61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 15, 2023, 09:55:23 AM
I think it's easy to find lots of female gamblers in countries that have legalized gambling. Women can also gamble regardless of their motives, that is normal in developed countries even though it can be considered as wrong behavior in my country. Gambling is restricted only by age, not by gender, so women can also engage in gambling instead of working in gambling houses.
I don't know about that, but I think women may not show the public that they play gambling as well as men. Some people still think it is inappropriate to show to other people we don't know. But indeed, some women show others that they like to gamble. So this will depend on each other's thoughts, and we also cannot judge that what the women are doing is wrong. I also think it's better for women to gamble from their homes than to come to an offline casino to hide from the public that they also play gambling.
I don't see anything wrong even if women go to land-based casinos to gamble alongside men, if their culture, their religion, and their country allow that, why not? Gambling knows no gender discrimination, whether you are a man or a woman, you can gamble, play any game that you like, bet on sports events, or do any sort of gambling that you deem fit for yourself and you think that you can play it with ease and have got the funds for it.

I personally don't think that women that gamble hide it from others because generally, the women who gamble are not from such backward-thinking places, and if a woman gambles who lives somewhere where it is not considered good, then it might be the reason for them to hide their gambling activities.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: July 15, 2023, 05:23:24 AM
The only advantage I can see for a web3 casino would be the NO KYC aspect. Gamblers who value their privacy might want to consider this option. I have never used a web3 casino but if you are betting on-chain directly I can potentially see issues with it being to slow and expensive. Even layer 2 blockchains can have high fees and face congestion which don't make it ideal for really small transactions. If a popular casino like Stake moved their entire userbase to an on-chain casino, that blockchain would slow to a crawl and fees would skyrocket. I wouldn't want to make a $5 bet and end up having to wait hours for a confirmation and pay $10 in gas fees.
Those definitely are potential issues related to web3 casinos, and on top of that, one more disadvantage of web3 casinos is that you don't have the option of using a lot of different cryptocurrencies for betting, there can hardly be about 2 or 3 coins that you can use for on-chain betting which might stop a lot of people from using a web3 casino platform because every user has a different preference when it comes to cryptocurrencies used for gambling.

And KYC won't really be an advantage in the future because authorities are already looking for ways to start regulating decentralized platforms and if that happens, these casinos along with decentralized exchanges will all be regulated and work under licenses, and then they will be compelled to ask their users to complete KYC verification.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: July 15, 2023, 04:52:40 AM
One of the way where banks have an upper edge to accumulate more money with the money of users who
are not using their money and just leave it as savings for longer time frame.
And this is where the adoption of bitcoin  comes in, rather than leave your money with banks to enrich themselves  with it, and paid peanuts in form of interest a d also requiring  a whole bulk of documents when claiming your money, the option of investing in Bitcoin  should be the best as there are more possibilities of making more money if everything been equal and maket moves very fine.

There is a form known as the POD ( Payable on Death) form and I will strongly advice anyone who has some reasonable sum of money in the bank to always demand for this form  as this will save your family a whole lot of stress if one passes away else just buy bitcoin  and keep your seedprase in a safe and secure  place where it can be accessed in case of death.
People who believe in Bitcoin have started keeping their money in Bitcoin long ago but those who don't believe in it and are blind followers of these traditional financial institutions, will never be able to understand this and they will keep depositing their money in the banks whether they are being misused by the banks for personal gains or whatever they are doing, they believe that their money is safe with them so they rest assured.

On the other hand, banks and other financial institutions along with official government authorities are against Bitcoin for this sole reason because they know if all people start using Bitcoin and stop keeping their money at the banks, they will be doomed because they won't have any money in that case.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore this Classic Business Law or Follow Your Instincts? on: July 14, 2023, 05:25:53 PM
Following instinct is wiser, however usually human minds are so muddled we often do not recognize them.
Instincts don't always work in your favor and you can face great losses sometimes only because of your instincts, so it's better if a person follows a business strategy instead of following their instincts and losing money. And this is not only about cryptocurrencies or trading, but it is about all the businesses that exist in the world, you should never start doing a business only because your instincts say that you will find success in it but you should think it through.

