The last poker tournament was fun already and i'm in on this too. The timing is my biggest handicap but it's all about the fun and since this is a global userbase I wont complain. Much love and self-abandonment for the fun and networking =)

Buying time is what they are doing. Nothing more. Until on the 4th of february every private miner gives up on them because they ask valid IDs and who wants to give up on his privacy and trust them with their IDs?

OK, it's obvious that Bitcoin should be trust-free, but it temporarily isn't. That's life. There should be no wars, but there are, all over the world. What's positive in this whole situation is that it is temporary. They will stop accepting new miners, and they just can't cut off people who simply will not switch from their pool no matter how unreasonable that is. Considering the insane rate GHs being added to a network, and the fact they have 55% of their hashing power from outside miners, they should drop under 40% in one or two difficulty increases, one month at the most. If they would not be under 40% a month from now, then we should be worried cause they are lying right now about being serious and aggressive in reducing their network percentage.
Do you really think they have 55% of outside miners? what makes you so sure about this? if they can add the feature to mine with the ghashes on other pools who tells you they arent doing so with their own gear right now? Imo if people buy the overpriced hashpower nothing ensures that they didnt infiltrate other pools with their mining power already. In the end what we need is transparency and some sort of evidence that they play with open cards. They ask their users to give out their IDs by the 4th of february... First of all we should all claim to see a valid ID of the owner of cex and himself holding it up to the camera or something like this because right now this is labcoin 2.0 to me (ftwk)

Hey man thanks for opening up this thread. I am really concerned right now and probably not the only one after reading the thread about the doublespends and whatnots. We need to get more attention to this topic at all costs. Also please ensure to get official statements by cex to this. I will email the support right after posting this. Post it on the forums, mail it to them and show that we as a network do not accept centralization. The whole mining on other pools stuff just makes it impossible to trace the the hashing power of cex.io in total. It is necessary to gain transparency because that is the only way to ensure this currency and plattform that bitcoin is can succeed in the long run.
Labcoin 2.0 is upon us and maybe people didnt see the signs last time but this time we as a network have to do better. People with deep knowledge about the network itself and also the financial aspects of this have to come up with a solution and if cex doesnt react, we have to find a constructive way of getting the power back to the people. Even with the next gen miners this is almost impossible because people pay mad prices for the ghashes on cex right now and I don't see how we can put an end to this because of the moneydriven greed people that think that they miss out today if they dont buy while they dont see that they ruin themself in the near future if they blow away all their money right now to make cex take over the network tomorrow. Please wake up people. Realize how this network works and don't give away your precious coins to people centralizing what was meant to be free and decentralized.

is that unity webplayer doing anything harmful to me? Edit: I was asking since it didnt redirect me to an official site but i googled it and it seems fine maybe you should redirect to the page itself since it could scare people off trying and testing now Edit 2: ok very basic so far but i already got 100 bitcoin. I'd like to withdraw, where do I have to put my wallet ID? The wizard seems to be overpowered, i lost none of the battles i made so far and i fought all different classes so far. Anyways keep us updated but maybe work a little longer on this before pulling our attention to such a prototype since one can't really do much so far. ah yes, sorry about that it is a Browser Plugin that needs to be installed in order to play the Game. Unity is much better for Rendering 3D in the Browser and offers much more than Flash Player does right now, so that's why I went with Unity. But thanks for the feedback I'll need to do some testing on multiple PCs and Browsers to see how the WebPlayer is Loading and Make sure it's not Scaring People Off. Regarding Gameplay, yes currently it's very basic, and the World has not been fully created it, the World will be much bigger... and it wont be so easy to find bitcoins in the Final Version, you'll have to explore more and or hunt down enemies monsters, or other players. Also, there will be abit more to the Combat System where you can Use Healing Potions, and Cast Spells, so that will create a much more dynamic Combat between you and other Players, and Enemy Monsters will be Harder (current we just have some placement characer bots)... More to Come for Sure. I wanted to Post this bit early because part of Game Development is we need Player Feedback throughout Development Process in Some cases to help make sure the Game will be something people want to even play, and also helps to build a little buzz as the Game comes together. Without some buzz and players looking forward to it, i won't really have much of a player base at all. But I see your point also... Thanks again for your input. since you already spent some time putting this game together its probably too late to ask you to swap engines into a 2d environment like hammerwatch has it? i heard that its easy to put together levels in it and custom mods are being worked on right now. I would love to see a bitcoin like version of it and it offers similar aspects as you mentioned already. Maybe you could give that a look. its not a webbrowser game though. But if you plan on adding more to the combat system i think i will also be fine with playing and trying this though i didnt like the point and click controls of the unity player too much so far. Anyways keep it up. It's cool people find their passion to program for bitcoins and to mix those things up. Don't listen to the trolls that try to keep you down. just do your thing, it's always exciting to see new games grow. Cheers!
