Don't forget Bitfury...
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Gauging interest for an open-air case for Bitfury's ASICs on: July 20, 2013, 09:32:42 PM
Mark me down as interested as well.

Also, what size are those fans? My guess is 140mm. Thanks.

I'm glad to see product diversification of Bitfury products. Good luck with your product BitCentury!

1) August 400GH fullkit is ~$19k & October 400GH is $8k.  But August and October 25GH are both $1.3k.  Why is the 400GH at >50% discount for Oct but the 25GH has the same price as Aug?

The August 25GH kit price was an introductory price set to peak interest in the product. It then sold out in less than 24 hours. If the October 25GH kit were then to be priced at a large discount over the August 25GH kit, it too would sell out extremely quickly.
65  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 16, 2013, 02:13:51 PM
Dave.

August products show out of stock. October products show in stock. Is this accurate? or Can August stuff be ordered now even though it reads out of stock?

Short answers: Yes.  No.

Since the August deliveries are all sold out (and they aren't going to be adding stock for August), I recommend that they remove those items from the web store.  It just confuses the new folks.

Technically if somebody refunds their order (which happened once already), there would be limited August stock for a short amount of time.
66  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I got greedy... Can I make more money with my GPUs? on: July 12, 2013, 03:32:00 PM
Not making money per se, but apparently EVGA will give you "EVGA Bucks" for folding@home.

I know for sure the month of delivery is different.

That's the only difference.
68  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 11, 2013, 05:51:15 PM
For those of you planning on buying an October reel, prices will go up to $60k on 7/13.  Better jump now if you want the discount - it is below our lowest per-chip price target, so we need to get that price in line.

Are your "In stock" numbers accurate here? 400 stock * 3000 chips * (1.5 to 2.7 GH) = 1.8 PH/s to 3.24 PH/s (someone check my math, i have a habit of missing orders of magnitude Smiley)

wowzers

Your orders of magnitude are indeed correct. So yea... just a few H/s added to the network.

Mine is marked as paid as well.

Thanks Dave and Kat. Keep up the good work.

The order status is in "Pending"?  But the CC payment went through?

Yes. It seems as though Dave is doing it manually, I think. If so, my order number is #89.
71  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 10, 2013, 10:06:31 PM
My CC is still listed as pending. Is there anything else I need to do?

Make sure your credit card company didn't trigger fraud and freeze your card. Mine did and I had to call fraud protection to tell them I made the purchase. Last time this happened was when I bought 4 kegs and a bunch of liquor. Guy at credit card company calls, "Mr. Morblias, did you make a purchase at Liquor Store for $736?" "Hell yeah I did!" "Ok, thank you, your credit card is unfrozen."

The payment posted to my account. I don't think my card is frozen, but I haven't bought anything else since this purchase.

Yea, I was planning on waiting a bit, but now I'm glad I didn't. Though I guess I'm not surprised that they sold out that quickly. Let's hope for the best on this one.

In for a starter kit.

Best wishes to Bitfury, Megabigpower, and all others who purchased from this site.
75  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Status of GPU mining? Is there any still mining Bitcoins? on: July 04, 2013, 04:10:41 PM
Free power here. GPU is mining 24/7 (unless I'm playing games).

HashTech
Last Active:   June 21, 2013, 11:54:19 AM

Also, I sent an email last Thursday and have not yet received a response. So if not a scam, then definitely AWOL. The unusual thing is that the website is set to no longer take orders. If you order one, you will never receive an email. This means that there is no possibility for additional receiving of BTC on HashTech's end. If this truly is a scam, I would think they would try to get money for as long as possible.

My guess is that this is a legitimate effort to try to create a product, but they are likely running into more trouble than they expected getting things going. "Please be patient with us as we have had a few hiccups with regards to our new offices and staff..."
77  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASX Project on: June 27, 2013, 03:19:17 AM
FWIW...

I know of 3 people that have placed pre-orders.  Two of them were on the prototype list.  Obviously none of us have received anything yet else we'd be posting something much different.  On our order page it says

"Your system will be shipped on tuesday June 24th."

(And yes i realize that June 24th wasn't a tuesday)

That's the info i know of so far.  Still doubtful its legit, but at this point, either something shows up at my doorstep, or they are done with the scam cause there's no more lies to tell since they have committed to having something shipped.

June 24, 2014 is a Tuesday...
78  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashTech Avalon Clone Hashing Modules 22GH/s - 8.99 BTC * ESCROW * on: June 25, 2013, 06:40:44 PM
Has anyone provided proof that HashTech ordered Avalon chips?

No, we have not seen proof yet. As someone who placed an initial 1 BTC deposit prior to the deposit escrow, I have not yet been notified of a refund. I am still interested in the order, and would like to hold my place in line if possible, but have not yet received information on whether that will be possible or not yet either.

It does appear as though orders are currently disabled, as HashTech had suggested they would be. If you try to place an order for one now, you will not receive an email.

An update would be greatly appreciated.

Easy Miner seems to have a nice interface.

It's the charcoal color scheme. Makes everything look better.

For those of us that have already made a deposit, will we lose our place in the que?
Thanks!

Yes, I would also like to hold my place in queue if at all possible.
