I am a strong believer in ETH -- and am waiting for the new coin that will over take BTC to come out some day -- and when it does - oh BABY it will be the BIG ONE

I generally use my google alerts for news - it brings up a good mix from all over the place with key words being

*cryptocurrency
*Bitcoin
*Ethereum
*Smart Contract

Its where i keep informed

I haven't read through this entire thread - but I think alternative blockchains are fantastic - they allow for decentralization and open up opportunities for everyone to get involved.  IMO alternative blockchains are the future.

It's not limited to just cannabis -- while  that is a HUGE aspect of it - POS system and perkscoins can be used in all industries.  their partner PUNDIx is set to be in over 200,000 locations (likely more) by 2020 --

and that will just make perkscoin that much more of a good ico to invest it. imo

Oh this is a tough question -- I think ALT coins are better than BTC - because BTC is so expensive right now and all the people who hold it and a lot of it are people who started when it was worth nothing.

So I know there there are some wild ideas out there - and some pretty far fetching (but not impossible) things that the blockchain can do - and help with how the world works and progresses.

this is a bubble -- all good things come to an end at some point -- look at everything - its all bursts.  Trust me.  Something new will come out and BTC will be left in the dust - its old technology that cannot keep up with demand in the market - nor with how fast things are changing in the market -

I think that projection is a little high - it will increase but not sure if it will increase that much that quickly.

Ohh -- what caused it to drop so drastically?

What are some warning signs before it is too late? 

ETH is THE coin -- look at all the things you can do with it -- the value will only increase tenfold --

Plus - governments are looking to implement the smartcontract technology into everyday life for everyone - i think that is a clear indication that things are looking up and moving forward.

ETH doesn't seem as volatile as BTC and seems to be giving more solutions to problems that different industries are facing.

Cannabis is such an industry that has major obstacles that seemingly only blockchain technology can solve -- check out CannaSOS for some innovative and real life solutions using blockchain technology.

Its also good to join the telegram chats or slack channels - you can get a real sense of the project through that.

Marketing is key but also its important that they are not dumping all of their money into marketing and that there is a good project at hand as well.