A business cannot be successful without doing anything, you need to first analyze the market you are about to start a business, and then you will need to evaluate your chances of getting success based on your budget and planning and everything and then you should go ahead with it.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 14, 2023, 03:06:31 PM
I think Paris Saint Germaine shouldn't be blamed for the continuous media trafficking issue concerning their player Kylian Mbappe and his supposed transfer to Real Madrid.
Mbappe should've become a Real Madrid player last summer transfer window but changed his decision abd extended his contract with PSG because the club offered a better financial deal than the one he got from Real Madrid. Now that he's convinced that it is at Real Madrid that he can win the UEFA Champions League and probably the Balon D'or he wants to secretly agree to go back to the club without PSG's knowledge. PSG has already included him in the list of players they're gonna sell off this summer and that'll be to the highest bidder so Real Madrid should save us from the continuous news of Mbappe by signing him with PSG's terms
Currently situation is confusing with media creating good mess-up with this all which creating problems for the both parties PSG and Kylian Mbappé even now he is set for the next journey which could be Real Madrid or any other club which is good chance for him but right now first problem is who is going to afford this luxurious player in UEFA finances are not good for the many clubs and Real Madrid it already announces they can't buy him right now which is surely problem for the player, but few media reports are saying all is settled which is also confusing but if we have no Real Madrid deals in this season then most chances we will have no Kylian Mbappé in Real Madrid for the next few seasons because right now just few Premier League clubs are interested which will surely do long deal instead of having 2 or 3 years which cannot be good for the both parties which are currently involved in this all business.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 14, 2023, 08:20:56 AM
Florentino Pérez said they plan to sign Mbappe for the next season. But considering the current situation of Mbappe, I assume Pérez may try to sign him now. Moreover, Real Madrid still has no a top striker, they only signed Joselu. I think Joselu isn't enough to compete for UCL title.
Indeed, after the departure of Benzema, they still do not have a replacement that is at least equal. And with Mbappe, this would be an extraordinary thing, but it's still wishful thinking at this time, because it's still just rumours. But indeed, the rumors in the current transfer market are stronger than before. If previously PSG could make such an attractive offer for Mbappe, this season might be different again. But, will Mbappe return to how he used to be, pressing his desire to go to Real Madrid and stay at PSG for certain reasons and offers.
Situation at Real Madrid is very confusing because things are looking not good for the next season again with specially after exit of Karim Benzema they are missing quality striker even they signed few new names, but they are not as par requirement and as we all know Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez already announces they will not buy Mbappé on current price and try to bring him as free agent which looking not wise decision because if PSG insist about extension in contract, and he refuse then surely most chances they will sell him as few English clubs are in negotiation about this possible transfer with this most chances Mbappé's dream for playing here Real Madrid is going to shatter because next deal is surely going to happen for the four or five years which will create problems for the both parties Real Madrid and Mbappé just because of this Real Madrid has to act quickly.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 14, 2023, 05:12:42 AM
Yes, that seems to be the case. Napoli actually don't want to let go of their flagship players this season, because at least they have to maintain the title, that's why they set a very high price for Oshimen. Likewise Oshimen, he still feels at home and wants to be in Napoli. SO, PSG's hope of getting Oshimen seems quite small indeed.
Well, it will be very difficult to keep the Napoli title. I would say that the question is about the competitiveness of the club in the fight for a place in the Champions League. Nevertheless, the championship season at Napoli turned out so well and the stars were located in such a favorable combination that it is very difficult to expect that everything will be the same this season. Moreover, the main culprit of the miracle in the person of Luciano Spalletti left the club.
Now it's all depend on Napoli how they will perform in coming season, specially after exit of their champion coach Luciano Spallett and having new coach Rudi Garcia who is coming from Saudi League and have big expectations about future.

But, here if they are able to keep their few big players then surely things could be into their favour because they need same momentum which was working in last season, and they give good performance and having amazing win right now situation is not clear about few players but as things are going most chances they will be able to keep their best players.

Currently, few things are pending, but hopefully all will be clear in coming days and things will be also settled who is going to compete for the title in coming season.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 14, 2023, 04:11:30 AM
Newcastle are going to be new around here after a really long break. They qualified for the Champions League in the 2003/04 season the last time. It must be times with Alan Shearer. Now they don't have one of the best squads in the EPL though. They have just consolidated the squad a little more after the sale of the team.

