61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 01, 2023, 07:48:38 PM
Bangladesh's match with Afghanistan will be more challenging.  Sri Lanka was a weak team against Bangladesh.  Meanwhile, Afghanistan is a better team than Sri Lanka, so it will be more difficult for Bangladesh to face Afghanistan.
Both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are stronger than Afghanistan. The betting odds is slightly in favour of Bangladesh against Afghanistan. But the players of Bangladesh plays with the fear in most of the matches. This is the reason for their defeat in several matches. Anyway, I think Sri Lanka will win against Afghanistan. So, whoever wins between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will qualify for the super four.
Don't think Afghanistan is the underdog in this Asia Cup. Their matches are always very surprising especially when they get to bowl first, with their classy bowling they can actually make a big difference to the match because if they can keep a low Target right in the beginning it becomes fairly easy for them to win the match.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copytrading with Binance Leaderboard traders on: September 01, 2023, 07:35:31 PM
Good evening crypto people!

I'm here to introduce you to TradePicker, a web app that lets you
copy the best traders from Binance's official list.

Take a look at
https://tradepicker.net/

This is Binance's official Leaderboard and with our tool you can copy any
trader of your choice listed here:
https://www.binance.com/en/futures-activity/leaderboard

In trading i believe a difference of even seconds can give you different results, also trading isn't just about a single asset, there are multiple trades you'll have to take in order to stay in a net profit otherwise just taking a few trades of any professional trader won't really help you in any manner. Also I feel copy trading is just another new thing of trading world trending for lazy people.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin or having USD in bank on: September 01, 2023, 07:18:39 PM
I am not talking about people in United States or European countries that are spending Euro, or UK or countries like Kuwait, South Korea or Japan that their currency are not inflationary like the local currencies in countries in Africa, South America, Asia or some countries like Turkey.

The people  in countries that have high inflation rate prefer to save foreign currencies like United States dollar. Stable coin was created and most people from these high inflation countries prefer to save stable coins.

If you have your money in banks, you do jot have the complete control. If you save stable coins, most of them are centralized and you do not have complete control and they can fall out of peg and be lesser than the money they are pegged with they become. Example of the pegged coin was Terra Classic USD (UST) which was $1 before but now $0.01186444

If bitcoin price have increased, I can decide to convert some to USD or stable coin. Which one is better? Or is there other alternative which can be comparable with bitcoin in a way it would be independent and having full control characteristic.
USD in bank obviously, this question is like asking whether to buy a bitcoin or a bitcoin future, we very well know that stablecoin is sort of a derivative of the USD itself, if not a direct derivative but still something whose value comes from a base so it's always wiser to buy the base itself, if you want to stay on bitcoin if you are afraid of the value.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: September 01, 2023, 07:05:47 PM
Everyone wields different powers when it comes to business. Some say that cryptocurrency prices can be manipulated by wealthy individuals. Despite being decentralized, it seems that price movements can be controlled by specific entities.

So, in your opinion, can everything related to money in this world be manipulated? For instance, do you believe that the value of the USD or the largest stock market in the US can be manipulated by a few individuals?

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?
Very common practice I am sure. It's not about the asset being centralized or decentralized. Infact assets that are centralized are more difficult to manipulate because you can easily come into radar. Decentralisation gives you the ability to remain untraced even after market manipulations. Ove I feel any market can be manipulated. It's more about the market makers, the exchanges and obviously the institutional investor which are primary participants in manipulating the market.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you expect better, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? on: August 31, 2023, 07:57:48 PM
Hey all, I am new here: I've been reading a lot, and not posting much at first. You have a great place to learn at BCT. When trading crypto do you expect better, from yourself, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? Has anyone reading this ever found a cure? How do you permanently change and naturally be patient? Thanks all.
Practice is the only cure. It's a time taking process and obviously you'll lose a lot of money in the process as well but almost everyone went through this process before becoming a good trader. Better is to go with low amount trading, so that you lose lesser amounts while you are learning this skill.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 31, 2023, 07:55:18 PM

It's an easy win for sirilankan team although Bangladesh bowler done a good job the the target were not enough to defend for thier bowler, Bangladesh can scored more than a current target but unfortunately no one stick long on a ground and due to insufficient partnership they unable to scored a big target like 250 around which could be a defendable target at sirilankan condition.
But anyway still Bangladesh has opportunity to comback stronger as they will face India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal. So they have alot opportunity but if they know how to utilize it properly by shuffling some player which really boost them against thier upcoming opponents.

