle of people. Besides welcome of new staff most of the news can be learned only from someone's article on a medium.
Why would someone sell at such low prices? Drawback of IOTA imo is a lack of simplicity, general public does not quite get what tangle is and how it works, besides that the work with the light wallet is not intutive at all.

I'm trying to come up with the reason of why would someone need to borrow BTC? Except when pople are trying to show that they've recieved some pre-ico funds for their poject.

Globally price action looks like its at the end of wave two, and IOTA is still bound to have an informational hype during major wave three, lets just hope this is indeed the case.
I believe the core team should hire a good marketing team to spread a word about IOTA to ordinary people! It's like blockchain 2.0, people just don't get it because of complexiti and stuff, this better change sooN!
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why so many currencies? on: October 18, 2017, 06:10:54 AM
There are a lot of tokens, which are not currencies per se, they are just like common stock of the company - provide you some sort of participation in different startup projects.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: October 16, 2017, 08:00:25 AM
Yes Bitcoin is the new era of currency. It is voluntary, decentralized, and open source. This money will only continue to grow and get better because of that and that's just what it's doing.

What about its volatility, for me as a merchant its very inconvenient to accept BTC for my product/service because people still tend to calculate everything in fiat and price of BTC changes very fast relative to fiat? BTW, are there any BTC-based projects who are trying to tackle this issue?

I'm very skeptical about one thing, check out this statistics: https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
70% of all bitcoins are owned by less than 1% of all addresses. If bitcoin was supposed to be decentralized, how does this statistics support the decentralization case?
Some top miners could just make an agreement and corner the market for example, or perform the 51% attack, e.t.c.
69  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: October 15, 2017, 04:27:03 PM
I can't come up with any reasons of why would i want to lend or borrow a coin? Except when I'm margin trading, but thats done through standart exchange mechanisms, could please anyone explain that to a newbie?  Wink

I bought Iota at $ 0.8 1000, then 1000 at $ 0.7. I bought a 1000 at $ 0.60 and $ 0.50. Now I will buy 1000 Iota at $0.4
Currently, my average price is $ 0.60
I'll keep buying Iota. until the price is $ 0.01  Grin Grin Grin

This is almost exactly what I did! I'm waiting moon! =)
