61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GREEN, GREEN, GREEN a great color on: February 09, 2018, 11:12:26 AM
To be honest, I like red more than green because I want to buy some coins/tokens at lower prices. Red is my favorite color since childhood until now. We all wanted Bitcoin and other altcoins to rise, but when it comes to red, just don't panic.

Think of it as an opportunity to buy altcoins you want at discounted prices such as XEM, ETN, TRX and so on.

Well it is an opportunity if you want to buy with fiat, but since most of the times we have to sell some of our coins to buy other coins, if everything is red, it doesn't matter that much. Drops provide an opportunity to buy low only if you want to bring fresh money in.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: February 09, 2018, 09:40:42 AM
What is happening with Tron? Why does it look like a dead coin?

Pretty much every single coin looks dead right now, nothing has recovered since the last drop. If you also consider the FUD surrounding TRX claiming it is a scam, it is no surprise that the coin is dead for now. Let's see if it will eventually recover.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance: Hacked or not? on: February 09, 2018, 09:36:44 AM
Although it looks like binance didn't get hacked, it is a little bit worrying how they didn't announce the outage in advance. Even though there may be no bad intentions behind it, such sudden outages definitely look fishy and reduce people's confidence in the exchange.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: February 08, 2018, 06:45:03 PM
I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? I looked at Mossland's Whitepaper and they seem ok. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!
ICO are kinda risky if you ask me. Instead why not invest in downed good projects that have proven themselves with good development and a healthy community and has new updates coming in future, such as ETC.

Well, the riskier an investment is, the more money you can make off of it. Some people are trying to make big money, and if you manage to find an ICO which will eventually become successful, than there is no reason not to invest.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties aren't dead on: February 08, 2018, 06:40:58 PM
Bounty in such view as now too close to die. So much multi-accs. Some bountists full-time work instead of real work and think that it's forever. I think we need some reformat

I think no one in their right mind would believe that bounty hunting as a full-time job is a reliable future. It is here now, and hopefully it will stay, but no one can know what the future will be. The format as it is is OK in my opinion.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance: Hacked or not? on: February 08, 2018, 06:35:58 PM
McAfee is not even claiming that they are hacked. He is just throwing the rumor out there, that there are screenshots being circulated (where?) which are possibly shopped, which may or may not indicate that binance was hacked. It's not even a statement, he's just saying something for having said something. I have no idea what his purpose is.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which alts should i buy now? on: February 04, 2018, 09:27:55 AM
I would probably go for XRP and XLM as safe investments. If you are willing to take some risks (because there are some FUD and scam rumors surrounding them) you may want to go for XVG and TRX; if the FUD around them disappears, both coins will definitely moon.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when you are over 50% lose on your trades? on: February 04, 2018, 09:22:11 AM
Hopefully the market will turn soon.

The question is when the market will turn. It has to turn.

The market won't be turning until 6-8 months from now, maybe even much longer. The last time this occurred lasted for 2-2.5 years

Buckle in or gtfo asap

Thank you for the realistic approach. Every time the price dipped in the last two months, people have been commenting "now the price will start to increase" or "there is no way but up", without giving any reasons at all. The market shows no signs of real recovery and it looks like it is going to be like this for the foreseeable future.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: February 04, 2018, 09:14:09 AM
People keep telling you that a good trader is patient, doesn't get demoralized and so on. I will tell you something else: A good trader also knows when to cut losses and leave the market. If you find yourself consistently making wrong decisions and losing your peace of mind, perhaps the crypto market is not for you. There is no shame in that.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you be worried? on: February 04, 2018, 09:00:58 AM
Depends on when you entered the market. If you bought at the ATH levels two months ago, it's difficult not to lose your mind right now, especially if you wanted to make some quick money. As such, the golden rule of crypto still applies: Only invest the amount of money you are ready to lose.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paradigm shift from BTC to ETH on: February 03, 2018, 04:44:58 PM
You have to factor in the implementation of lightning network, which is supposed to address a lot of the problems that bitcoin has right now. If the scalability issues of bitcoin addressed, there is no reason for bitcoin not to take off once again. Also consider the fact that BTC is the poster child of all cryptocoins, and the importance of this in the minds of the people, I think that bitcoin will always remain above ETH.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is this the end of crypto? on: February 03, 2018, 04:40:46 PM
Crypto will never die due to price volatility. If crypto should eventually die, it will happen due to external effects, like governments banning and so on. But if no external effects occur, the price volatility will not be the end of crypto. The markets will be volatile until they are not.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Panic Sell ? / Chance on: February 03, 2018, 04:36:47 PM
good trader never sell loss.

