61  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is cloud mining with PBmining.com profitable ??? on: June 15, 2014, 05:27:59 PM
I invested in this and got paid every Sunday. I wish they would provide more proof of ownership of the ASIC's though. Be careful...
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your percent chance that Bitcoin will be the "Myspace" of cryptos? on: June 15, 2014, 05:08:14 PM
I don't think you will ever be able to compare MySpace to Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin will always be used the next 10-30 years. I do think that a new coin will be developed which is easier to use for the typical layman and that coin will be bigger than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is here to stay though.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: June 15, 2014, 05:01:17 PM
For the third day in a row there has been another crazy Martingale sequence on Just-Dice.  Today's was looking like a textbook "no, it doesn't work" story:

Here's the bet list:

but then, 32 hours after his long losing sequence he came back and made one last bet in the sequence:

And then his chart looked like this:

Does martingale really works?

It appears that yes, sometimes it really does if you have balls of steel...

Here's how noway's win fits in with the rest of the week's gains and losses at JD:

Here are his bets broken up into Martingale progressions:

Quote

I think this is an example of why it does not work. He was only going to win a few 0.005 bets in the best case scenario and in this case he was only a few bets away of losing his total bankroll. It was either a win of 0.005 or a loss of 100+ BTC.

66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple Approves Bitcoin Wallets on: June 15, 2014, 04:46:38 PM
people still use apple produts ?
soooo 2013

but yeah, good news for you folks who do use apple and bitcoin in general. did they give a reason and to their change of heart ??

Apple has great products actually, it's just that they are uber expensive. I loved my iPhone when I had one and I've used Macs from other people.
The OS is great, it's just the hardware that is way too expensive.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Pool Ghash.io DDos-ed in Response to threat of 51% attack? on: June 15, 2014, 04:35:39 PM
Ghash is a weird...odd place. I've also moved my mining to other pools. I can't for the life of me understand how the price of GHS is constantly on the increase there. Doesn't matter what BTC does or any of the attacks, the GHS price always is on the rise. To me, that's a sign of manipulation. But I am an idiot... and don't know wtf I'm talking about, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Wink

I've heard that the price of a GH/s was at 0.1BTC in December 2013 so it hasn't always been on the rise.
68  Other / Off-topic / Re: I unexpectedly inherited £290,000 and I never dealt with this much money help? on: June 14, 2014, 08:19:40 PM
Whatever you do make sure to be patient and don't make hasty decisions. I don't know any statistics but I'm sure that when most people who get a ton of money are fastly parted with it. Everyone will want a piece once they know you have it. So make sure you keep it to yourself that you have that kind of money. Some people will know regardless, I'm sure the bank will call you about great investment strategies the second that money hits your account.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi is either dead or in prison on: June 14, 2014, 07:17:14 PM
With regards to Satoshi not spending the (first) coins he mined. It's obvious that the designer of Bitcoin is very intelligent thus why wouldn't he already have a ton of wealth/fiat money before Bitcoin. No need to sell Bitcoin if you truly believe in it (and of course he is the number one believer) and you already have enough fiat to satisfy your living needs.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Would u pay in bitcoin? on: June 14, 2014, 04:34:11 PM
Would depend on what % of discount you get. Remember when aquiring bitcoins you often have to pay a premium to obtain them.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: Silkroad seized bitcoins to impact price? on: June 13, 2014, 03:27:14 PM
I think the recent drop in prizes has more to do with the 51% share of the mining pools and not with this sale.

73  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinbet.cc -- $340,000 stolen, the worst 45 days of my life. [Long] on: June 09, 2014, 09:51:57 PM
Why go for a casino whit a .cc domain? thats even stupit as a casino.tk domain.
Why go for a bitcoin casino, everyone knows the chances of winning are lower there.

Why not go for 888 or Casino-on-Net, or even unibet?

Almost all casino's, even those with .com addresses are located in obscure offshore countries. I remember so many poker sites who vanished with
deposits and they all had .com domains. Always keep low amounts of money in those sites and just consider it as lost money since you have zero
ground to stand on when shit hits the fan.
74  Economy / Gambling / Re: THE BEST BITCOIN POKER SITE IS... on: June 09, 2014, 09:36:54 PM
I have played on Sealswithclubs.eu and I would give them a 4. Everything works very well. I would give them a 5 if they had software comparable to Full Tilt and PokerStars.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Cex.io: the largest Bitcoin cloud mining service, not a profitable investment on: June 09, 2014, 08:45:10 PM
I recently fell into the trap of investing there. I got eaten up in maintenance fees. Stuff like this is really working against Bitcoin. There have been a ton of big scams. I'm thinking pirate, Gox, BFL etc.

Erg leuke site!
