Also waiting, maybe Lily got a long weekend...

Awesome, Good to know.
I ordered 2 Avalon's on Wednesday morning and they already shipped out! That was very quick, Canaan is awesome!
Man....I ordered 2 on Monday....I said I would pay by BTC....and still haven't heard back... Ditto..I contacted them yesterday and got this response from Jasmine.. He is working on BTC payment. And will send to you the address and amount asap. Lily has so many responsibilities, he's so hard working guy. jasmine I've been waiting since Monday for this Lily to get back to me for btc payment instructions. It's starting to look like I'll be waiting until next week just to make the payment (hopefully), which is mildly disappointing...

Will a 2oz copper pcb be enough for a PSU breakout (~1200-1500W)? The two things making this difficult for me to calculate: I'm not sure what an acceptable temp rise would be, and I'm using copper polygon pours (rather than traces) for 12v and GND. Anyone with knowledge able to provide some feedback? Thanks in advance

It doesn't look like I've received payment for block# 443121. Is it just me?

Can anyone with a unit comment on their noise level?
|
|
|
Is it possible to access the controllers on these units via serial connection? If so, you could grab a cheap UART to USB adapter from somewhere like SparkFun and see if you're able to open a terminal connection.

I'm confused. What is with this "The shop is new" talk? Does this have something to do with Canaan's acquisition a few months ago? The company has been on and off the asic production scene for a long time; Avalon 6's were not difficult to get a hold of. So what's going on?

For those of you who host your miners, what's the consensus on Cryptoboreas in Labrador? Any issues with them connecting to Kano? Wanna make sure everything is legit and kosher before I send out my miners.
I've had four machines hosted at Cryptoboreas since early March and it's been a positive experience. I was initially skeptical about having machines collocated at a facility that I didn't have VPN access to, but since their power cost is so low and Alan has overwhelmingly positive feedback I bit the bullet. If, for whatever reason, Bitmain decides to drop their prices or Avalon can produce a reasonable alternative asic, I'll be sending new machines up there.

|
|
Here's my feedback/experience/endorsement for CryptoBoreas: I've had several S7's running at their data center for just over three months now; the price per kw/H, miner up-time, and allinvain's service has been outstanding. If I decide to purchase more miners in the future I will definitely be contacting him regarding hosting.

Innosilicon has never sold directly to customers wanting small quantities (iirc a minimum of 10 units for A2 machines). Moreover, their asics have never been cheap in price or quality, so they are likely trying to get as much as possible (perhaps so much that they rather not publicly post a price at this point, or the price varies depending on the offer + amount). Right now ~80% of the ltc network is mined by Chinese pools, so if you are outside of China with a stack of these machines you will still be at a disadvantage.

So it's been a while without any updates. Do you actually have an eta on these next gen miners?

I know of a few ways they can do it.
so to everyone here that is renting from NH / WH consider that
f2pool can send dead hashers to WH/NH with ease
Can you explain what you mean by "send[ing] dead hashers?" When you pay for miners at *Hash - you have no idea what the miners are and what they are doing. *Hash don't care either coz they get paid BEFORE you mine and they wont lose anything. The people who own the miners will get paid no matter what also. Thus someone could provide "bad hash power" on *Hash and no one would know unless they mined a VERY large amount and kept track of the statistics ... ... ... But my question is more along the lines of what exactly is "bad hash power" or "dead hashing?" I realize that service drops, latency, *Hash's algo switching interruptions, etc could result in stale shares, but apart from that I'm not clear on how a person could dispatch miners that are "dead/bad."

What does that added node do?
Is it necessary? Does it gain anything to run for the pool?
I run a node in NEW JERESY. would it help pool to configure it in a special way. I'm curious as well. All I know is I run three Mac minis and 3 pcs windows 7 So the Mac mini runs the node . It is really easy to run costs close to zero power. I do not mind doing any thing on that Mac mini as it is not used much. The other two macs are used a lot as are the three pcs. Oh I forgot about the forth pc it runs Linux What we really need is a couple of nodes running behind the GFW...I wonder if Lee would run some for us? I don't think running nodes in China would do anything since blocks are propagated using tcp. So unless I'm mistaken, the inbound packets to the Chinese node would still be subject to filtering/inspection (and whatever else they do with traffic).

If this is still available can you post the Batch #? Thanks mate

I was asked the same questions by Coinbase (iirc, something about my source of income; if I primarily use Coinbase to buy or sell bitcoin; maybe something vague about my occupation). It seemed more like a survey than an audit so I wasn't alarmed. My guess is that it may have something to do with tax season as these questionnaires have been going around for the past month, or perhaps that's just coincidence.

but those numbers really say that it's most likely that either the GFW screwed us over or antpoo did.
I'm curious how the GFW would work in favor of antpoo, or by the same token, prevent our blocks from propagating faster (than antpoo's) across the network. Pardon my naivety on this. I would have expected their blocks to be relayed slower and thus lose the race.

I just want to add my positive feedback for sidehack’s hosting. I’ve had three of my S7’s hosted with him and miner uptime has been 100%. Vpn access is also great. I would highly recommend him for hosting

Bump. I'm curious what's happened with this case. Are there any updates?

Can someone with Bitmain RMA experience or familiarity tell me the best way to get in touch with Bitmain. I need to RMA a defective board from Batch 9 and I've had a support ticket open for a few days now w/o response. I realize this isn't a support thread, but I see that several people here have been through the process of returning boards. There is an email for xiaorui.liu@bitmain.com on their workOrderGuide web page, but I don't know if that's for initiating a return. Thanks