However this was still enough for them to make it to top 4. But to maintain this level they need to increase the squad quality more than this. Tonali has joined the team which I call a really good transfer to the area between defense and the centre of midfield. He can secure the defense area more as a solid defensive midfielder.

But there is still a need for more transfers if they aim to do some noteworthy things in the Champions League. It is important for the EPL and CL both of course.
But nobody expected them to do as well as they did in the Premier League last season and I find it a bit difficult to predict how much potential is still left to be used in the team they have and what kind of players they can sign during the transfer window that is still open for some time. I wouldn't underestimate them while at the same time not expect too much, but it is one of these teams that could be able to surprise us during the group stage. There have been underdogs in the past beating the favorites during the group stage and I wouldn't call Newcastle an underdog. They are something in between because they are not known very well yet.
Newcastle United is having tag of surprise package in last season because in presence of teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham they have fourth spot which is impressive now first time they are jumping into Champions League even have no high expectations, but things are looking good for them because they have target of going with long term planning and most chances if they have something positive this could be also good for them because now their main focus is still having place into top four in Premier League and it's never been easy with now many changes are happening and teams are increasing their potential for fighting hard in future.

If they reach into knock out stage this could be impressive for them because things are surely not good, but they have enough quality to do things as they need to have better end of next season as well.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 13, 2023, 12:04:25 PM
Well, things are definitely getting heated up as Elon's Twitter has or is in the process to file a lawsuit against Meta for launching a rival app called Threads.

This new app has already gotten more than 10million downloads and the count is climbing.

Perhaps this is really a sure sign that the said fight would happen. I doubt still, that the proposed fight has got anything to do with physical exchange of blows and aggressive punches.
It looks more like a chess board kinda move fight, with lawyers and a grand jury and the world markets, online/offline bet sites, including DEX, all paying attention to each of their next moves.
Lol, this was definitely expected to happen and I was predicting that someone will come up and develop a platform that will be an alternate to Twitter since Elon Musk has made Twitter totally different than what it used to be and a lot of people are not liking it, but I was definitely not aware that Mark Zuckerberg and his team are already working on something and they will soon release it, I thought another company might do it and it might take some time.

Well, whether the physical fight takes place or not, I'm pretty sure that Meta is going to win this war because Twitter is not the same anymore and people will definitely migrate from there to Threads and use it more often. Twitter had already lost a big chunk of its market value, now it's going to lose a very large audience.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 13, 2023, 03:54:58 AM
you can tell a person has sunken into his gambling vices if he has already done crimes like that grandpa who kidnapped a kid for ransom. it's probably not his first, he must have stolen lots before this like jewelry or so. it can be hard for this old dog to stop gambling as he is addicted. even in prison, he will still gamble that's for sure.

hard for someone to resist when he has money and can easily access a platform gamble. he doesn't just need community support but things to get busy about.
You are correct before committing such a henious crime this grandpa might have committed others which never came out in public. That is what chronic addicts do and since he was not caught previously he thought this time too he will walk away with this crime. Old man got overconfident and now will rot in jail for this crime.
Or maybe it was his first time and that is the reason why he got caught because he didn't know how things like these actually work and how he should do it, after all, kidnapping a kid, keeping him/her somewhere safe, and then making a ransom call and then collecting the money, all these things are not easy to do especially for someone who is already aged, though what he did is wrong but I believe he meant no harm for the kid, or maybe he could harm the kid if he was refused the money he asked for, we never know.

However, what we learn from this is that you shouldn't believe anyone at all these days because even the people who live with you might be doing something bad on your back and aren't letting you know by becoming sweet and loving and caring, the world has become a dangerous place.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a digital currency with higher security? on: July 12, 2023, 10:30:04 AM
Very simple. See investment rounds, who is the baker, a major investor in the project, where the project's token sale is held, which exchanges the project is traded on, its tokenomics, the roadmap, the developers' portfolio, and much more.

This is the best way to screen new projects if you really want to invest. If you want to play roulette, then just invest at random, in everything you see first Wink
Investment rounds? Where is it located at? I only remember games and rounds and investor-based games here in the forum. Looking at who is investing in the project is not enough. We might see a big investor but we shouldn't be happy and do the same thing because it might only be a whale or a part of the projects team whose goal is to manipulate the value of the coin.

