61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: September 06, 2015, 03:40:59 AM
hi all

i was messing around and created some assets and i was wondering why i could name several assets the same name.
is there going to be a way in the future of hz so that people can't name assets the same thing it would stop some potential scams.
like if i created hzxchange no one else can, it would have to be hzxchange01 etc so people could tell by looking at it it isn't the original.
it could also give some value and trust to the real asset so to speak.
some kind of database in the blockchain maybe that could store this info?

anyway thats my idea what do you all think.

cheers

cant wait to see what you have come up with. have you done any testing with the blocknet tech yet.

keep up the great work.

Quick update as we have been pretty quiet with the BTC implosion from XT.
5.0 Testing progressing well.
A few key people returning from vacation at the end of the month, at which point we hope to unveil the 'secret project' that has been in the works for the past 6 months.

To talk about something else than node payouts, what does everyone think about updating this ANN here? I think a slick infographic that people can quickly get the main ideas might be better than what we have now, which I think is too spaced out, and a lot of information to read and absorb. Everyone wants information fast and well presented, and I think this is a fairly easy thing to get done. Thoughts?

Great idea nothing worse than searching for facts and helpful hints through lots of pages maybe even link some trouble shooting ideas.
Explain some of the assets available and the fees for transactions and forging how to add contacts set up your hz name etc
just all the simple things and more.

When does the exchange come online ?
The assets are already on the exchange. Have a play and see how it works.

ok i got some hzxchange assets now what do i do with them? i have tried to join the facebook group for more info
but no luck yet pending any help from anyone would be great.

hi all how are you going
new to hz
just a quick question about forging if i forge a block solo do i get the full amount that has been forged.
how long do they take to pay out, and why are there forged blocks with zero bytes and no coins.
i had a quick look around and could not find any info.

thanks for any answers advance

If you forge a block solo, then yes, you would get the full fee.
Some blocks don't have transactions, so there are no coins on it.

So what is the full fee as in transaction fee or total block worth im a bit confused
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: April 01, 2015, 10:17:51 AM
thanks for your reply
so whats going on when i generate a block. it says i done it, generated by my address.
but no payment to me. it has transactions on the block to other address' that are not mine.
but none to my address or does it have to mature or confirm or something.

thanks again

also it says i forged a block but the address it gets paid to is not mine and then from that address
it has paid out to others.

I'm having the same problem with another user, my wallet is stuck at block 100499 for more than a day....

Things I've tried:

- restarting wallet
- deleting folders onion, tor and all files except wallet.dat
- adding rescan=1 stake=0 in conf file

Any input please??
Hi, I'm still having the same problem and did exactly the same things you did.
Started already 3 times a new synch from zero and it always stops at 100499...
Help would be really great!

i moved the wallet.dat out of app data roaming stealthcoin then started it again and it went fine obviously moved wallet.dat back after sync was complete

other option is save wallet delete everything and sync from scratch then replace wallet

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NEW COINS on: April 12, 2014, 07:19:07 AM
Seems this forum is the biggest forum when it comes bitcoin and alt coins.
and every week there is a new dev launching a new coin which i think is slowly destroying the whole bitcoin landscape
all this get rich quick bullcrap coins should not be allowed to see the light of day
i think this forum and the mods or even a select few (maybe information sent out to members to review and see if the coin is worth it or brings something new to coins) should actually vote or review any new coin before letting it be put on here to weed out all the crap ones.
less advertisement for the crap coins would be a good thing
check serracoin for example it had absolutely nothing new going for it at all just less coins topcoin being another one could go on and on
what happened to innovative coins based on security and common sense quark is good xpm vertcoin etc the rest just copies.
so what im saying is we need to make it harder for people to get the word out about new coins that way i would hope that all these get rich quick copies will die out because it would be harder to get people interested and take more effort on the dev side maybe we might get good coins to spend and mine and not keep ending up with thousands of useless coins worth .0000000001 and nowhere to spend them.
any thoughts.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SERRACOIN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED (SRR) NOW ON bittrex.comĦĦĦ on: April 12, 2014, 06:51:39 AM
hello guys, im the dev of SerraCoin, I want to apologize because i didnt announce that we were shutingdown this coin. I asked to Bittrex to remove SerraCoin from their Page the same day we Shutted down, (it was 2 days after the launch), The main problem was (as you can imagine) with block 800 we needed to make a Fork, and we (our team) felt that it was too early to make a fork, and even that, we had a very awful launch.

We didnt scam you, SerraCoin didnt even have Value in Bittrex, it was up for only a few hours till the Pools reached Block 800.

My Apologize for this situation. SerraCoin is dead we are not developing or working anymore. it was just a bad launch with a bad code.

so in other words made enough money to take the rest of the year off while screwing people over. you like so many other idiots starting new coins are all full of crap you were so passionate at the start before it launched telling everyone that it will be a good coin where was that enthusiasm when it needed fixing i'm calling bullshit.
and may a thousand flees infest your pubic hair Kiss

cant they just fix it would like to hear from the devs either way. dont care if they continue or not or they just scammed everyone very well it only traded on bittrex. bittrex should freeze their account or something or release their details email address at least so people can at least say ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuu to them
