61  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What will happen when facebook gets replaced by blockchain?? on: April 22, 2018, 01:52:54 AM
i took a look at algebraix and it looks like they will be integrating some form of social interaction on the app. I'm curious to see how that's going to look....i'm very interested int he idea itself of getting paid to watch ads
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Havven (stablecoins) will be the next big thing I tell you on: April 22, 2018, 01:42:05 AM
I've done a lot of research on stablecoins and HAV is on my top 2. It will be determined on execution, but their dual token system is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to what they're planning on doing to get people onboard to use HAV
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Battle of the stablecoins on: April 22, 2018, 01:37:40 AM
havven without a doubt. the rest are either too centralized or lack transparency/speed.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Algebraix airdrop beta tester program on: April 22, 2018, 01:36:04 AM
I already did. great airdrop. the app has great content and I like that you keep what you earn.

I would also join their telegram if you have questions. They're really helpful on there. https://t.me/Algebraix_Data
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HAVVEN — Decentralised and asset-backed STABLECOIN on: April 22, 2018, 01:35:01 AM
At the moment, Havven is one of the most worthy projects that have been created. Competent team work is inspiring. HAV token is popular and its price stably keeps against the bear market. There is a belief in the fact that this payment network will be long and trouble-free to function.

I see havven working seamlessly in our society. I like that there's an incentive to hold havvens and as the network grows, it becomes more powerful. I can see a lot of momentum with their estore and that's a good way to kickstart havven's project/adoption
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] ALGEBRAIX - Permission-based advertising platform. Own your data on: April 22, 2018, 01:31:48 AM
True especially if they really advise, because often ico only get some high profile advisers that I am not just a face, no actual involvement. So I hope this new adviser will be active.

yes it would be good to see them announcing some advisors or partnerships. even without those this is a solid project
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / High Potential Crypto of 2018 on: April 22, 2018, 01:29:12 AM
Saw this awesome video by Martins Hacks and he covers havven. IMO one of the best projects this year. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/5D8Lt9HU6lM

Thoughts on stablecoin projects like Havven?
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / one IoT project to rule them all?? on: March 19, 2018, 09:47:36 PM
what do you guys think about IoT Chain (ITC)? Known as IOTA's rival but they use DAG+PBFT consensus. IMO better tech. Mainnet is set to launch this year. Crypto lark's video on them: https://youtu.be/BE8Gf-6sfJ4

What's your viewpoint on IOTA vs ITC??

Also a good read comparing them as well - https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/a-beginners-guide-to-iot-chain-the-iota-of-china_us_5a4a4edee4b06cd2bd03e183
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA Blockchain of China?? on: March 19, 2018, 09:44:50 PM
been looking hard into getting itc since it's around the price it was when it first hit the market.... this one has lots of potential and I won't miss this wave again. anyone else?
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite stablecoin?? on: March 19, 2018, 09:42:47 PM
I really think havven is the best out of all of them. The Havven platform uses two tokens to achieve stability.

The havven token provides the collateral for the platform. Nomin tokens (stablecoin) are issued against the value of the collateral token. This dual token approach incentivizes users to hold havven tokens because network transaction fees are paid to havven holders. As more people use nomins for everyday transactions, the value of havven tokens will increase due to the higher fees generated.

I recommend everyone to read into this because it really is very interesting. https://havven.io/

This system is way better than trusting what tether is doing with them being so centralized.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Permission-based advertising platforms?? on: March 19, 2018, 09:39:51 PM
I think this is a good idea rather than what we have now where people are bombarded with ads.

The thing is, brave browser is also doing decentralized ad control to limit invasive ads.

