So is Cloak truly 100% anonymous? Better than zk-SNARKS or other systems? So this could be used for honest-to-God money laundering and couldn't be traced?
If so, I could see this really attracting a lot of attention (for better or worse). I'm just curious as to what benefit someone would have over using the Enigma system vs using something built-in another system (like zk-SNARK, which should also be added to ETH soon).
Just to clarify, obviously I'm not condoning it. Just curious from an investment standpoint lol.

Cloak
You know, I actually invested in Cloak temporarily but then got back out. I'm still having trouble understanding where it fits in the market. Is the Enigma system really better than zk-SNARKS? I know there currently aren't any TRULY anonymous coins out there (all of them can be traced to an extent). If Enigma would allow true money laundering it would attract a ton of attention I'm sure (for good or bad).

Why do people invest into dogecoin? I have been asked that question many time, I believe that it is worth a thread. Let's get right into it right now.
First, it is ranked in the top 15 cryptocurrency. Secondly, it is so cheap that if it has a slight growth, you will make A LOT. Basically, right now it is not even worth $0.01. The potential in this coin is so huge.
Dogecoin has various use, but I wont list it.
This is my reasoning behind it anyway. As always, invest at your OWN risk.
Price has nothing to do with it. It's all about market cap. If DOGE had the potential to reach ETH's current market cap (EXTREMELY unlikely) you would make an 80x gain by buying into it right now. Don't count on that though lol (even if it did manage to reach that market cap in the future, ETH would outpace it by a large amount, making ETH the much smarter investment regardless). DOGE is popular because it was a silly altcoin based on a meme that came out in the altcoin dark ages (there were a TON of "shitcoins" that offered basically no improvement to BTC or LTC). A lot of people bought it for fun, and it actually skyrocketed making a lot of people a lot of money. Most people back then thought they missed the BTC boat and would never have a chance to be rich like those who bought into BTC early. It gave everyone hope in the altcoin community again and is still popular because of it. Does that mean it's still a smart investment? IMO, no. There are plenty of other projects with brighter futures and possibilities for more profit. I still think it deserves it's place on the top 100 chart due to its past though. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Most of the time it's really unpredictable. I've bought into a few altcoins and got burnt, pretty bad (basically lost everything on them, still hold them but they're worthless). I've also passed on a few projects (mainly because of getting burnt on those altcoins). One of them? Ethereum. Yeah, regret that but hindsight is 20/20 lol.

I think people are being a bit close-minded about the token price. Eventually you'll be able to trade BNC for nearly ANY other token (from BTC to random altcoins) on their platform. IF (big IF) everything works they way they describe it, there won't be a reason to use exchanges anymore (unless you're really into Trend Analysis). If BNC was only being traded against a few pairs on a few exchanges, yeah I could see very little ROI from it. But since it'll be traded against almost every other coin out there, I think there's still a chance for massive returns.
Just invest what you can afford to lose and see where it goes. It's risk vs reward, as always.

Yeah I was curious as to what happened with BitShares. I've always had an interest in DEX projects (NXT/Waves/BitShares/etc.) but none of them have really accomplished a truly DECENTRALIZED EXchange IMO. Usually when you see a project like this get pumped so massively/quickly with zero news, it's either due to insider-info or just a massive pump/dump. No way to really tell for those of us on the outside honestly. Just consider yourself lucky if you were a holder, and dump it now before they do IMO.

Tokes has insane return potential, but that's only if they actually deliver. Talking 1000x here.
DNotes is another, only expect around 100x if they take off though.
Plutus could pull off a 75x return if their PlutoDEX is successful. ERC20 token can be exchanged on the future Bancor (and therefore Status) platform increasing liquidity as well.
Those are my current long-shot bets.
Iconomi is going to be a useful platform, but the ICN token will only have modest returns (better to just keep ETH IMO). I plan on using ETH to follow some user-created funds there.
Bancor/Status/CoinDash are the ICOs I have my eye on currently. They're all going to be successful IMO.

Ethereum is making it hard to spread out my investments currently. Every time I think about putting 10% of my portfolio in a wildcard (something that may skyrocket for a nice return) I realize that by the time they take off, I may have made nearly the same (guaranteed) from just sticking with Ethereum lol.