This is wrong. A good trader looks at the indicators, and if it looks like the price will continue to fall for the foreseeable future, they cut their losses and sell, to make up elsewhere. It is simply not a good practice to HODL without paying attention to the trends and indicators.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: January 28, 2018, 12:37:24 PM
It will take time for the ethereum to catch up with bitcoin in term of price but i believe the future will be good for ethereum and the rest of cryptocurrencies in the market. It's only a matter of time before the altcoins will show their way to the top.

The price is not everything, and it can go down very suddenly. We have seen that bitcoin's scalability issues are still unaddressed, since the blockchain was not able to handle the number of transactions coming in when the interest in bitcoin skyrocketed towards the end of 2017. If these issues persist, there is no reason that a competitor that can handle the traffic take bitcoin's place.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite security coin? on: January 28, 2018, 12:32:48 PM
Curious to see what everyone's choice is for privacy coins. I feel they are really important to have in your portfolio so wanted to see which ones are good.
My favorite privacy coins, without any doubt are verge and monero.
I love monero simply because of the fact that it is one of the most popular coins available in their market and the transactions are untraceable along with the making of transactions which make it super private.it is one of the good coins for investment.
The another coin i love is verge as i see alot of potential in verge. The transactions are private and even the ip addreess of sender and receiver are private. You can expect good amount of growth from it within 2-3 years for sure.

I am (was) hopeful about XVG as well, but there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the coin, saying that it might be a scam. Even if these allegations may not be true, since a lot in the crypto environment relies on the impression you make instead of the actual product, I'm afraid the price will not increase unless the FUD is addressed.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feedback on my alts. on: January 28, 2018, 12:30:54 PM
How much money do you have in your portfolio? If we are talking about small amounts, then it might not be a good idea to diversify this much, because although you are reducing risks, you are reducing the money you can make as well. It might be a better idea to invest in fewer but more secure coins.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got ripped off by Binance's withdrawal transaction fee - BE AWARE!!! on: January 27, 2018, 08:05:19 PM
Normally the generic advice is to never keep your coins in your exchange wallet, but how much money do you have? If it is not much, you may choose to keep them in your exchange wallet for now. Because if you want to trade often, and trade using a bunch of altcoins, transferring them between your offline wallet and your exchange wallet is going to make you run out of money in no time due to transaction fees.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when you are over 50% lose on your trades? on: January 27, 2018, 07:57:33 PM
Dare to invest means dare to take risks.
The situation you are experiencing now means you are having bad luck.
Your actions are right with keep in holding them, I will also do the same.
Wait until the value back up, at least exceeded a little of the amount of funds that you spend, after that it is up to you, whether to sell or re still hold if you want to get big profit.

I agree with your overall sentiment, but this piece of advice shouldn't mean that you should be patient forever even if all your coins are in the red. You should keep checking whether something is wrong with your portfolio, check the news, check the graphs and indicators; and if it looks like your portfolio is not going to recover, you should cut your losses and invest in other coins.

The price of your coins is not going to start increasing magically, so you have to make sure (as much as possible) that they are going to rise again. Otherwise, you may hodl forever coins that are going to keep falling and become worthless in the end.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass Bounty hunter or Full time crypto trader on: January 27, 2018, 06:43:45 PM
I wonder what is better, a Mass bounty hunter or a full time crypto trader? What are the pros and cons of each chosen position?

A mass bounty hunter must first build assets to be able to bounty hunt. It requires time to build your account in Bitcointalk, it requires time to reach a large number of followers in Twitter and it takes time to generate a large number of followers in Facebook. If you want to create a blog with enough audience not to mention learning a language to translation level....

Trading can be done straight away.

I have read all the comments and surprised! Why to choose between those two? The best is you do both. You participate to the bounties and try to make some money there and when you make money, you use it in your trading to make it even more.

The problem is time, of course. You simply will not have enough time to build up an account and accumulate followers across various channels. Add to that the fact that day trading takes even more time than that... So you probably have to choose between the two.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any exchange with decent volume and no verification needs? on: January 26, 2018, 03:47:30 PM
Binance dont need id verification for you to be able to withdraw funds you only need to activate 2 factor authentication. binance also have huge trading volume because other exchanges stop accepting new users that is why people use alternative exchanges like binance. I personally use it because they have mobile app so whenever im going out of town i will still be able to monitor my trades.

But are you forced to deliver a phone number or can you bypass the 2factor authentication? I would rather not have to enter a phone number since that is anti privacy and i don't really need 2 factor authentication, not to mention the whole thing is just retarded and exploitable, anyone that isn't stupid doesn't need anything else but an email a password and a recovery email in case you lose the used email.

You can use google authenticator as well, instead of providing your phone number., if you are worried about your privacy. And as far as I know binance requires 2-factor-authentication only if you want to withdraw money, so when you trade coins during the day, you don't have to use 2FA every single time.
