61  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Digital Currency Exchange of Texas Launches a public Beta on: April 25, 2015, 10:50:14 PM
what about fees and deposit speed? how many confirmations this exchange need?

i'm  asking because in the example it says 0.02 btc for commissions, it seems ridiculously high even for an example...

also you will add coin like monero in the future?

You are absolutely correct that a 2% fee is too high.  We have had discussions about that since the example report was created.  I will make sure an updated example report to replace the one created in February using actual transactions from our QA transactions.  We have moved away from fees in our transaction structure.   In a two party trade like the one we are executing, fees to not make sense.  We offer a competitive rate, not a competitive rate plus a fee.

We do plan on adding Monero in the next few months.  I do not have an estimated date.  Any coin that has multiple aquisition sources is a candidate to be added to our service.  After all, if there is only one source for a coin, going directly to that source is always going to be the most cost effective.

Confirmations are currently set at three.  This is subject to change globally, by coin or by user.  Since these are not anonymous transactions, as you become a known user, the confirmations may be lowered for 'trusted users'.  That is another subject that has been discussed, but not implemented.

If anyone has preferences, please let us know.  Also, let us know if you have any projects that we can help you with. Growing the environment helps us all.