I don't think algebraix is doing ad control to limit invasive ads, but moreso you get rewarded to watch ads and provide info that could be highly valuable to advertisers looking to target their demographic. I think it's a different kind of project as algebraix is really the only one doing this. I think they can benefit a lot from partnering with ad networks and based on their app, they are focusing on high-quality ads.

also a good time to join their airdrop where you download their app and earn 15k tokens. https://algebraix.io/
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IoT-Chain on: March 19, 2018, 09:37:38 PM
ITC seems to be in the works of something big. love their team and how interactive they are. the market may be down, but it always recovers. I would want to hold as many bags of itc as I can. Anyone in their telegram group? https://t.me/IoTChain
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HAVVEN — Decentralised and asset-backed STABLECOIN on: March 19, 2018, 09:35:34 PM
I think now is the perfect time to be buying any alts. Market is down, so what? It always recovers. when looking at the project itself it is great. the best stablecoin out there that actually makes sense and isn't just copying our gold standard lol.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] ALGEBRAIX - Permission-based advertising platform. Own your data on: March 19, 2018, 09:33:51 PM
wow what a great ann thread you guys have. probably one of the best I've seen. other than that, this is a solid project. I see ads (and stablecoins) as the means of mass adoption
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you See Crpto ? on: March 19, 2018, 09:32:59 PM
Always believed in crypto for what it stands for. Centralization=past
76  Economy / Marketplace / What do you guys think about the stablecoin options out there? on: March 19, 2018, 09:30:45 PM
Do you think there's a viable stablecoin out there that can really facilitate everyday traansactions?? this was a great article that broke down what's already out there: https://www.forbes.com/sites/shermanlee/2018/03/12/explaining-stable-coins-the-holy-grail-of-crytpocurrency/#432e3ce84fc6

imo I already heard of everyone else and havven is the newcomer recently. I see lots of potential in them since the value isn't tied to fiat or gold. What do you guys think about stablecoins and them facilitating mass adoption?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coolest airdrop where you provide feedback of their app on: March 19, 2018, 09:28:39 PM
hey guys I found out about this really cool project called algebraix. they are a permission-based advertising platform with an app in beta. they currently have an airdrop going on where you interact with their app and earn 15,000 of their tokens.

main highlights of this project:
-CEO is co-founder of Reality Shares
-easy airdrop process
-app has a great UI/UX
-ads are a billion dollar industry
-you get paid in ALX tokens to watch ads and provide more info lol

ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3123790.msg%msg_id%
https://algebraix.io/

what do you guys think??
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins for the next Bull run on: March 19, 2018, 09:25:09 PM
Selfkey is pretty cool. You should also look into Iot Chain (ITC). rival to IOTA but has better tech. https://iotchain.io/

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rival to IOTA on: March 05, 2018, 02:24:35 AM
woohoo looks like crypto lark is making a video about ITC. https://twitter.com/TheCryptoLark/status/969347833475166209

all aboard the ITC train
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The newer and better Tether? on: March 05, 2018, 02:23:48 AM
Havven's ICO sold out a couple of days ago raising $30 million. http://blocktribune.com/blockchain-startup-havven-raises-30m-usd-ico/

What do you guys think? Anyone participate in the sale?

Nope, that kind of ICO won't make me even click on their website

First, to "peg" something you must trust centralized party to really store USD inside their vault, and 99% of the time they will stole it (empty vault).
Second (related to point before), cryptocurrency was built so that we don't need to trust any 3rd party for transaction. Why on earth we still wanna peg crypto into fiat and trust 3rd party again..

This exactly and that's why I never believed in tether. Very counterintuitive. The Havven platform uses two tokens to achieve stability. The havven token provides the collateral for the platform. Nomin tokens, a stablecoin, are issued against the value of the collateral token. This dual token approach incentivises users to hold havven tokens because network transaction fees are paid to havven holders. As more people use nomins for everyday transactions, the value of havven tokens will increase due to the higher fees generated.

Havven is a totally decentralised stablecoin, which means that, like bitcoin, it is secure and resistant to censorship. However, in contrast to Bitcoin, Havven uses a decentralised asset to reduce price volatility. The asset backing for the stablecoin comes from transaction fees generated by the Havven network. This means the asset is distributed and cannot be lost, stolen or seized.
