hey,
have you got second WATERSCOURTCD for last beta season?

I don't have any WATERSCOURTCD but I did participate in season 7
so weak :/
so we won't get any althoug it was promised?

Sorry to hear you didn't get a card. The details to be eligible for one where posted on here and on the blog.

http://spellsofgenesis.tumblr.com/post/150730551055/spells-of-genesis-new-features-next-rewards

Definitely not weak. SOG has been managed very well. As an initial backer, I'm happy with or without WATERSCOURTCD. I just don't understand why I missed it.

From the link above:
Quote
WATERSCOURT Card for You!
To thank you for having played and tested between the end of season 6 until now, we will give 1 WATERSCOURT card to each registered player, who have successfully finished at least one level and have linked their Counterparty wallet to their SoG account. If you have not linked your wallet to your game account yet, you have until September 25th, midnight CEST to do so. Then we will distribute the rewards.

I received a few BITCRYSTALS for participating in Season 7. This seems to indicate that everything was set up proper. I played several "levels" and opened up every area on the map. My account was linked when linking first came available. I don't understand what "double linking" @sutefyzz was referring to. On my profile page I have linked my counterparty address. I don't follow needing to "Link your bcy address from SoG in Your counterparty wallet". There is no mention of this in the link above.

After I played a little bit with Qora API, I consider to create a small app which stores arbitrary data on the blockchain by encode the data to byte64. What I ask myself, how do you want to prevent illegal files (for example images) stored in the block chain? Or a further example that came to my mind, a terror organization starts to use the blog system to announce information there?

I have thought that about a while. We could have a separate black list curated by people which if downloaded to your wallet would get rid of and block all those objectionable things. There could be a separate website out there with blacklists curated by different groups (who crowdsource it to their members), so you can just download the most reputable one from time to time and update your software. That way you would avoid all the bad stuff. Also, I think there should be a way so that those groups that curate lists get paid in some way that is built in into the software.

I think crowetic (et al) have it in the road map to use whitelisting for qora as it exists now. Qora 2.0 will use encryption on the blockchain. I don't think the final decision has been made, but whitelisting is easier than blacklisting.

Interestings points!

Could you explain how whitelising should work on the blockchain from the technical side?

Nope. But from a non-technical side I would assume that if you hold a specific private key you can put different information types on the chain whereas if you don't have one of the whitelist addresses then you can only publish information related to transactions of the asset(s).

Hi Guys, sorry for the late response, we just got back from the Blockchain meetup in Paris.
The airdrop is scheduled in one hour, this Wednesday November the 30th, at 3PM GMT.
Was it happen? I received nothing  Huh

Lol, You aren't missing much. The ratio is 1 PROTONEXIUM for every 200 BCY you have. I had 1800 BCY and got 9 PROTONEXIUM. The give away was only 500,000 PROTONEXIUM total. Can't complain. Something is better than nothing.

I'll give a bounty of 70k if I get an IDE running with Qora cloned from git.

Not sure to understand what you mean there eshriek. Do you mind explaining a little?

Qora is developed using an IDE like Netbeans or Eclipse. I've found introductory Java programming relatively easy to learn. Setting up the Java environment is always difficult. I've tried with Eclipse 1.8 (I think) but no joy. I also tried with Netbeans. IDE = integrated development environment. It is not just setting the environment up, it is also integrating it with the git repository.

I gave up trying maybe a month ago.

would be good to see active development and regular video updates about Quoth.

Video demos anyone? Qora can get a lot more popular than this. I think it could reach thousands of users with some promotion. We need someone who is dedicated to making videos, running a dedicated Qora forum and answering questions full time.

Agree. A well made video promotion for Qora's killer feature would definitely gain traction if posted on YouTube and other social media platforms in order to increase awareness and popularity. All we need is a good video designer that would help us reach this goal, and of course some donations to make this a reality. If there is any donations needed for this whenever it is Qora or BTC, then count me in. I'll be glad to help spread awareness of Qora.  Cheesy

There's sure a lot of potential value from decentralized hosting, polling and now the decentralized slack-clone Quoth. Imagine Quoth making news on something like CoinDesk?

Slack is a multi billion dollar company, but it doesn't offer decentralization like Quoth does. In April 2016 , Slack was valued at $2.8 billion.

