61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is it smart to keep all or almost all savings in prime cryptos like BTC, ETH? on: November 14, 2017, 10:09:32 PM
Hi,

Anyone is doing this? Basically if I am not wrong BTC, ETH and maybe a few others seem pretty safe. Money in the bank gets nothing in return.

Is there any drawback/risks from keeping one's savings in these top cryptos for the long term? I don't see how they could all crash rather than bring you significant returns, compared to keeping the money in the bank, watching it stay the same year after year?

Maybe these cryptos go down a lot, but in the long term they are always going up.

Is this a smart thing to do?

Thanks in advance.
62  Economy / Exchanges / How to transfer bitcoins from coinsquare? on: November 14, 2017, 10:05:00 AM
Hi,

Anyone using coinsquare? I want to transfer some BTC to bittrex but I didn't see an option on coinsquare anywhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

thx i understand better. i use coinsquare and of course to buy BTC I used cad which is easier to specify than BTC to other currencies.

Thanks a lot it did help. Isn't it better to use conditional so I can get it when the price is lower?

Also this system seems not very flexible, i.e. if I get 1000 NEO for 1 BTC when BTC is 7k today, tomorrow 10k, I don't want to pay 10k for the same 1000 NEO when I put the order. With USD/CAD, this is easy to control. But with BTC it seems like I always have to update my orders to make sure I don't overpay?

Hi,

I have this UI:

I read online that if I am not wrong Units specifies how many NEO I want. Price is how many BTC I want to pay for 1 NEO.

Total is total amount of BTC this transaction will cost. I just don't see why when I fill in the first 2 fields the Total doesn't calculate automatically? So my understanding must be wrong?

Also how does Buy When option works?

Can you please show me how to get 1000 NEO for 0.001 BTC each for a total of 1 BTC?

Thanks in advance.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where to buy alt coins? Which exchanges do you use? on: November 13, 2017, 01:00:49 PM
Hi,

I use coinsquare but they have very few coins that are the most popular. But all these other alt coins posted here, where can I invest in them? It would be nice if I could do it using one website than registering, verifying and then funding a dozen sites for each coin. Particularly if that single website had quick ways to fund when you needed to buy some coins very quickly, i.e. credit card.

Thanks in advance.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is AMIS coin any good? on: November 13, 2017, 12:48:45 PM
thanks you mean big players? I can't imagine losing if one bought super cheap, i.e. less than a dollar but now $300 it's too risky I think. I am not expert in trading. that's why I wanted to ask here.

Hi,

I see that in the last 2 weeks it was around a value like 0.0007 to 222k or something. Any idea if this is a good coin to get? Though I imagine at that low price no one would sell it so buying is impossible, and even if you bought them, there is no way to sell at 222k because the volume is very small?

Can't someone just sell it for half the price, basically offering 2x value for potential buyers?

Thanks in advance.
