61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL or SELL during dip??? on: January 26, 2018, 03:35:58 PM
I think people need to do very thorough research on any coin they invest in. This will ensure they have the confidence in the project to hold on during bear cycles.

But position size is everything.

Nobody panic sells a coin which make up 1-5% of their total portfolio. It's a different matter when the coin account for maybe 30-40% and it's dropping like a cannonball..
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: tokenmanager.io: Manage your own ICO pool for your friends/family on: January 26, 2018, 03:28:20 PM
I can see this becoming a very helpful tool for people managing funds for others.

I do believe, however, that there might be laws prohibiting this kind of activity in some countries, so maybe put a disclaimer up on your website, encouraging users to do their own due diligence on this aspect.

Regards,

Fileiro.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elastic (xel) price speculation on: January 24, 2018, 01:52:36 PM
XEL is one of my favourite coins in my portfolio right now.

I am very confident it will surprise most people BIGLY to the upside in the very near future Wink
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The real reason why the crypto market is crashing on: January 24, 2018, 09:17:01 AM
I think the January crash is a recurring phenomenon in crypto.

We will most likely see another bull run in alts by early March so now is a great time to stock up on cheap altcoins.

I don't believe the FUD that is being spread is the cause of the crash. Rather, I believe certain whales in the market are using the FUD to unload some of their holdings to create the ILLUSION that the crypto-currency market is tanking in order for the whales to scoop up cheap coins when the newbies panic sell.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many altcoins do you hold? on: January 24, 2018, 08:59:03 AM
I'm spread out evenly in the following 7 alts (up 750% in my portfolio since late October):

ELASTIC

RUBYCOIN

BITCRYSTALS

GRIDCOIN

STARTCOIN

EVERGREENCOIN

FLORINCOIN

Besides these, which I have invested in on Bittrex, I'm HODLing all air drop coins I'm collecting for at least 2-3 years because I'm convinced were still in the very early innings of a massive bull market in crypto-currencies.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out on: January 24, 2018, 08:51:43 AM
I actually see the cannabis-related coins making a huge splash this year. There's a lot of buzz about marijuana stocks right now due to the increase in legalization in North America especially and I would be surprised if this hype didn't spill over into the crypto-currencies focused on this sector.

Sweden are a bunch of cucks, western cancer

Don't you mean 'Swedistanis' Wink

captain sweden triggered

Haha not even close. I just happen to live there for the moment.

And I was actually agreeing with your original assessment of the Swedes but your IQ obviously left you incapable of deducting this from my reply.

But now that i know you're 'special' I promise not to make fun of you <3

Funny how these type of FUD posts are always coming from fresh newbie accounts..
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOLD your sh*t on: January 21, 2018, 10:56:01 PM
Market cap is a useless number to ever look at with crypto, it's a zero sum game. Just two players in a zero sum game can bring the market cap to any arbitrary number.

Imagine you create a new crypto, and mine 1 billion coins for yourself.
Your friend also creates a crypto, and mines 1 billion coins for himself.

You tell your friend "I'll give you a thousand dollars for one of your coins, if you give me a thousand dollars for one of my coins" and you both agree. You exchange $1000, meaning $0 between you two.
Last sale price of one of your coins? $1000. Last sale price of his coin? $1000. $1000 x 1 billion = 1 trillion.  Congrats, you are both the world's first trillionaires in terms of market cap. Despite the fact that $0 has really been exchanged.

Instead, you need to look at if you are putting money INTO the system, or taking money OUT of the system. If you take out more money then you put in, you made a profit and are winning the game. If you put more money into it than you take out, you take a loss and are losing the game. Guess what holders do? They lose. The only thing you are holding is the bag.

The fact that HODL is a meme and an army of people are trained to sit there and take it is why professional traders love crypto. In any other financial market, the investors generally know they must be defensive at all times. You don't hold a losing asset. You get rid of it, and when it represents good value again, you rebuy in at a lower rate. You save yourself from loses and maximize gains. HODLers are such noobies that they make crypto markets easy prey for manipulation.

