Xialla ... At first I was upset about your recent comments, but now I realize you are simply mentally or emotionally challenged...
Come on now... in the end it's just a difference of opinions that's all. Let's just use the "ignore" button and keep things civil. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

10 GH/s card - $50 to $100 60 Gh/s card - $200 to $400 100 Gh/s card - $500 to $1200 500 Gh/s card - $1200 to $2500
Where are you getting these figures from? and what companies are you referring to when you say "A lot of companies..."?

Also, if you can front the cost, try to go for a higher rated PSU. Some actual numbers from my personal rigs for your reference:
Rig1:
Silverstone Strider 1000W Silver Plus - $190 draws 960W (Kill-a-watt)
Rig2:
Seasonic X-1050W Gold Plus - $230 draws 880W (Kill-a-watt)
So the upfront cost difference is $40. The amount I save on 80W difference over 24/7 year round is $84 for me with my $0.12 per kW/H. If you live in an area with higher power cost, this will mean a lot more.

850W is not that much more interms of cost, and if you ever decide to add a third 7950, then you are already setup to handle all 3 GPUs.

For what it's worth, Pre-Orders are sort of a necessary evil if you want to see a worthwhile return. If you are willing to accept the risk, you get in before everyone else and reap a much greater reward. If you wait until units are "off-the-shelf" deliveries, you won't see a whole lot back with everyone else trying to get a piece of the action.
Simply put, Pre-Orders exist as a vehicle for those that accept it for what it is. Bashing Pre-Orders is sort of like bashing redheads because your "preference" is with brunettes, in other words, it's non-sense.

@CartmanSPC
Very nice build man... much envy going your way for sure.
Are you just using the card fans to cool? or do you have anything else pushing air through them? It's gotta be pretty warm around that thing.

It's very possible. I have one rig with a 6870 and a 7950 on an Antec 550W platinum. Both cards are undervolted to 1087. According to my Kill-a-watt, the 6870 draws 133W and the 7950 draws 212W.

I don't believe they will fail to deliver first gen stuff
Oh, really? It's already September and nobody has still seen a single hashihg chip. Nothing wrong with what he said. That's just his personal opinion and I for one agree.

Anyone know the power consumption for these?

So you describe a problem, ask for help on solutions...
and the resulting 11 pages that follow are the same problems you describe: vendor hate, people calling people whatever, people talking off topic, with some genuinely trying to address the OP's issue, and etc.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or condescending or any of that, just an honest question: If you really wanted to change this, why don't you just "moderate"? you know, like your title says. Use your common sense/best discretion. If someone starts bashing BFL in the KNC thread, tell them to stay on topic. If someone calls someone a whatever tell them to keep it civil. If Josh calls his customers a moron cuz they want their money back for an undelivered product, tell him to act professional. If people refuse, just ban them for a bit? I don't know...
Or don't. It's up to you. Just that most of the other forums I goto, this is what the "moderator" tends to do.
I personally like the forum exactly the way it is. I like reading all the bashing, all the useful information, all the drama, it's like watching reality tv almost. I like it when people go at it like Bitcoinorama and KS, within their exchanges you can glean useful info from both sides, and generally be more educated thanks to their efforts. You can find useful info in just about any posts here if you look for them.
I love this forum.

I wonder if there will be any problem combining several old power supplies to power knc miners, since I have few lying around.
I've combined powersupplies before with my GPU rigs and my recommendation would be not to risk it. I can only speak from personal experience, but they are a mixed bag of results. Sometimes they worked perfectly fine. Other times when switching on the second PSU connected to the motherboard, the bios would reset and cause random issues. Still other times, the GPUs connected to a different PSU would behave differently than the GPUs connected to the main PSU (eg: fans 100% permenantly). I'd say don't skimp on the powersupply with expensive hardware.

I like reading BitCoinzzz postings. Reminds me of older Adam Sandler movies.

I've been following Jerry (aka: DakotaEllington) on his youtube channel for a long time. One of the reasons for creating this coin was to provide additional SHA-256 coins to mine for people who's USB Eruptors and Jalapenos are becoming obsolete in the coming few months. Anyways, the OP of this thread is not Jerry. He's been alerted by other forum members on cryptocointalk.com https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1092-pre-ann-butterflycoin-bfc-pre-announcement/?p=5505Jerry is a genuine/honest person and will never try to pull this "send donations for password" BS. His videos speak for themselves. Also, Jerry is is from Alabama and as far as I know he does not speak German. If you check the OP's previous posts you will know what I'm talking about.

I know may I have been an idiot buying from them.
You should probably email them and ask for a refund before they can give you the "we can't refund now because we are shipping" excuse, and hope for the best.

This is with a ridiculously high % per month increase in Diff (76%), and no increase in BTC value/dollar, which I consider worst case scenario.
Any idea what would be a more realistic monthly increase %? I realize it will start tapering off at some point but the latest increases are making me cringe.

Or that his MPP BS has been totally unravelled for what it is; purely an excuse for the fact they could but won't offer real consumer protection, or accept liability for their claim of 'anticipated date' being sales BS. They already know if they have been allocated a hot lot by TSMC, or not. Removing all possibilities for refund until January (when all monies will have been spent), or accountability, speaks volumes.
Technically if they already know whether they will be allocated a run or not, but are still suggesting an anticipated delivery date they cannot meet would be at best dishonest, and at worst fraudulent. Some of their customers have already signed an NDA, and those particular customers should be asking for visual proof of confirmation. MPP means sh*t all, of everyone else has already covered their expenditure, by the time you receive you unit.
I'd rather have true third party accountability for inability to deliver, than bogus protection for false claims.
Again if Hashfast could meet their anticipated deadline, prove it, stake your reputation on it, accept Paypal and give people the option of cancelling within 45 days when everyone will know whether you're honest, or not.
Agreed 100%. I think most people will see through the claimed MPP, including Cypherdoc to be honest. I think he just came on and said what he said to deliberately rile people up and maybe encourage some to make an argument.

3 pages of discussion and not a trace of Cypherdoc. He be thinking mission accomplished.

Anyone else mine for the fun of it? I'm kind of addicted to setting up hardware/software...

Honest question about BTCGarden: I don't understand how their 192 GH/s miner is worth $10271(USD) when you can get 400+ GH/s for $6995(KNC) and $5600(HF). Are they shipping in the next few days or something?