Good thing, you gave other factors and we should also check them to have a better judgment of the project. Your response here seems the one the OP is looking for but I think its title is a little different. At first I thought he is looking for those privacy-based coins like Monero.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: July 12, 2023, 08:02:59 AM
Bitcoin always recovers. It's just a matter of time until it does but no one can tell you when or how because right now Bitcoin might fall under 30k in the next days as the support around 30k is getting lower and lower.

On the bright side , if we hold the 30k during the entire summer , we have big chances to actually hit 60k in early 2024 or just after the halv happens but I have a feeling that next pump will be different than the previous ones.

My prediction is BTC over 100k in 2025 and I'm sticking with it and also my prediction for this summer cycle is BTC falling under 30k and maybe even towards 25k but no lower than that.
Market conditions don't indicate that the price of Bitcoin will hit $60k in early 2024 because we are not yet out of the $30k zone and it will take some time for that to happen, we have seen it trying to break out multiple times, even touching $31.5k a couple of times but still no success or progress, so we are stuck in a loop where the price moves up and down only within the $30k area not going up nor coming down making everyone confused.

We don't have a lot of time left for this year to end, there are only about 4 and a half months until we reach 2024, and I don't see any signs of it breaking out of this position very quickly and even if it does, more chances are that it will go down first and then will start rallying up later on with more support.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 12, 2023, 04:56:49 AM
I'm not going to talk about their performance before the start of this season because we know Chelsea the last season had many famous and expensive players also they were in a situation where I thought they are on top of the table because of the bad performance of their coach the team lost motivation for the rest of the season and that's why Chelsea didn't get anything.

But none knows about the future of Chelsea in the next season with Pochettino.
Last season was a failure for Chelsea in every way. They spend a lot of money but fail in achieving it. And this season they are trying to fix it, they hope that Pochettino can really manage and get Chelsea back to their prime and rise from the slump last season. They have taken several steps, starting from changing coaches and buying several new players who are considered quite talented. And still hunting for several players to strengthen the squad on all fronts. However, will they experience the same problems later when the club is playing? This will be Pochettino's tough task later.
Right now, the best thing is just forgotten about past and think about future and Pochettino is doing right thing even too much pressure and hype as well but most chances all will be settled after the start of next season right now any prediction is not going to be perfect with his track record is also good, and he understands chemistry of players and English Premier League as well Chelsea already having few good numbers of top quality players which can give their best and things can turn into positive as well even they have worst end of last season but now many changes are happening which can bring positive changes and change of atmosphere is also good for the club hopefully now Todd Boehly will also support his new manager and will not interfere about things which he has done in the past.
74  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 12, 2023, 02:36:14 AM
already knew since months that stake.com was pure shit when i heard they ask for proof of income.. none of their fkn business. just dont bet on this site.. plain and simple
It's definitely not something they do for fun or they like to do, it's probably one of the requirements of the AML laws that they need to comply with. If they don't confirm the source of income of their gamblers, that would make it suspicious for the gamblers and there might be potential money launderers authorities can't accept that so they force these rules on the casinos that are regulated so that there is no money laundering in the casinos.

And, I don't think they ask for your proof of income at level 1 KYC verification but they ask for it for the highest level of KYC which mostly occurs because you either want to make a big deposit or withdrawal, or they might find some of your activities unusual and suspicious, that is when the highest level of KYC verification is triggered.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: July 11, 2023, 04:12:01 AM
Undoubtedly, Mauro Icardi is one of the finest strikers in Europe and I think deserves to play in a team that best fits his style of football.
With the decision of Paris Saint Germaine to sell Kylian Mbappe to the highest bidder this summer transfer window, I think Icardi will have more chances of becoming an important member of PSG squad. The player for sure knows which club is best for him but if I'm to say, I think playing in the French Ligue 1 for a club like PSG is better than permanently moving to Turkish league
Most chances we will have big changes in coming season with Galatasaray is going to lose their goal machine Icardi because right now as things are going most chances PSG will sell Kylian Mbappé, and then we will have Icardi and Neymar as their best options even someone also can join because they already have enough sources which will help them for having their required player, but this could be big lost for the Galatasaray specially when they are going to play Champions League.

