62  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S5 Speculation on: October 18, 2014, 07:03:02 AM
I'm waiting for the 10TH miners for $500 to come out.

What do you guys think, like a year from now?
Probably year and a half honestly with power/price has been.

i tend to agree.  i don't we will see a miner like that for some time.  the s2 didn't last very long on the market (bitmain site) at all,  people did not like the power hungry miner.  i hope manufacturers can master the efficiency, i would like to see 1 Th/s at 300 watts.

Previously there was some news saying some germany company come out with 1TH/s at 200 watts only... But they are still in development stage...
63  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mintpal gone, where to move? on: October 18, 2014, 07:01:13 AM
I was a Mintpal trader, now its probably gone. It was definitely the best one. Which site can work as good as Mintpal.
Please suggest me. I typed cryptsy but right now its down. How good is it?

I actually prefer bittrex. Seems like less down time too..

65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the 'best' coin to mine with CPUs? on: October 18, 2014, 06:56:34 AM
So no CPU or GPU mining possible profitably.

There are some CPU and GPU which is profitable but your electricity need to be dirt cheap...
'

Dirt cheap as in free.   CPU and GPU mining is for the nostalgic or college kids that have the university paying for electricity.  The mining industry has matured beyond CPUs and GPU.

I'm afraid you're right - its kind of scary isn't it?  Wasn't one of the key concepts of all crytpo-currency that everyone 'owns' it and was able to mine it?  That way there are 'millions' of peers rather then a few big 'monopolies' that 'controlling' the currency.  Everyday it seems like there are fewer and fewer (bitcoin) miners and most other currencies are following suit...  Is a crypto-world safe with only a few dozen 'big' miners?  I've been pondering it for quite awhile...

The decentralisation was one of the main objectives of crypto coins.
But now its already centralised, in some months it will become a completely centralised one.

But it will remain decentralize for algo that is anti-asic. Hopefully darkcoin would have asic so quick...

PS3 would suck in mining now

True mining BTC with a PS3 would suck right now, maybe mining a profitable CPU coin would be better.  Tongue

Can ps3 even mine CPU coin?

Its fun to play in the beginning but it gets bored after awhile. Prefer games like starcraft 2 more Smiley

77  Economy / Economics / Re: How profitable is BTC daytrading? on: September 05, 2014, 01:23:14 PM
I am using Bitcoin for a while now to get paid and to pay but I never have any day-traded neither did I mined any.I just love the holding game.I see many people engaged in trading on btc-e website.

I have some Bitcoins, which are already on Btc-e and also some amount of Litecoins as well as some other altcoins.

I would love to hear some expert suggestions on day trading.I know it's risky but I can afford to loose some of cryptos if in case anything goes wrong.Just a line of some clues and brief explanation on this topic is what I expect from you folks.

Hope this is the correct section to start this discussion.

Regards.

Day-trader is risky, if suddenly the market crash then you are in bad shape..

When are people going to understand that once you give your private pictures to a third party, they are no longer private.

Stupidity is strong with this one.

Except they weren't aware that their photos were being automatically synced to the cloud.

Well, taking photo is dangerous enough. What if someone stole your phone?
