Hey Guys
I have a little problem...
After some tinkering i was able to bring my RX580 8GB cards to stable 29-30Mh/s. I have 5 of those cards and 1 of the 4GB version (which is also pretty good i have to admit).
But now to my problem, if i start the cards all individually they all bring the same performance, maybe +- 0,1 Mh/s, but when i start all of them together two of my cards need longer for the DAG creation 7200ms instead of the other 4900-5500ms .
And they only hash at around 20-22Mh/s.... I have no idea what i can do to bring some up with their buddies and like written further up.... on their own they are entirely capable of going 29-30 ....
Does anybody has any idea what i can do to improve my little problem ?
Sincerely
Sack
Try adding -gser 2 setting and increase this value if it does not work

Hi,
I am new to this so pleas forgive me if something like this was already mentioned or resolved...
So I am mining ETH with two Redon 280x... All was going well, but the after resetting my PC I can not mine anymore, I get error (OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU), however if I disconnect one card there are no errors... I have set virtual memory to 16 GB.
Can someone please help me, I can provide log files, I will run mine ETH for few days for you if you help me resolve this problem.
Which PSU, which OS, which driver version and which miner version are you using?

I'm using MSI RX 580 + win10 FCU + 17.10.3 drivers (this version works fine for me). After I installed atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5 I can overclock / undervolt the cards directly from Claymore miner (v.10.0 / 10.2 eth, v.12.6 zec, does NOT work with v.10.1 eth).

I don't get the point of people mentioning again and again about using 17.11.1 with FCU and how that has problems!
All drivers 17.11.1 - 17.10.2 - 17.10.3 HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS. Sometimes Compute mode is not turning on, sometimes it turns on but crashes and Afterburner support is broken.
GET OVER IT and install Beta Blockchain Driver 23 August and enjoy using AB, Claymore etc in FCU no problem!
Do you care for release notes with official support but in practise BROKEN drivers??
or
You prefer to use the BETA "unofficially" and have a working miner??
The problem is uninstalling drivers and installing FCU is not idiot proof so people are going to have issues. You'd be surprised how many people just over write drivers and expect it to work. Yes, I absolutely agree. Also, many people should have the patience to read carefully at least some previous posts where they might find answers to their questions or useful information to solve their issues.

Has anyone tried PBEv1.6.3? https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditorTiming modification (Ubermix 3.1) starts now at 1500 instead of 1750. My MSI rx580 gaming x (sk hynix H5GQ8H24MJ) modded with v1.6.2 does not go any further: ~27.5MH/s ETH, ~700 H/s XMR, ~320 H/s ZEC I can not overclock the ram over 2020Mhz without errors, but it is stable. Would be safe to try straps of v1.6.3 on my card?

For now I can say that FCU + 17.10.3 seems to work well compared to all drivers tested previously. Unfortunately for me OC with claymore does not work: win 10 bluescreen, video TDR error. I have to use OverdriveNTool for my MSI 580 gaming X and wattman for my ASUS R9 280x on same rig.
Are you using v10 or v10.1? I'm using the former and it is working flawlessly on 8 of my Nitros. is the fan control working for you. I use the same combination FCU + 17.10.3 + v10.0 and one of my cards the fan just starts and stops randomly even though I set the minimal speed to be 1000 rpm in wattman. Another problem is the fan and temp settings in wattman would reset to default values if I restart the rig. It is weird because only one out of six cards showed the fan start/stop symptom. Yes, fan settings work fine if the cards are not NVIDIA. Try setting all: -tstop -tt -fanmin -fanmax. Take a look at the miner's readme.txt file for details.