Today match between Srilanka and Bangladesh was not an equal match. The Bangladesh should increase their batting strategies,if the team is not affordable to score 170 runs in 50 overs.I don’t know what to say on this,Bangladesh also had good batsman. This Asia Cup is the important one before the World Cup,if the Bangladesh will not score above the 200 or 250.They can just quit their game in this series. It’s the important one by the team like Bangladesh to score some good run in the Asia Cup.Without any good play, how the other Asian Nation will ask the tour to the Bangladesh to increase the performance of both the team before the World Cup.
This is a Problem with Bangladesh and actually a very long lasting problem. They are inconsistent, Bangladesh considering the performances they sometimes do and talents they harness in local leagues should easily be in top 5 cricketing nations but it's always their inconsistency that stops them from becoming a great team, in a few games they'll play like they have no competition and in a few as if they can't give competition.
67  Local / India / Re: Indian PM Modi calls for global cryptocurrency framework at G20 Summit on: August 31, 2023, 06:46:04 PM
https://twitter.com/CryptooIndia/status/1695829656338075723?s=20

Did you watch this speech of Modi?

Finally, he is talking about cryptocurrency but pardon me since I don't understand Hindi that much but as per my understanding he is insisting creating global framework for regulating cryptocurrencies which means there will be something at G20 summit  which is supposed to be good news for crypto investors in India?

Do you see any hope for that 30% tax rate to come down?
I don't think just talking means that there would be a framework on Cryptos in India. As I have told earlier also multiple times until you see a complete framework on Cryptos by a developed 1st world country there is absolutely no chance that India will bring a framework on this. Secondly taxes is something I feel Govt. Is not going to cut for many years until they see actual investors coming from Cryptos.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: August 31, 2023, 06:38:08 PM
Since August in my country, the price of food, especially food staples such as wheat, rice and others, has experienced a very high price increase. This was apparently caused by the ongoing drought. Which makes several areas of plantations and rice fields fail to harvest due to lack of availability of water to water the plants. And this makes food stocks in the market start to run low from time to time. And yes, the price hike ensued. Rice prices here have even increased by around 9-10 percent in the last month in my area. And I'm afraid the increase will continue. Because many residents are starting to talk that if the drought continues longer then it is feared that the increase will occur higher and faster. For farmers, it can be said that currently they are getting big profits because they can sell agricultural products at high prices. but for ordinary citizens who do not have agricultural land, the current food prices really make them tight.

The residents' economic sector has actually begun to recover and improve in the past few months. But because at this time there was another spike in prices again, it made the people around me start to complain again about the current economy.

But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?
I think this is the very basic aspect of CPI (Consumer price Index). And if you see the CPI as well of the almost every country it's too high. And moreover specifically if you see the food prices they have gone double or even triple in past 2-3 years, infact even seasonal fluctuations of vegetables prices is too much that is also not a very good sign.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not A Crypto Trading Tournament Like Having FIFA eWorld Cup on: August 20, 2023, 06:06:44 PM
At age 16, I attempted to participate in FIFA eWorld Cup, an annual tournament that is organized by FIFA and EA Sports. It is the world’s largest and most prestigious gaming tournament for the FIFA video game series. The tournament is open to all players of the FIFA series, regardless of their skill level.

Now as an older adult and a cryptocurrency enthusiast, it was thrilling to stumble on some blog articles on Crypto tournaments like CryptoWars, a blockchain-based strategy game that allows players to build and battle armies of digital warriors. Players purchase, trade, and battle their warriors using a variety of digital currencies. The game seem to be designed to be a fun and engaging way to learn about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. But I imagine an event where actual cryptocurrency traders from every corner of the globe can join in the competition to compete for a grand prize. I don't know if there are crypto enthusiast out there already engaging in similar events other than Bets and casino events using Blockchain platforms, that seem to be the popular blockchain events I find around.

