I used your version hp5. I'm running Windows 8 R2 Standard 64 bit. The processor is: Intel Xeon CPU E5-2420 @1.90 ghz My settings are: maxconnections=256 genproclimit=-1 sievesize=4000000 gen=1 My server processor shows 12 cores running and my desktop shows only 8 cores. but it's still slower than the desktop by almost half. Also my server processor cost 4x more than the the desktop processor...
Well, your server shouldn't be lagging behind by that much. Which operating system is the server running? Which version of the client are you using? Did you compile it yourself?

Desktop and server processors are identical. Server Xeons are just rebranded versions of the current era of desktop processors.
Your xeon is probably based on an architecture before the i7.

Hi,
I have a server running a Xeon that Xeon CPU E5-2420 and it only gets 3500 "primespersec"
I also have a I7 3770K processor and that gets over 6500 "primespersec"
Does desktop processors get better performance than server processors when mining XPM?
Is "primespersec" the accurate way to measure performance in mining?

Reserverd!! CloudCoin - CDC Cloudcoin is a new alternate exchange currency with proof-of-stake scheme. Cloudcoin was created to be the median of all coins in the crypto exchange world. It is simple, easy and energy efficient. It is meant to be a costumer and exchange friendly coin with the benefits of it’s optimized specifications. The proof-of-stake scheme makes the coin and the transactions safe, secure and long living. Stake also helps the coin to achieve a leading role in the future of the crypto currency coins, since it is using proof-of-stake not proof-of-work like other coins. You can read more about the benefits of proof-of-stake here: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/9082/what-is-proof-of-stakeOur dev team is working on the final touches of the coin which will be released within weeks. They are also working on the official website which will be released with the coin and will give a simple user friendly interface for the miners, customers and supporters. The team is also working on the development of additional sites that will support cloudcoin. We would like to aim the business and consumer sector with this coin. Our marketing team is getting in touch with exchange sites and merchants too. Features: Block Target is 20 sec Block reward halved every 800k blocks 100 million total coins 80 coins per block High starting difficulty to avoid instamine Proof of stake scheme 3 Conformations - optimized 1 minute transaction time Thank you for reading our prerelease announcement. I know that we have a long way to go, but we will work hard on this project. I am going to inform everybody about the specific release date. We will make sure to have a fair start. Stay tuned. Look under settings of the client. But I suggest installing the official Sunny client instead, until this version is updated. If that doesn't work.. you can always add it to your windows startup and have it done that way. Also edit your primecoin.conf file to have get=1 Does anyone know what to launch the wallet with so it automaticly starts mining? In windows.
I have my mining rigs set to reboot every 6 hours and want to set the primecoin wallet to auto start.

The speed looks higher but I've been running this version for over 12 hours on 6 computers I7 3770K machines and I have gotten no blocks! I was better off with the official 1.1 release. Atleast I was able to get 10 blocks in about 8 hours. I think there's a bug somewhere in this code. Speed is 4x faster than the official release but it didn't translate to any blocks.

FUCk this difficulty!! not producing coins..

This build is not producing any blocks for me!! Was doing much better with the unofficial builds. Sunny cheating us with fake build speed reports???

Now that we know when they would have been shipped roughly, the appropriate price for a batch-3 four-unit should've been roughly 40-45 bitcoin, not 99 (for a 30-day to ROI). Which would've been ~$3200 back when these sold with the price of btc at ~$80. I bet if that had been the price, few would be asking for a refund right now. Alternately, if Bitsyncom had offered 59 btc refunds back to that price level that would've been perhaps better than giving full refunds. But again, I laud Bitsyncom for doing the honorable thing and offering full refunds in BTC. Once again they make BFL look bad by comparison, and I'd be happy to shake Guo's hand any day. Whereas, I doubt Inaba can show his face anywhere bitcoin-related without watching his back So we can get full refund? I'm getting tired of waiting too! I think I'll take the refund.

More people have LTC than BTC. It's quite odd... Why are all the XPM exchanges trading LTC? Why not BTC?
|
|
|
Sell 100 XPM at 3 XPM per LTC

Thanks! This helped out. I disabled one of my 8 cores and cgminer is running at full speed! If I have and I7 3770K and also a GPU 7970. Could I run the Primecoin miner and also cgminer? One mining primecoin and cgminer mining another Alt Coin?
Yes, though one may throttle the other. My general rule on my rigs is to mine with your CPU cores - 1. If you have 4 cores, mine with 3. It'll keep your cgminer chugging along at full (or near full) speed and you'll still be able to mine with the CPU.

I'd like to try the free amazon instance, anyone got a tutorial for that?

Do you ignore the Security Alarm when they tell you to get the fuck out of your house, there's a burgular. Who the fuck is Sunny Delight anywayz?? Could be a scammer just like the rest!! Don't install on computer with wallets.dat in it!! Just letting the world know.. this client does not work and it may be stealing wallet.dat files!
If you're dim enough to run new wallets on a computer that has wallets you care about, then caveat emptor. From Sunny King? I'm pretty sure he's not gonna spread a trojan. Just shut the beep up already ...it`s my f business if I want to try it ! use the ignore button, his will light up like a flash

I trust my mother but I scan any files she gives me! Double scan it!! You know Sunny Delight better than your Momma?? Just letting the world know.. this client does not work and it may be stealing wallet.dat files!

I don't think he would either. Then again--if you're going to run brand new anything on a pc with all your BTCz, you might think twice about it
