61  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: December 20, 2017, 06:07:23 AM
you have to ways to start getting your bitcoins:
first you can buy some from any secured and trusted area, this is the easiest and faster way to get bitcoins now, and this is the way i prefer although it is very expensive nowadays.
the second way is the long term way , it is mining and this will cost you some special setups and devices that you should buy, but this will take some money of you.
good luck.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: December 19, 2017, 08:15:04 AM
i agree with  you about ETH , but i prefer to give it another chance, i think that it will not die this easy, and i suppose that in the next few weeks in the beginning of the year it will come back again to gain some of its real value,  especially when you see it going up these moments ,so i will keep supporting at least for the 4 following months, then i will wait and see what will happen
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / The Hottest Cryptocurrency In China Is Not Bitcoin on: December 17, 2017, 04:52:55 AM
China’s cryptocurrency enthusiasts have been left out of bitcoin’s historic rally in recent months, thanks to the Chinese government banning initial coin offerings in September and then shutting down all major domestic exchanges. But it didn’t take long for them to find something new to pour their money into.

That turned out to be OneCoin, designed by Chinese tech company Xunlei. Since its launch in mid-October, OneCoin’s value has jumped dramatically in secondary markets—at one point more than 80-fold, according to numerous reports (link in Chinese). That’s despite OneCoin not being available for trade in any major marketplace. Its crazy ride has helped Xunlei become the best-performing stock on Nasdaq for most of the past two months.Xunlei’s share price plunged in recent days after OneCoin drew public scrutiny. That came after a disenchanted business partner accused OneCoin of being an initial coin offering—a hard-to-regulate way to raise funds based on an offering of cryptocurrency rather than shares.

Xunlei founded in 2003 as a torrent downloader. Later transformed into a video streaming platform. In August 2014 the company announced that it would become a [Suspicious link removed]pany. It also released a blockchain-based hardware product called OneCloud.In essence, OneCloud is a network-attached storage device that lets multiple users share online storage remotely. On top of that, it’s a “mining machine” that allows users to share their idle bandwidth with Xunlei’s content delivery networks—and earn some OneCoin as a reward.
According to a report from the beijing news, by the end of last month OneCoin traded at around 8 yuan ($1.21) in numerous chat groups on QQ, a popular social network. That means it had increased in value more than 80-fold in 40 days since its launch.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Problems With Exchanges on: December 16, 2017, 05:41:15 PM
Outside of Cryptopia, I am virtually locked out of most others. Gatehub, GDAX, Bitstamp, BINANCE and coinbase. All of which but GDAX has a pending verification.

I have majority of my portfolio invested into LTC, but don't want to pull out from what I have (want to buy more to transfer and trade). GDAX keeps telling me to try again in 30 minutes. I can buy off of Coinbase using a bank acct which takes about 8 days to clear. I want to be able to buy BTC or LTC with my debit/credit card for an instant purchase so I can continue trading. Anyone else having these issues? Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm a NY state resident if that helps.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How To Avoid High Fees On Cryptopia on: December 15, 2017, 12:41:17 PM
1. Is it still working?
up till 2017 Dec 04, yes, perfectly. Cryptopia BTC withdraw fee is 0.002BTC (23USD!!!) and Poloniex remained at 0.0001 (1.15USD);
Meanwhile Cryptopia LTC withdraw fee is 0.02LTC (2 USD) and if you use BCH, it's 0.0008BCH (1.26USD)

2. Why LTC? Let's answer like this:
Why not ETH? Because Poloniex has a minimum deposit requirement of 0.5 ETH (230USD);
Why not BCH? Because of the block time - in my experience LTC is more stable and quicker than BCH at this moment. Moreover, I'm not a big fan of Roger Ver.
Why not other alts? Because of liquidity and spread.

3. But LTC price on Cryptopia is worse than Poloniex?
It depends on days. But generally LTC price is on a upward trend and is more stable than BCH and other alts, so the risk is manageable if you give it some patience (and if this 20USD saving is important for you).

(original post) Due to personal reasons, I decide to sell 100 onion for BTC. And I checked cryptopia.co.nz BTC withdraw fee, it's a horrible 0.001BTC

So what I did:
- Exchange onion for BTC on cryptopia;
- exchange BTC to LTC on cryptopia;
- withdraw LTC to Poloniex; (fee is 0.002LTC)
- exchange LTC to BTC;
- withdraw BTC from Poloniex (fee 0.0001BTC);

And LTC-BTC exchange rate on cryptopia is often slightly lower than Poloniex (so you buy LTC cheaper and sell on Poloniex for higher), so you gain a small delta by doing this, effectively covering all fees.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can we accurately predict what would be Bitcoin’s price in 2020? on: December 14, 2017, 04:25:03 PM
Bitcoin has turned out to be perhaps the hottest investment commodity of all time. Once upon a time you could pickup bitcoins for less than a penny. Now? A single coin costs hundreds of dollars ($410 at the time of writing this). Still, some people are worried that bitcoin has peaked and that investing now would be like investing in fool’s gold. I have to disagree. Digging deeper shows that bitcoin is just starting to pickup steam, and several underlying factors suggest that the cryptocurrency will only continue to gain value in the future.cam i right? what do you think?

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Good news for litecoiners... on: December 11, 2017, 09:22:47 AM
Good news! A few days ago, litecoin was only less than $100. Well, to be exact, it was kinda dancing between under $100 and just a little over that. And then now, it's already establishing a positive trajectory. The demand for litecoin is going up. There are already a lot of sites offering cloud mining for litecoin. The surge of the number of faucets for litecoin is already contributing to the price increase. The gains from those mining sites and faucets are being exchanged for bitcoin since its trajectory is more fabulous and beautiful. That's the most expedient thing to do. That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm mining litecoin and then I'm converting it to bitcoin. I find it difficult to mine bitcoin these days. The enormous increase in the volume of transactions has made it extremely challenging to resolve hashes. Litecoin mining is many miles away from bitcoin mining.

i think not , at least in this month, as we see btc is going crazy everyday, and there are no alt coin can beat it these days,
but all expectations are talking about close correction in the next few days, so all we can do is to wait and see what's going happen.