There are a lot of tournaments that actually happen. Yes generally they are sponsored by certain projects and they do it to create volumes and liquidity on their coin. These are generally coin specific competitions, which means you have to trade in only one of that coin to win the prize. Coming to why normal tournaments aren't popular. I think it's because first of all viewership of these things wouldn't be that much unless it's intense scalping. Secondly no trader would like to share it's trading strategy online.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 20, 2023, 06:02:14 PM

Ireland will definitely lose this one, but they could still win the last one if they play their cards right. Let's see what happens!
Losing this match is only a matter of time for Ireland as Ireland now need 38 runs from three balls to win. If Ireland could have done well early in the match then they would have had a chance to win this match but they batted brilliantly towards the end of the game due to which they were able to reduce the run gap with India a lot. If India win today's match, Jasprit Bhomra is likely to be the man of the match, as the fast bowler bowled brilliantly against Ireland and his bowling economy rate is very low. In addition to bowling at a low economic rate, he has picked up valuable wickets, so it will not be surprising if he is given the Man of the Match award today as in the first match. Jasprit Bhomra was not awarded man of the match but Ruturaj Gaikwad will be awarded man of the match as he opened the batting with a brilliant innings of 58 off 43 balls.
I am so happy for Bumrah today as well, consecutively second match and he looks in such a good touch no one can even tell that he is back from an injury. This performance makes me feel even sad that he wasn't part of the WTC final team otherwise he would have utilised these conditions so well. But yes Asia Cup and World Cup are both in sub continent where pacers won't get that much help it'll be interesting to see Bumrah's performance there.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: August 20, 2023, 05:59:49 PM
Hey guys- what are your thoughts on the game between Abasov and Carlsen?

The match ended a few hours ago and I cannot help but to give Abasov a huge congratulations for reaching this far in this tournament! By far, this is probably his greatest run ever yet, defeating Giri, Vidit, and Peter Svidler on the FIDE World Chess Cup 2023. I really think that he has a bright future ahead of him as these matches skyrocketed his classical rating to around +2700.

Well, Magnus doing Magnus things when he grinded out the game into a draw with the black pieces against the London System opening, thereby securing his spot in the finals!

For Fabi vs Prag, their match ended again with a draw and the tie breaks would happen tomorrow- who do you guys think would win on this match?

FUN FACT:
FIDE is the only tournament where Magnus has YET to won. Last 2021, he lost to Duda in the semi-finals and I really think that Magnus is hungry in winning this tournament!
Magnus is obviously Magnus. You will rarely see him actually getting defeated, losing to Duda was also a big exception that we saw, but yes Abasov will be pretty happy on this, playing candidates is in itself a big thing for him. If it would have been before the quarters of Pragg vs Arjun I would have said, Fabi will take it. But Pragg played so well in tie breakers in quarters I doubt it'll be easy to take him down. It'll be a big test of Fabi and even a small mistake can cost him the ticket to finals.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies are now playing a major role in regulating the economy on: August 19, 2023, 07:16:38 PM
A significant surge in cryptocurrency investment has swept across the globe. Every country worldwide is now actively considering their stance on cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency was even at the center of the US election. Various studies have shown that cryptocurrencies could dominate the economy in the next few years. Despite the political divide in America, Republicans and Democrats agree that cryptocurrencies will dominate the economy of the future. A survey found that more than half (53 percent) of Americans see crypto as the future, including 59 percent of Democrats and 51 percent of Republicans.

Currently, Americans want the regulations for crypto to be more transparent so that they can adopt it better. Republicans and Democrats also agree on the need for regulation to ensure that it becomes a safe investment option for American investors. 4 out of 5 Americans have a positive view of crypto. The acceptance of crypto among the American youth is so high that the American government is also paying special attention to it. A majority of older voters among American citizens also believe that crypto will create a more equitable economy with less reliance on banks and financial intermediaries. Crypto is currently the top investment choice for people aged 18 to 40 in this country. In almost every country in the world, the positive attitude towards crypto is increasing day by day, as a result of which cryptocurrency is going to play an important role in the economy in the future.

