Havertz's progress is incredible. He scored in the last four games. He's slowly overcoming the pressure of his high transfer fee and is adapting to the team.
It's good to see Arsenal back on top. Tomorrow is the game of the week, either Liverpool or Manchester City will definitely lose points. A draw seems to be the best result for us. But if one side is going to win, I'd like to see Liverpool to win. Because they are less likely to be champions. There are not many teams in the league that can stop Manchester City. It would help us if they lose points in this match. Smiley

I don't follow Games & Rounds section much, I saw this topic from the News header. It was announced a little late but there is still time. I'll announce this in our local board and try to participate like last year.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 03, 2024, 05:02:15 PM
Valencia played an effective game and missed the win yesterday, they shouldn't have settled for a draw. Real Madrid is not an unbeatable team, but their opponents are very scared. Only Atletico have beaten them this season.
Now Girona and Barcelona are back in the hunt. They have to win their game today. Both are difficult games on paper, but they have no choice but to win if they want to reignite their title ambitions.

Smiley

Sevilla kept the score for a long time and were close to getting the point they wanted, but Modric spoiled their plans. Modric is playing great even at that age, he's a fine wine. I don't know if he will retire at the end of the season, but I'm lucky to have been able to watch him throughout his career. Real Madrid won despite missing so many players including Bellingham, Joselu and Carvajal, which is a good signal. They want to make no mistakes on their way to the championship.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 25, 2024, 11:09:58 PM
I watched a game for the first time since the All-Star fiasco and Milwaukee beat Philly very comfortably. While the Sixers were focused on Giannis, other Bucks players hit wide open threes from outside and led by 21 at half time. The fact that they made 7 extra threes made the difference. Giannis didn't have to do much as the Bucks maintained the scoring margin throughout the game. Until Embiid comes back, the Sixers have a very difficult job. He'll be back before the playoffs start, which is good news, but the Sixers need to do better while he's out.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: February 25, 2024, 10:13:09 PM
I don't know what exactly you are referring to. Money can buy a lot of things, it can help you live a more comfortable life, but it doesn't bring happiness on its own. It's hard to be happy without money, that's for sure. The responsibility of taking care of yourself and your family without depending on anyone else is huge.
When you talk about engineers, I think you mean having an important profession. Yes, there is no need for that. Titles like this are overrated. But studying and improving yourself is important regardless of making money. Working in a field you are interested in and being successful, trying to be the best gives a pleasure that money can't give.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 25, 2024, 06:59:26 PM
Real Madrid's games against Sevilla are usually always enjoyable and full of goals, but lately Sevilla haven't been winning at all. I don't think that will change today. Sevilla have been in a very bad situation this season. They were even in serious danger of relegation, but they have recovered a bit in recent games. In the last 4 games they fix their defense and have conceded only 2 goals. They collected 8 points and moved away from the relegation zone. I don't think they have many expectations for this game. This is not their target game anyway. Real Madrid will win and not let Barca get their hopes up.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5.00 CGPA or 5 BTC? on: February 23, 2024, 10:23:36 AM
It's ridiculous to even compare this. In many countries you can live on 5 BTC without having to work until you die. That's that much money. GPA is not important, even graduating from university is not that important anymore. Many people don't even work in the field they graduated from. The important thing is to develop yourself in the field you are interested in. If you can do what you really want and make money from it, that's the best.
70  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: Yatırım Stratejisi : Pokemon Taso Koleksiyonculuğu on: February 18, 2024, 08:47:14 PM

