You need to read between the lines, the wording is carefully chosen.
Look at the underlined part, as they only said Q1/Q2 delivery they won't be late until July 1st.
I have to contradict here in terms of Batch 1 (CA Batch) & Batch 2 - Batch 1 ToS state: Q1/Q2 but delivery 3-4 weeks before batch 2 which equals delay = 1st July -3/4 weeks Batch 2 ToS state: Delivery one month before batch 3 which equals delay= 1st July - roughly 2 month (for batch 1) Batch 3 ToS state: Delivery Q 2 Not much space for interpretation here. Batch 1 hashing has to start latest around early May to satisfy the ToS of all batches 1-3. There isn't 3 batches, there are 2, you are getting confused as the initial release had a different price tag (for previous customers) Customer appreciation batch clearly specified: a "limited quantity of 1200 units" and earlier delivery of 3-4 weeks from any of the following Neptune sales. Are you sure that it stated "earlier delivery of 3-4 weeks from any of the following Neptune sales."? I was under the impression that the initial 1200 would be shipped, followed shortly by the first of the $12,000 ones, and then a month after that "batch 1" has shipped, the $10,000 batch 2 would begin to ship. Yep - they sold us (me) CA with the words: These units will be delivered 3-4 weeks before any machine will be delivered to the general puplic. As a gift for funding their company from day zero. But you also let me doubt that point now  Darn, maybe I got tricked. |

Interestingly... in all other competitor threads "KnC Plan B" is considered as a step towards customer appreciation... in the KnC thread itself people tear it apart... how I love this ambiguity  |

Yeah.. I'm not a KnC customer - BFL (ugh) and HF (ugh) - but when I saw this, my first reaction (and it remains my reaction) is that the consumer-miner is out of business once the present generation of machines is no longer viable - those are already delivered or whose delivery is obliged by contract.
We're walking dead. Zombies. Mining will now be done by chip companies, probably allied with capital for datacenter fab and operation. You might buy shares, but shares that will only ROI with steep BTC appreciation. It's over. And I barely even started!

Still think they have the ambition, skills and finance to satisfy every batch with their approach (even the last one which I consider a quite bad investment...) - I am not interested how they do this - but feel confident about their ability to do so

Yay - it means on 30.06.2014 they route hashing power of all 4000 Neptunes to their paid customers Which they no doubt now see as a drop in the ocean of what hashing power they will have online by then... ... my interpretation of all this is not entirely negative. I still think they have good intentions. Quick shot on most possible scenario: - Neptunes late (they already know that right now) - Compensation starting with free 3Th starting April/ May/ June for batch 1/2/3 - Finally delivered Neptunes have to compete with additional 10Ph from their farm... which sucks bigtime To be honest, 3TH for free for batch 1 customers in April sounds very attractive to me. Hick-Hack on Jupiter Sales/ Moduls on the other side sucks for the guys who planned to buy some.... Don't think April. They said Q1/Q2. End of Q2 is june. You'll get your hash at 1st of july.... I call this bad news.
So they are building a massive mining farm for themselves (probably already partly built) and if they are late they give us coins.
Sounds good until you think what late really means - until the end of 2nd quarter of this year, so end of June.
They have not defined precise meaning of the word late, so what they say means absolutely nothing.

Pro - No delay (in case they are able to build the datacenter this time... first time they failed)

I don't think there were as many orders with cointerra as some of the other manufacturers. They've only sold about 4000 units so far and a lot probably went to the same people. Hey, may I ask you from where you got that information -> 4000 units? Any source? |

Anyone have any idea whether KNC is going to offer anything for sale in the interim?
Before I invest in another platform for immediate delivery I'd like some kind of idea if anything is possible on the KNC side.
Its almost the 10th of January and time is a wastin'