Will you agree with the thought that cryptocurrency is going to make a significant contribution to the economy of every country in the world ?
I doubt whatever you are saying. Right now obviously there is no way you can say that cryptocurrency is actually affecting the overall economy. A fraction of even the whole of the global market cap combined is nothing in front of the fiat and stock's economy that is going on. But yes talking about the future, right now until legalization kicks in anything can't be said, but even after legalizing it, chances are it will just become an investment tool, even in that case it won't become a major part of the economy, it'll even be far behind the commodities economy. Surely it's an issue the world has eyes on but surely not a thing that can impact global economy so quickly.
73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: August 19, 2023, 05:09:34 PM
What do we think could be the cause for a trader that has been experiencing a win and lose repetitive occurrences in his trades.

Like he places a trade today he makes profit and the next day when he places another trade he would lose it, whereas the next day he then makes another profit and lose it the next. And this happen been repeating for more than a month.

Has anyone had such experience? If yes! Then how was or could it be solved or stopped?
The situation is getting psychological.
I think risk management could be a problem. I have seen traders who actually experience the very same thing but however their risk and rewards are managed so beautifully that it would take 3 losing trades to actually equate the loss made by one winning trade. So over-all it's a net profitable scenario for them. So my first suggestion would obviously be to actually start improving risk reward ratio.
74  Local / India / Re: G20 Set to Crystalize Global Crypto Rules as India Wraps Up Presidency on: August 19, 2023, 05:03:44 PM
Exactly. I remember making a post on the same saying that the G20 countries are in favor of not banning crypto outright but will discuss on the possible regulations in future.
Still we are hearing the same thing.

As @pakhitheboss said
We need to wait patiently for the upcoming announcement.
This is something which I can say as news in the making . There would be many updates related to our concern after the G20 meeting. I am also sure that an outright ban on crypto won't be on their agenda as crypto is like flowing water which is hard to stop. I am not expecting anything from the government of India in the upcoming winter session of Parliament. I would have felt more motivated if they had done some reduction on the tax part. As of now It is highly unlikely as the ruling party is more focused on the central election next year. After election I am certain we would hear some positive and a few negative news from then government. I feel the same ruling party would come back and continue with thier objectives.
I think once the global laws on crypto set in the tax rules will automatically get a bit relaxed. Because once if there are some global rules governments will start taking this as an opportunity instead of threat. Once that happens you'll see government taking a welcoming approach by reducing taxes etc. On bitcoin. India definitely will not keep the flat 30% taxes for very long.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: I dont sell my assets i borrow against them on: August 19, 2023, 04:06:50 PM
I never sell once you sell you out of the game i borrow against them.
Only problem is that there is no good lenders so that's why i have started lending myself and Im working on to build my financial empire thanks to cryptocurrency it's all possible.
Best Ever assets created are btc and other volatile coins those are best collateral.
By borowing against assets it's great way to benefit owning assets without selling them.
It's not secret that "financial people and bankers " in the west use btc as collateral for the Loans before BTC it was gold used as collateral but since btc started the borrowing process against assets it's a lot more easy now.

The best collateral are BTC and best money are USDT.

Isn't it costly? I have heard borrowing money against Crypto is really costly. Also I have a question what do you do after borrowing the money? Is the overall net return margins have to be positive to actually take benefit of the capital that you borrowed otherwise it's useless. So what did the key for the returns in this model of earning money?
76  Economy / Economics / Re: Running faucet business in 2023 still possible? on: August 18, 2023, 08:27:38 PM
From someone who have claimed faucets almost all his days in 2016-2018 and managed to make some good money from just faucet claiming, I can't help but thinking how those running faucets at that time making money from it.

Since I don't see many people talking about this today I will like to ask for your help if any one knows of any places that I can learn about how to run my own faucet and how to make money out of it? .

Running Doge coin and few other old cheap coins like Litecoin Faucet is still doable, I can even add the likes of Shiba too,  where do you think I should start from? What do I need to learn about?