3-point contest was fun and very challenging as all players scored 20+ in first round. Dame Time ended it the way it suited him.
Dunk contest was mid. It was weird that Jaylen Brown made it to the finals. Toppin had better dunks. McClung had no competition again, so he didn't dunk very differently than last year. The NBA management has to do something about the jury. Grin
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 17, 2024, 11:26:46 PM
Barca barely got the three points today. If not for the last minute penalty and its replay, they would've dropped 2 more points. Lewandowski scored a goal that will go down in the generics after a long time. Barca's biggest problem is that they can't get Lewandowski the ball in the right place. Xavi couldn't figure it out. With the departure of Busquets, they tried many players in the midfield but nobody could play like him. I think these are the two main reasons why they are behind in the title race this season. We don't see Barca scoring more goals and conceding less. Now we will see what kind of a game the next manager after Xavi will play. Who he will be is also unknown, there are many candidates but there is still no definite name.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 17, 2024, 11:07:24 PM
I feel sleepy but I'm curious about the dunk contest. Even if it doesn't have the flavor of the old years, last year McClung brought some excitement back to the contest. I want to see if he will do something different this year. I'm not sure if Jaylen Brown and Jaime Jaquez Jr. are up to the challenge, I can't imagine how good they can dunk. I wonder if Jacob Toppin is as good as his brother Obi. I've never followed him either. For now, with the limited information I have McClung seems to be the favorite again. I hope we can see surprise performances from the others.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: February 17, 2024, 10:55:42 PM
Altcoin investments have always been riskier. Choosing the right one among thousands of coins requires serious research. You also need luck on your side. The mind-boggling gains on some altcoins naturally attract gamblers. Those who buy coins not with the mentality of making a smart long-term investment, but with the aim of making a quick buck in a short period of time, often don't realize that they are taking a big gamble. It's hard for them to realize how rare altcoin stories that make people rich in a short time are. In such a market, Bitcoin will always remain a safe haven.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 12, 2024, 06:32:13 AM
48 push-ups as a starting point? That's a pretty intense starting point for a lot of people and  more like an ouch-ing point, am I right? If you've been out of practice with exercise for awhile, jumping into that many reps is just asking for injury or frustration, which would suck.  Many of us are long past our 30s, you know?

I'm into pushing limits too dont get me wrong.  But taking baby steps is smart if we want to actually stick with something long-term.   It should be about sustainable, personal growth and not proving anything to anyone else.  Incremental progress is rad.

I think you missed the whole point of the post. Last time I checked 48 (a representative figure as BTC price) was smaller than 100 (as OP stated). For someone who has 30+ years of sports background and hasn't worked out for a while, it's normal to start with 12x4 sets after a 1-week warm-up period. I don't understand why you are surprised by this. Everyone's fitness program is different. Some do 4 push-ups, some do 400. The important thing is not how many push-ups you do, but the intention.
76  Other / Meta / Re: About the post count on: February 11, 2024, 06:01:10 AM
Post count and activity are two different things. You can make unlimited posts and increase your number but you can only get 14 activity points every 14 days. It starts from zero together but at one point your post count will pass your activity if you post regularly (If you make more than 1 post daily).

I think one of the reasons why this is constantly confused by new members may be that the post count is not shown by the forum when you first become a member. In fact, I've seen many members who have been on this forum for years and don't know how to open the post count.

77  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 11, 2024, 05:49:01 AM
I think it's a challenge that everyone should do, I'm in! For those who haven't done push-ups for a long time, start with smaller numbers. For example, you can start with 48. Then it can be increased to 100 and 400. This is not really difficult, it can be done as 200 in the morning and 200 in the evening. When you feel the difference, you realize it's worth it.
I don't think this challenge will last long. We have to gain as soon as possible. Wink
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 10, 2024, 06:16:24 PM
I think Bellingham's goal is the sign that Real Madrid will be the champion. If Girona couldn't make a comeback from here, every advantage will be on Real's side. Besides point difference they will get the psychological superiority which is more important at this point. Barca could've closed the 5 point gap, but Girona don't have that experience, culture, background or strength.

Scottie Barnes and Trae Young are picked for All-Star game. They replace injured players Julius Randle and Joel Embiid.
Speaking of Scottie Barnes, look at that shot: https://twitter.com/WinkyChrist/status/1755415488132419586

Watching Sixers - Warriors game, first half was balanced but Warriors made 20 points difference in third quarter and close to win the game. Jaden Springer locked Curry in first half. It was first time since 2018 Curry couldn't score from the field in a half.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: February 07, 2024, 02:07:52 AM
I think the declining use of Twitter has little to do with Elon Musk. Twitter was already an outdated social media application. Writing in 140 characters wasn't a genius idea. I can even say that it became too popular. But now that new ones are more popular instead, it has started to be forgotten. It's now fashionable among the new generation to shoot videos, not to text, so Tiktok blew. Instagram and Facebook even Youtube are turning to short videos. It doesn't appeal to me, but young people like them.
