Daily Dev Update - 7/31/2014
Just checking in. Work on KeyOS is going well and we will have a beta for the community to test in Virtualbox soon.
In the meantime we are compiling Mac OS and Debian/Ubuntu Linux wallets with the anon feature built in. I expect release tomorrow at latest.
Regarding the "de-anon" FUD - it is exactly that, FUD. Multiple members of the dev team have tested it and it doesn't de-anon anything, it merely gives a mixer address as output.
The program's output string even says "Mixer Address (Your wallet sent coins to this mixer)" - it doesn't even attempt to de-anon the entire transaction, and can't.
Decentralized anon is also a longer term goal we are working on.
The KeyCoin promo video is on target for Saturday release.
We are currently working with CoinsSource and Bittrex to be one of the first "vetted safe" coins, hopefully soon enough for it to be featured in our "Sponsored" bittrex banner.

They still haven't provided an answer to my challenge (which someone has kindly posted them in both reddit topics). Instead they elected to provide examples from some random transaction which was probably sent by them in the first instance. Until they can respond with the correct answer to an anonymous transaction provided by someone else it is unproven. +1 Are you one of the devs/team if you don't mind me asking? |

Anyone get to read this? Look at their past projects. You will see the only difference from before is they really screwed themselves with crypt and had the balls to do key and try and fix it by hiding everything. EVERYONE IN THE CRYPTOWORLD KNOWS! They will do the same. If your invested with key make sure your either in the Pr0m P&D crew to know when to exit when they do or get out at a good time, possibly get out before all of the crewmembers tweet expected ATH's like they always do. hey guys we already tried running it. It's worthless because it requires access to the sending wallet, and it only gets the address of the first mixer.. which anyone can get by looking at their transaction, it however cannot get any of the remaining ones, and they are totally randomized as well. It just doesn't work guys. This is such a blatant attempt by a competing community to get their volume back. It belongs in key and it will stay here We appreciate you guys doing your homework though. Great community It probably doesn't require access to sending wallet. There seem to be nothing specific in the source code that would somehow differentiate between the sending and non-sending wallet (qt client). Unless there is some hidden (undocumented) feature in qt client that this source code is using. But this is just my educated guess. Can you explain which part of the program requires access to sending wallet? The author clearly stated in the edit that it doesn't need access to sending wallet: http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/2c6pax/program_that_deanonymizes_anonymous_keycoin/Address of the first mixer is enough for deanonymization. Who sent coins to the first mixer? Some random internet troll? Somebody sent me an example. He tested it on non-sending wallet (freshly installed) and it seems to work (not 100% sure). When is rc4 due for release? I've just bought back in again while the price is super low raffern there isn't a guaranteed "release date" for RC4. It is being worked on by many people and updates can be read about over at darkcointalk.org. I'd recommend you read through the last 3 pages of this thread to get a understanding of the dynamics and interactions around RC4. Thank you for the reply. Il head over there now and take a look. Mmmm I'm still laughing at all the losers who panic sold yesterday below 300. I lost quite a bit to but I was able to average down enough to put my self back in the green ( thanks to the market order nubs ). I just wish I got in below 100
I've made 50% profit today playing the swings. I was lucky and bought in most my Voot @ 400 sats My btc didnt clear fast enough for me to pick up sub 400 But who cares lol! It's been a good day for me. |