Lastly, what advice do you have for my goal?
I don't think faucet today makes sense. Faucet earning is actually really simple. You earn very small amount of popular currencies in faucets and then if you are lucky enough one day those coins will get pumped and reach at a decent level and obviously at that time you'll feel that faucet was actually worth it. Unfortunately such a thing isn't really practical for top cryptos now because even faucet providers know how far can bitcoin go so actually they will give you peanuts which can never really become big money. Your best bet is to receive faucet money in a hidden gem of a crypto which tomorrow becomes a big blockbuster.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think About the Shifting of Bitcoin ETF Approval on: August 18, 2023, 07:44:36 PM
You know, it's crazy how the SEC postponing the BTC ETF decision until 2024 is making everyone hold their breath. I've been talking to some folks, and opinions are all over the place. Some are like, "This delay is killing the momentum. We need that ETF to surge the market!" Others are more cautious, saying, "Maybe it's good to take time and get things right. Quality over speed, right?"

And let's not forget the impact of the first US BTC futures-based ETF listing on NYSE back in 2021. That thing kicked off a bull run like nobody's business. People are wondering if history might repeat itself. Could we see another surge if the SEC finally approves this one too? It's like waiting for a sequel to unfold, with fingers crossed.

This a mix of excitement and anxiety. People are speculating about how the price might react. Some think the uncertainty will lead to a temporary dip, while others believe it's just a bump in the road, and the long-term trend will keep moving up.

Personally, I'm all about hoping for that approval. I mean, it's not just about the price for me; it's about the wider impact. If the SEC gives the green light, it's like a signal to the whole world that we're moving forward.
I think it would be easy now for SEC after Europe has issued their ETF as well. But I think right now SEC is just kicking the football in the field and waiting until a global decision has been taken on cryptos and how are governments around the world going to take it. Once that is done in some forum only then it will be decided that how does SEC wants to keep it's ETF.
78  Local / India / Re: G20 Set to Crystalize Global Crypto Rules as India Wraps Up Presidency on: August 18, 2023, 04:43:19 PM
What happened in the discussion is entirely confidential so this article is based on the interview of someone who participated in that discussion.

It seems that G20 is pushing the government to come with more clear regulations about cryptocurrency and its future and the good thing is an outright ban on cryptocurrencies may not be the best approach . And RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said “the FSB report recognizes that individual jurisdictions have the choice to prohibit crypto if they so desire.”

Full article

I have been listening this for so many years now. It started in 2017-18 when g20 first realized to set laws for cryptocurrencies thinking that it can't be banned, it was discussed in many forums but never have all the major countries agreed on a single opinion, simply because Asian countries want to ban it while Europeans want to use it. USA wants to use it but with very strict laws. Even now I think the scenario will remain same, it's hard to bring China and Europe on the same page regarding how to use cryptocurrencies.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 18, 2023, 04:41:08 PM
India VS Ireland
As the first match of the Ireland vs India T20 series gets underway. India recent loss to West Indies and their determination to perform well India seems determined to prove their mettle against Ireland. The analysis favors India showcasing their stronger batting and bowling lineups. As the match begins, Ireland posted a total of 139 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets a performance that might fall short against India potent team. With India batting currently at 34 runs in 5 overs without losing a wicket it appears that they are on track to chase down the target comfortably. The match outcome indeed leans towards India favor, but the match is unpredictable nature always keeps us hooked until the very end.
The only motivation for me to watch this match is literally Bumrah. He was astonishing in the first over, the second ball literally took me back to peak Bumrah Era. But yes still a lot to prove for Bumrah before the world cup. I am surprised that how Indian team trusts one player so much that when he returns anyone can be benched. Overall the match I know would go India's way for sure no matter what happens. But yes if there is DLS then I have seen major t20 matches getting screwed due to that, otherwise Indian batting can easily pull this around.

Overtime I hardly made use of twitter account and it calls to my noticed that twitter logo was replaced to X instead of the previous logo. Now I was curious to know why such thing happened and why change logo X, does it positively affect the users in any way?
I don't know how many of you are regular user of twitter since I barely relates over there and I noticed is not cool for me to always use since the sold out to Elon Musk that was my ending love of using that social network.

If topic already existed I don't mind locking this thread.
I think probably it's because he wanted to change the concept of Twitter to a more open rewards-based social network where users are even paid for posting, a sort of like Web3 concept or even a Web4 concept. Maybe create a new age of Social networking which is why he did this. There are a lot of users of twitter and I have seen people even liking the concept of X obviously because they are getting paid nicely to have even 40-50k followers if you buy the blue tick.
