61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 28, 2021, 12:17:37 AM
So, had some time today (and drinks) and came up with this one:

In the previous bull run we went from $7,000 to $19,000 in the last 30 days before the blow off top.  That's 271% gain in 30 days.  I don't expect that type of gain even though I'm still bullish but, 100% from here seems probable.  Volume needs to pick up soon though as the past few weeks it has been pretty low despite our rebound.  The other factor I'm not sure about is the adoption of bitcoin by institution level folks.  I'm not sure if we still see the "blow off top" we have seen at the end of previous bull runs.

Side note, closed on a $3k green daily candle today.

Well well well boys, for some reason this dip just doesn't sting like the last times, maybe after you've been through enough loops the ole rollercoaster isn't as thrilling.

I had about 10 seconds of panic then I said to myself "What would "The Dude" do?" and I turned my phone off and went to hodl sleep.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2021, 01:40:54 PM
Guys this dip is very important for Bitcoin to cross $100k...reason Bitcoin’s dominance was constantly getting lower which was not letting Bitcoin go higher..... now all this money flowing out of crypto market is eventually coming back... + all newly created extra fiat...

And it will never be coming back to shitcoins..... but Bitcoin and that will take bitcoin $100k+.

That’s simple math & science.

I think it is naive to think that shitcoins are not here to stay.  The new wave of young investors will always be looking for that quick get rich idea. I compare much of the shitcoins to penny stocks... new one everyday and there are a lot of pump and dump schemes.

However, I do agree this correction will be good in near term for Bitcoin Dominance.

Honestly,  I'm really surprised that the exchanges haven't figured out how to manage this price action after all of these years.  Everything shutting down with this volume.

Good reminder to set buy orders when you can.  Also, for any newbies... don't try to sell as it's dipping and buy back cheaper.  You will almost always buy back higher...

Damn... wish I had more cash available to convert to BTC.  Don't buy all the cheap coins just yet guys.  Leave some for me.

Oh no! My bitcoin is now worth *checks chart* only double what it was in December.

Been busy the past 6 months.  Good to see nothing has changed here (didn't expect it to  Cheesy)

Also... can we start posting Christmas cards early? Seemed to help back in December  Cheesy

For anyone going through chart with random line withdrawal here you go...

Seem to be on track with not much surprise.

If we stay in the lower channels looks like mid-March we will approach the previous ATH.  However, I doubt honey badger will wait that long.  It looks hungry at the moment.

If wealth taxes start being egregious, it might be time to consider an exit. Lots of countries where your money will go a long way.

Agreed.  It's amazing how far your money (or Bitcoin) goes in some other beautiful places in other countries.

My exit strategy is planned, locked, and loaded.

Side note: woot.com today has a sale on bidets. If you want something that will really change your life, grab one and install it....

Love me a good bum gun.  Always feel fresher afterwards than before you came in to do your business.

Bitcoin down $1,000.  Is it dead now?  Cheesy

While cars is on the subject. The thing is, it just doesn't interest me... None of those material things does, such as jewellery, watches etc. I have no desire to show off. It will only attract undesired attention to me. I think I will just stick with my 8 years old Volkswagen for now.

For me it is more of a passion.  Nothing like the sound of blasting through gears in a nice turbo car.  I don't care if people are looking at me, it's more about me and having my "me time".

I don't think this changes my proven analysis one bit. The complicated math doesn't lie, and I'm as certain as ever bitcoin will be worth much, much, much less before the end of the year once this fever breaks.

I love your analysis. In fact I sold 8000 usd worth of btc as soon as I saw your post.

Instructions unclear, I bought more bitcoin instead.

Wow... I'm totally happy that my projection of 2/14 ATH was shattered.

Didn't expect to wake up and see the fucking Musk bought up $1.5 billion worth of BTC.

I was just talking about this to a close friend a few days ago.  This is fucking gentlemen.

This aligns with the main channel movement

I think there's another dimension people should think about when investing: Time. But not in the compounding sense.

Every day that goes by you get a day older and the black train of death gets one day closer to you. So when thinking about hanging on till later when your stash will be "worth more" remember that when that more day comes you will be older and would have lost forever the time you could have spent enjoying something or someone while deferring the experience.

For example: I bought a used Porsche 3 years ago with 2btc. $6,000. I could have saved the bitcoins and had $80,000 now but I would not have had those three years of fun and smiles and enjoying driving the car. That to me is worth a lot, especially given that I am 3 years closer to being dead, and that time can't be bought for any price (yes, life extension at the end is possible, but I think the value of years 30-33 is a lot higher than 90-93. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see).

So if you're going to sell coins, do it for things that will bring good experiences to your lives, good people to your lives, or good memories to your lives. That way if the price moons you will still have enjoyed those experiences/peoples/memories and feel pretty good about the whole thing.

I'm just glad I only bought an ounce of gold with bitcoins @800. That was stupid. However the 18k watch chain for 1btc has given me a lot of use and pleasure so that's not quite as big of a flub (and an eternal friend with the antique shop owner :-)

Love this perspective.  This is what separates the people laying on their death bed with happy supporting friends and family around them and no personal regrets vs the dying grouchy old fucks trying to figure out how to hold on to every last penny they have or gain more before they die.

Got drunk and put some more random lines on the random lined chart.

Posting my projection in the event that I hit a .0005% chance of being correct so I can pretend I knew everything all along.

Breakout above ATH on February 14th with a price target of $48,500.

I think I'm going to start making projections when I'm drunk more often...

It's nice to see us creep back up to these price ranges at relatively low trading volume.  Currently 21k BTC per Coinbase over the last 24 hours.

High trading volumes have been upwards of 60k-100kBTC over 24 hours.

The leg up will be amazing when that trading volume resumes.

Don't get me wrong I'm happy to be wrong. Just a frustrating market for hodling with constant dumps on every rise and  other coins mooning everywhere.

Good morning fellow WOs.  Chart with random lines and shit TA incoming...

Bitcoin was unable to maintain the main channel but, I attribute this to the Musk mini pump effect. The price has been bouncing around the 2 lower trend limits at a steady pace.

I'm thinking that we may continue to bounce back and forth between these two lower limits with a steady increase back to the last ATH.  Potentially, a bit less volatility in the coming days and more steady growth back towards the last ATH.

My guess is when we break the last ATH we will see a spike that will push us back into the main channel for an extended period of time.  If we continue on the above mentioned pattern, we should see a breakout to the main channel and breaking of the previous ATH on February 14th.

***EDIT price target for 2/14 is $48,500
