Mining is fun (well, most for the little miners, and more in the past, but that's still that). I helped a lot I think. Also, what to do with all the people that bought mining hardware ? What to do with the fex companies living of mining hardware sales and exploitation ? That's facts that need to be taken into account.

Segwit has not been released. You are doing an inadequate amount of reading. The code for Segwit has been released and merged. It will most likely come with the next Bitcoin Core version (0.12.2/3).
Any estimated time before this to come ? Since the latest update was pretty recently, I doubt that we will see something in the near future.

The best thing to do is for sure to put it in a paper wallet, that you would hide in a safe or something like this to be sure that you will never touch it before the 10 next years. That's what I personally did with a big part of my stack.

If you create a poll, that would be a pleasure for me to help you. The easiest way, like suggested many time before would be to create something via Google Docs.

As long as the Internet is up, Bitcoin will be running. But if you take the problem in another way, if survives in a mental way, I'd say no, because people will be too busy rebuilding the world to care about Bitcoin. They will be seeking food and water, because it will be survival, not the return of a normal life, and it will be like that for many other years.

I don't think that is a big problem. Blockchain.info's location service is really approximative. Most of my transactions are located at the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a big non-sense, except if at least 1/4 of the nodes are located on a boat. But. Wait ! And if the Altantide was there, accumulating bitcoins for the World domination plan ?! And if Satoshi was their God ?! I think that now, mates, you can start create 40 threads discussing the probability for Satoshi to be Atlantide's God or King !

That's sure that Bitcoin will revolutionise our lives. I think it will be near as important as the Internet was.

I'd say that it would be better to read some tings here on the forum than some books. You'll learn more.

Loan amount : 0.09BTC or 0.025BTC Collateral : Bitcointalk account+ Steam/ or Battlenet account (You can PM me about validating what both accounts contain including very valuable toons) Loan reason : need bitcoin to buy shift card and buy shares in group buys Your BTC address : 1GZw9rvRY6ErBQJNYi44r35rAvPP3zQUBK Repayment offered : .1222 BTC or if bitcoin talk account is chosen then I'll repay 0.045 Date of repayment : January 22-24, started a new job and that's my first paycheck.
Thank you for the opportunity and be sure to check my trust.
How much activity points and posts have the Bitcointalk account ? Steam accounts are not a valid collateral because you can easily claim that you were hacked. I think that it is the same for Battle.net account and thus I won't be able to accept it as a collateral too. PS : 1500th post ! I have 71 activity points and 40 trust. Congrats on 1500th post. Given that neither steam or battlenet of value we can disregard the original amount. What exactly do you mean by 40 trust ? If I understand well, this is this account that will be used as collateral ? Yes, this account. I'm referencing 40 triust that are displayed on my profile from trades in the marketplace.
