BEWARE OF FRAUD!

Hi, he says it is a game.  While you might say it looks shady, where is your evidence of fraud?  It is true that I would be cautious because he is a noobie, but cmon, if someone is trying to start a gambling website let's give them a fair chance to promote, o.k.?
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want MMA Props! on: July 26, 2015, 10:42:54 PM
I think that MMA is still not that popular around here.  I don't see it being discussed much, and the thread I started for ufc 190 discussion is doa.  Maybe this thread can be a sort of petition to indicate interest in ufc betting?  Ok, then in that case I am interested.  Anyone else?
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain size on: July 26, 2015, 10:39:49 PM
Franky, that is exactly what I was thinking.  Imagine this, all you whipper snappers: my first computer had a hard drive the size of... 300 mb.  And that was pretty good at the time.  Technology is growing so fast that it might not be something we really need to worry about.

Plus, there are so many talented individuals in the bitcoin community that I am confidant a solution for such a simple problem could be reached even without technology advancing.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the blockchain will be hacked on: July 26, 2015, 10:36:41 PM
Here is my take on it.  If I hack the blockchain, and do something nefarious (double spends, steal coins, or whatever), then the security flaw will be noticed pretty quickly.  So what happens?  I think that bitcoins quickly become worthless.  So there is no point to hack it, because there is no financial incentive.  This is why I think hackers are more likely to focus on hacking exchanges or individual's wallets in stead of trying to hack the blockchain itself.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Businesses that are online only. on: July 26, 2015, 02:45:18 PM
I agree.  I think that when amazon starts taking btc it will be a pivotal moment.  Right now I know of dell, microsoft, newegg, and purse.io (for amazon).  There might be others but those are the ones that I know of.

Be patient, I am sure it will happen!
66  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTCHyip - brand new HYIP on: July 25, 2015, 07:58:14 PM
I think it looks interesting, but I wish you would come up with a more sustainable scheme.  This is why I like ponzi style games, like chain profit.  At least you know what you are getting in to with those!
67  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Rush (formally Casino Bitcoin) ripped me off and cannot be trusted on: July 25, 2015, 07:55:27 PM
Well, this is alarming.  I agree that even if you cancel affiliate status, earned money is still earned money.  It is too bad that he had to complain on the forums to get any attention.  Thanks for the heads up, OP!
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin halving is near, will the price increase after halving? on: July 25, 2015, 07:47:02 PM
Also, I would like to add that LTC seems to follow the price of bitcoin pretty closely as far as ups and downs, but also seems to change at a greater rate.  This does not necessarily mean it will always do so, but the price of BTC at or near halving may have a big effect as well.

Yes it moves more thats why people trade it, easy money.

Thanks, those are some beautiful charts Smiley

I think we have only seen the beginning of this, D.  I just picked up some more, it i really cheap for some reason.  I think now is the best time to get in, because when the next major update hits it will get a lot more expensive.

Not?  My guess is not.  Also, with those numbers up there, why would oyu ever NOT use the one day option?  I am assuming that is a typo.
72  Economy / Gambling / Re: Common Gambling Terms (Casino , Roulettes , Sports Betting etc. ) on: July 25, 2015, 01:30:04 AM
Nice.  I also agree that it should be stickied.  Or maybe make another sub forum for gambling education, for noobs?  Or anyone looking to improve their knowledge about a particular game.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Got my 1st BTC, and now? on: July 25, 2015, 01:25:38 AM
I think your best bet is to hold.  If you want to invest, then maybe only invest at most .5 btc.

You can work for btc, there has to be some skills you can offer either here or elsewhere.  That imo is better than chasing the next great investment.  You can lose really fast if you are not careful.

For example, I lost a little bit on bitcoincloudservices, they stole the money and ran.  I didn't do enough research on the company, and I got screwed.  But I only had a very small part of my money in there so it didn't really effect my bottom line.  In fact I can use it as a write off, so its a lose-win I guess.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic sellers and non-holders beware: This could be you in the future. on: July 25, 2015, 01:20:57 AM
The real secret to not panicking, and being able to sleep at night, is to only invest what you can afford to lose.  This goes for anything, not just bitcoins.  So if BTC went to 20 cents or something ridiculous over night, I would be bummed but the effect on my life would be near zero.  If you only put what you can afford to lose, and then you assume that some investments will tank (because no one, not even Warren Buffet, wins all the time).

So if it tanks, you can take a step back and re evaluate the situation.  If you decide that the market is right, then sell.  If you think that it is wrong, then hold.  And remember, its only a paper loss until you transact.

And forget efficient markets.  I make really good returns because the markets are wildly inefficient.

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funny how bitcoin controls everything on: July 23, 2015, 07:20:22 PM
I think it is natural that bitcoins are the major basis for comparison.  This might not always be the case, but right now it is the most valuable coin, and the most widely used/accepted.  Most alt coins (including shit coins, because hey, they have at least some value) are not accepted by anyone for payment, so if you want to actually use your coins, you will need to trade them in for one of the major coins, and depending on where you want to spend them, that likely means bitcoins and not one of the other main alts.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bachelor's thesis on Bitcoins on: July 23, 2015, 07:17:08 PM
I suggest that you get into it, make transactions at places like LBC and purse.io.  Find retailers that accept bitcoins.  Look at the market place here.  Buy a cheap miner and mine for a bit.  Without knowing your personal interests it is impossible to suggest anything, and I think the best way for you to find a topic is to spend a week or two in the world of cryptos.  I bet you will find something that catches your interest.