So the dumb noobies who 'sat there and took it' from the time bitcoin was 5$ till now really needs to learn how to 'trade' from a guru like you, huh?

The fuck outta here with that shit..
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmed: china central bank issued a new document against cryptocurreny on: January 19, 2018, 07:34:44 AM
Everybody is acting as if the Chinese, who only a year ago (as far as I remember, please correct me if I'm wrong) made up 90% of the trading volume in the crypto-currency market, have sold off all of their mined (free) bitcoins and all of their altcoin holdings.

Obviously, this is NOT the case. They just moved it to exchanges outside mainland China and this latest flash crash had the Chinese finger prints all over it, with the well-coordinated FUD campaign from first the South Koreans, immediately followed by the Chinese government officials.

Anybody that thinks the top brass in the communist party isn't all holding massive amounts of bitcoins is seriously naive.

This is pure market manipulation by the Chinese whales that still sit on a shit-ton of crypto. They sold off at the exact time the FUD was announced to drive the market off the cliff and then all the new dumb money followed blindly after, only to hand over their coins for a pittance to the Chinese, waiting to scoop it all up.

The OP in this thread seems to be some amateur FUD'er who missed the memo about the big sell off 2 days ago.

HODLing baby!
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 【CANDY】-Receive all free tokens at once on: January 18, 2018, 10:55:25 AM
Hi,

the concept itself is a great idea, however:

I'm too paranoid about hacking to give out a functioning phone number for air drops (as everybody should be!)

Strictly burner email/Twitter accounts.

You may want to skip asking for a phone number if you are serious about this project.

Happy Chinese New year to you too Smiley

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The real reason your altcoins are currently going down (important) on: January 16, 2018, 01:20:45 AM
Super explanation, hopefully at least some newbies stop chasing the price down by panick-selling.

This is a BULL MARKET!!! Stop wetting your diaper every time the big boys shake the tree a little bit!

(Not directed at the OP, just a caring reminder to all the new money entering crypto these days..)
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could we expect more years like "2017"? on: January 15, 2018, 10:50:47 PM
To the people saying "we can't expect 20x growth anymore", let me just point out that there are ZERO institutional money (pension/mutual funds) in bitcoin yet.

These big players won't enter until the crypto-currency market is 1 trillion+ which I expect we will see before this summer.

Once these guys all try to get a piece of the pie, this new asset class will blow up (in the good way!)
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This latest sell-off in altcoins is the headfake before the MELT-UP!!! on: January 13, 2018, 01:17:16 PM
OK, full disclosure, I don't actually own a crystal ball.

The headline of my post is meant to underscore a very important phenomenon in all markets:

Before the market moves up, it will quite often see a large, FALSE move in the opposite direction.

This traps the most people on the 'wrong side' of the move.

Anyone remember what happened after China banned crypto-currency trading and Jamie Dimon called bitcoin a fraud?

Biggest leg up ever followed shortly after, catching most people other than the hardcore religious HODL-zealots completely off guard.

My point is, this doesn't feel like a normal correction. Feels more like the headfake move before the rocket takes off.

Obviously, I may be completely wrong but I'm definitely not selling anything in my portfolio..

Fileiro.
You're on to something. There is a lot of people on here that expected the price to go up immediately after Christmas, there is also a lot of Altcoins getting dumped now. The people that are holding Bitcoin will get their money later though the people that sold their coins will just get left out.

Honestly, I think that the some Governments are trying to purchase Bitcoin on the low.

Yes, absolutely. The Koreans stole a page right out of Jamie Dimon's playbook.

I hope this is the beginning of a bull run in altcoins that will match the one we saw in bitcoin last year Smiley
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think market will pump when exchanges open registration again? on: January 11, 2018, 11:14:08 PM
Well the mere fact that exchanges have to close for new sign ups indicates a huge demand for crypto-currency.

We're in the middle of bitcoins next leg down so all alts move down with it until it pauses again at a lower level.

This latest down leg in BTC comes right on the heels of the fake news about South Korea banning crypto.

I think we will see a massive slingshot move up for alts very soon Smiley