Tokes has the chance to do a 1000x profit IF they actually deliver. If you have some spare change it wouldn't hurt to throw something at them on the off-chance they're successful IMO.
DNotes is another project that's undervalued and has a chance for a high profit (I'd guess it's possible for them to hit 90x if they deliver).
Plutus is another undervalued project. If their PlutusDEX takes off you could easily achieve a 75x return IMO. Upcoming projects (like Bancor) will make it much easier to liquidate the token as well (since Plutus currently lacks presence on the big exchanges).
As far as projects that are nearly guaranteed to turn a profit (however small), there are plenty. Iconomi come to mind (Waves as well, although I'm not sure I like their NXT roots). Bancor and Status have a bright future I think, hopefully they don't become too overvalued from their ICOs or profit will be limited. I have my eye on CoinDash as well (since they have a feature similar to Iconomi, where you can copy someone else's investments).

So, what wallet can I store these in? Are TKS ERC20 compatible (can be stored in an ETH wallet)? I've been burnt by storing on exchanges in the past so just wondering where I can put these.
|
|
|
Looks like someone dumped a ton of them last night. I bought in when I could (wanted to buy in at the very bottom but Liqui has such low volume that it took forever to close my desired position).
So, these are ERC20 tokens, right? So I can safely send them to my ETH Parity wallet without losing them?
EDIT: Yes, ERC20. Now in my Parity wallet.

So, since the price was up on this, I decided to check it out again. I had an account WAY back when this first got started. My account number was 665469134577085**** (censoring the last few just in case). However, when I download the client and attempt to login, it doesn't allow you to input that many digits. Am I missing something, or was the account system changed to use less digits (in which case, what's my new account number)?
You can check what is your new account id in new format by simply opening this in your browser: https://nxt.jelurida.com/nxt?=%2Fnxt&requestType=rsConvert&account=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXJust replace XXXX.. with your numerical account No. Anyway, you can login into your account with your passphrase, just click "key" in your login screen and enter your passphrase in the field. Thanks, that worked. Looks like I only have 100 NXT in my old account but it's neat to see it's still there lol.

Been following your funds and so far, good work! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Have you heard of CoinDash yet? From what I've read people would be able to follow you and pay (with you getting a cut) to copy your buy/sell calls. Sounds like it would accomplish the same thing as Iconomi. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they're both like once they're released.

So how do I transfer this from an exchange to a wallet like Parity? I've never actually tried to put a token into an ETH wallet. Do you just send it to the ETH address?

Well at least it's not just Stratis going down right now. Hopefully the Breeze wallet gets people excited again.

I don't think people understand how Market Cap works... Take people saying Ark for instance. Even if you give it Ethereum's $24,000,000,000 market cap and a price of $0.40 (half of what it currently is), you'd still only obtain a ~600x (6000%) increase. I say "only" because you have other coins that can still do much better than that at MUCH more reasonable market caps (lets face it, most coins aren't breaking the $1,000,000,000 barrier anytime soon). Look at Tokes. Even if you only give it a market cap of $1,000,000,000 with it's current price of $1.50, you get a return of ~1000x (10000%). Now, will Tokes ever make it to that market cap? Maybe (if they can deliver on their roadmap). I'd say it's way more likely than something like Ark reaching Ethereum's market cap. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) My longshot picks would be Tokes, Dnotes, CloakCoin, and ZenCash. They can get a 40x-90x return if they ever approach top 10 status (Tokes being the ridiculous 1000x dark horse), are all available on decent exchanges (Poloniex/Bittrex), and aren't completely useless/obscure. Etheroll is up there with Tokes (1000x) but honestly I'd see Tokes getting there first. Etheroll was a good proof-of-concept but it can't compete with the other gambling sites and suffers from still not being on a popular exchange. I'm not sure it has much of a future IMO.

There's already a thread started on this thats 12 pages in length.
Yeah, why start a new thread? I'm going to guess he's bought into it and is desperate for the price to raise so he can dump. It's usually obvious by how much market speak they use. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

So, from what I can tell I used to mine to earth.vircurpool.com back in the day. I'm assuming that's dead now and any EAC I had on there is lost forever, correct? It's been years since I've actually mined. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Most pools of back years are dead, its gone Yeah that's what I figured. I still have some EAC in my wallet but I'm hoping I actually remembered to pull everything off the pool before walking away. Thanks for the confirmation. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