Quote
Slack just confirmed that it's raised $200 million at a $3.8 billion valuation, confirming what Business Insider had previously reported.

The new round was led by Thrive Capital with participation by GGV, Comcast Ventures, and Slack's existing investors, including Accel and Social Capital.

The company has raised $540 million in total so far. Its last round of funding came exactly a year ago, when it raised $160 million at a $2.8 billion valuation.

Slack, launched a little over two years ago, is a popular communication and chat program for businesses. It allows people to send messages and create private group channels at work.

It makes money by charging monthly or annually subscriptions. It now has 2.7 million daily active users, of which 800,000 of them are paid users. In February, it said it's on pace to generate $64 million in revenue by the end of the year.

http://www.businessinsider.in/Slack-just-raised-another-200-million-round-and-its-now-worth-3-8-billion/articleshow/51652373.cms

Qora surely lacks appropriate marketing and without that, we just can't expect it to gain users. Without appropriate marketing, how would people discover the usability of Qora?

"Slack is a multi billion dollar company, but it doesn't offer decentralization like Quoth does. In April 2016 , Slack was valued at $2.8 billion."

I quite agree with you! the potential of Qora is really huge, we are speaking about billions here!
Time will tell, but I am very satisfied with this sleeping giant

What Quoth needs is users before more features. Even adding new channels will be counterproductive at this point. The original 3 channels need to be busy!

Any one knows where I could get a hold on some Qora meanwhile Poloniex finally makes their wallet available again?

Good question! I'm interested also for an answer....

You can still buy on polo. Or, you could post your terms here. How much do you want to buy? what is the price you are willing to pay? are you wanting someone to do escrow? Are you willing to go first? Etc.

I already bought ~69k on polo but I want some in my wallet still. I can wait for the wallet to go available again, but I would also like to get some in the meantime, as no one seems to be able to know how long it will take for polo to enable their wallet again.

I'll give a bounty of 70k if I get an IDE running with Qora cloned from git. Last time I used Java was when J2ME was new. Even if I do not get it running, if Crowetic says the tutorial should work I'll send the bounty to whoever he says. If he doesn't say someone but does point me to a reasonable tutorial then 70k can go to shbour. Escrow is okay too. I might need a week or so to confirm that the tutorial works seeing as programming and crypto is just a hobby.

Oh yes that could be it. Glad you got it working. What do you think? Enjoying the update?

Yeah its good, liking the new levels. Maybe in a future update you should let people buy stamina with BCY though.

That's one for the team, if you are on Slack you can suggest that.
The reason for the stamina is, like in other similar games, that otherwise players could get bored easily if they are allowed play the game continuously.
This way you play a little then have a break then play a bit more. I don't think the time to recharge the stamina is written in stone either so it may change depending on feedback.

Maybe that is what MAGICFLDC will be used for?

Do nexium purchased through the bot count towards tier rewards?

BTW, Plenty of ProtoNexium now that the bot has been restocked:

It seems there is little interest in this project, I will like to know the minimum capital required for this ICO to be counted successful.

Minimum was 10 million nexium tokens (110000.00 Euros)
They hit that mark in the first few hours.
The ICO raised double the minimum in under 12 hours so far.

I sent 1 ether about 1.5 hours ago. The ICO page says 675 but I only got 650 tokens: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x4278522e78c09c7685c5c620cd9cce08711bfd8ab3c980ecaba0cc4e018ee2d4

Is there a simple wallet for lbry? I see coinbin forked in the lbry repository. Not sure if that can be used for lbry tokens.

Trying to install  0.6.3 gives me errors:

3 Questions

1. Does anyone know if there will be a beta season 8?
2. What is the schedule for announcing new cards?
3. What version of android will be required for the final app?

thanks

Anyone know of any more details related to MAGICFLDC? I saw the Foldingcoin interview last month. Anticipation is killing me.
Same with ORB (Ownership Revolution through the Blockchain??) I read that the release was today but I can't find much mention of it yet.

Thanks

You can ask Shaban Shaame yourself tomorrow about the future use of MAGICFLDC on the Blocktalk live stream interview at 8pm EST. Also Foldingcoin founder Robert Ross and Takara/Sarutobi Game Dev Chris Moss will be on. Follow @block_talk on twitter to get the alert with the link to the live stream.

Here is the link to tonight´s live stream on blocktalk:

Grateful to you once again @heunland
