Liverpool - Leeds game is a really nice one. We can watch a high-scoring game here I believe. Even Liverpool by themselves can score 4 or 5 goals I think. Leeds have a big vulnerability in their defense line now and Liverpool are the best team when it comes to scoring. They are the top scorer team in the standings with 50 goals. And Leeds are the second most conceding team now. Liverpool would just destroy them in this.

Barcelona played much better than I expected against Sevilla. Especially after Sevilla's getting a red card, Barcelona increased their goal attempts more. Even though they dominated both halves of the game, they still couldn't prevent the game from ending in a 1-1 draw. It was because of their incapability about finishing. Barcelona really need to add a good striker to the team to be more effective in scoring.
A draw is not a bad result for Barcelona, moreover, they come as guests and the opponent is Sevilla. They should have taken advantage of the red card received by Sevilla, but Sevilla is not an opponent that can be defeated easily, and in this match, Sevilla played quite well (it's a shame that Jules Kounde did such a stupid act). I agree that this is still not a bad score for Barcelona. But they should be unhappy about not being able to benefit from Sevilla's playing with ten players for around half an hour. Sevilla resisted them very well which deserves to be appreciated much. Sevilla wasted a big opportunity to decrease the point difference with Real Madrid to 3 too but it is still 5 now. As long as they fight till the end, they could have a chance for the lead. |

Italy was playing world cup qualifiers terribly, they were unable to win most games, achieving only boring ties against considered weak teams such as Northern Ireland and Bulgaria. And even though Switzerland isn't a weak team, Italy should have been superior to them, but they were unable to do it as well, staying in second position in group C. Considering it, Portugal seems to have some advantage over them.
However, at same time, Italy has played Eurocopa 2021 brightly and that is a very strong factor at their favour. I could even believe Italy has totally focused their effort and energy in Eurocopa until now and since it's over, they can fully concentrate their skills in world cup from this phase on.
Italy really got surprising results in the World Cup Qualifiers. But they are still a very strong team. And as we are talking about the chance to join the World Cup now, I expect them to improve their performance a lot compared to before. They would eliminate North Macedonia easily. But let's say that they have a matchup against Portugal in the final round of the playoffs, then things are going to get really interesting. But I still believe in Italy to advance. |

It looks like the Premier League fixture is going to be really tight even on Christmas. Aston Villa - Chelsea is a really good match of the coming week. Aston Villa have been doing a good job since Steven Gerrard became their new manager. They lost two games but these were against Manchester City and Liverpool which is quite normal. And here, they might upset Chelsea as Chelsea haven't been good nowadays. Bu honestly, I don't expect Chelsea to get another disappointing result. I think that they will defeat Aston Villa even if it is going to be difficult.

Eredivisie is really fun this year. Because there is a real competition among three teams for the title now. They are Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. The competition level is going higher and higher as we are leaving the match weeks behind one by one. PSV are the current leader. Ajax still follow them by the same gap after defeating Feyenoord 2-0 away. And in one month, there is a PSV - Ajax game also. If the gap stays the same until then, it can be a really interesting game.

There are still three days for the new match week to start. As far as I can see, the most salient game is Monaco - Rennes. Monaco are trying to get back to their performance in the last season at least but they should keep winning to be able to do this now. Rennes are in a much better condition than them and playing big for the top positions in the standings. Each team can score I think but I don't have a clear opinion about which side can win.

I see a comfortable triumph for Real Madrid in this one. Cadiz lost to Atletico by 4-1 before and Real Madrid can destroy them too.

Fulham and Bournemouth have done a great job so far. Fulham are still the leader and Bournemouth are following them two points behind. However, some interesting things have been happening for some weeks. Fulham couldn't have gotten any victory for four weeks and it is five weeks for Bournemouth. This helped the other teams to get close to them a lot. And we are nearly halfway through the season. The competition level can go higher in time as it seems.

I don't think that Mercedes will do an appeal anymore. It is obvious that FIA won't be accepting their mistake. They will just move on like nothing happened especially in last moments of the race. I don't want the winner to change of course but FIA should have confirmed that they made a big mistake there. They are just losing their credibility by doing this.