Still first we have to wait for the final decision about Kylian Mbappé then we can talk about these right now Galatasaray needs to work on their way as how they will be suitable for having better results in coming season while they are going to defend their title in Turkish League and also having spot into Champions League which needs good performance from them as well.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 11, 2023, 03:16:19 AM
Welp! Looks like Warner is going to quit test cricket completely sometime soon since Marsh and Green are great all-rounders and he hasn't really been performing well in the current series.

He was amazing in tests before 2018, but his form has weakened since then. Hope he continues playing in other formats for a lot longer.
Now almost he is going to be 37 years old after this The Ashes series he needs to be announced from all formats specially after his performance in last IPL and now in this series he fails to give any impression which is surely big setback for him and his team already play more than 100 test matches in 12 years of his cricket with 8000+ runs and many good achievements wants to announce this after winning this The Ashes because most chances he will be not going to have his spot into World Cup spot after performance like this in last few months.

His ODI career is also having not good record but as I watch him in IPL there was feeling he will announce about his career but look like he is mentally not ready for this, but he needs to announce as soon as possible because many youngsters are already having good chance for filling this spot quickly in coming Australian season.

78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - how low will we go in 2023? on: July 10, 2023, 11:16:15 AM
It is unknown no one can pin point the exact price of btc from the start, no one knows how low it will go and no one knows how fast it will recover from dip.mostly btc is being affected buy some negative news that is why it drops beyond the limits, but if there are also a good news it will also recover very fast so i think we need to be more active on the different news.
Yes, of course no one knows for sure, but we can predict it with various aspects so that speculation arises and that will be done by everyone who trades or invests in Bitcoin.
If you look at the price movement of Bitcoin over the course of the year then I don't think we're ever going to go under 20k anymore, now there's a lot of pushing for this slow movement to move on the upswing, I'm sure of that.
Do you think that people expected the price of Bitcoin to go as low as $16k when it touched $69k? I don't think so, and what that proves? It proves that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, in general, are unpredictable and highly volatile, so we can't really be sure if Bitcoin will drop back to $20k or below or not because anything is possible when it comes to cryptocurrencies. A couple of bad news circulating in the market can cause great damage to the price.

I don't want any of that to happen, of course, because I also want the price to go up just like everyone else, but what I said is a fact and we should always think factually and consider all the outcomes instead of thinking about one and ignoring the second, that way, we can always be ready for both situations.
79  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want know on: July 10, 2023, 06:41:48 AM
To dismiss luck as irrelevant and declare poker purely a game of skill would be overstating the case. Both chance and skill are essential to the outcome of any game, including poker. While a more seasoned player has a statistical edge, the luck of the draw can always swing the game in another player's favour.

The analogy to chess is, well, not perfect. In a game of chess, all of your opponent's pieces and their prospective actions are completely visible to you, while in a game of poker, certain information is concealed from you. Because of this, bluffing becomes an essential part of the game of poker. Therefore, it is more of a subjective than objective comparison to say that poker is easier than chess.
I keep repeating the same thing whenever I see someone referring to Poker as a game of skill and not luck while in reality, it's a game of both luck and skills, how the hell would someone be able to win against someone who has flush having only a two of a kind in his hand? So, you might be a good player of Poker and you know bluffing and all other stuff that might give you an edge over newbies, you definitely need luck on your side in order to get good hands.

Almost every single card game is about the cards that you get and those cards are what determine the level of your luck at a particular time, if you are not getting good cards at a session, it simply means that your luck is not on your side and you are most likely going to lose more than win in that session.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: July 09, 2023, 01:31:54 PM
Scam, death both have in altcoins market so why you want investing altcoins?
My opinion buy dip and sold faster on some profits like to be best revenge for all altcoins investors!
What's your skills and opinion?
If we see the complete picture and not only the investments and risks, altcoins have played a great role in the global adoption level of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular, a lot of projects have spread so widely and introduced cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin to masses which greatly increased the adoption level, we all know that when someone comes to know about cryptocurrencies, it's not possible for them to not know about Bitcoin since it's the king.

So even if investments in altcoins can have great risks, they are always an important aspect of the cryptocurrency industry because Bitcoin would never be able to gain this much success if it was alone and there were no altcoins at all, it would reach this place someday but altcoins helped boost the adoption.
