61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - stablecoin.net on: November 30, 2013, 08:22:20 PM
so 6.6m out already and 145m total?

right. And its taking me hours to mine 10 coins in a pool.

How many coins do people have in hand on average?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: November 30, 2013, 08:19:31 PM
the fix is a few posts up....
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - stablecoin.net on: November 30, 2013, 06:10:10 PM
any pools that pay per share not per block? for non hardcore mining... its quite easy to miss a block and just do empty work for hours.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BET] BETACOIN - SHA256 COIN | POW | 32mln + 0,39% annual | NO PREMINE on: November 30, 2013, 05:48:04 PM
Just a bit sad that i found it a little bit too late - after the difficulty went up alot (16000 blocks) - which means that im not really making much with 300khs. And wit hthe release announcement coming.. its going to go way up when asic farms jump on it.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betacoin on: November 30, 2013, 05:45:55 PM
unfortunately you seem to forget that... you cant earn bitcoins anymore by mining.. unless you have hardware from years ago or get new stuff months before others and mien at 1THs... else you wont even get ROI.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - stablecoin.net on: November 30, 2013, 05:30:25 PM
thats most likely cuz it seems to be the only working pool.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - 2% stake power! - Now with Dynamically Loadable Wallets on: November 30, 2013, 04:11:39 PM
no working block explorer?
hobo.gets-it.net simply times out and never loads.
68  Bitcoin / Mining support / Calculate block mining time solo? on: November 30, 2013, 03:48:44 PM
so how would you use the difficulty value/hash rate to calculate the  average time to find a block?

cgminer.

For example it says:
Diff : 3.5k

Then how would you use hashrate to figure out how hard/pointless would that really be?
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: November 30, 2013, 01:40:40 PM
ether you mined in the corrupt blockchain, or you are on a corrupt blockchain right now.

Anyways - is solo mining at lower speeds possible anymore?
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - stablecoin.net on: November 30, 2013, 11:40:25 AM
any pools that actually work?
coinbase one has a total poo lhashrate of 9mhs -_- lol
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BET] BETACOIN - SHA256 COIN | POW | 32mln + 0,39% annual | NO PREMINE on: November 30, 2013, 11:27:24 AM
so with difficulty at 5000+ (guess a few high powered gpu rigs?) whats the average time per block for solo at.. lets say 1GHS?
72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitcoinForSale.net + Bitcoin mining contracts only $10 per 1 GH/s. on: November 30, 2013, 12:04:41 AM
about the batch 2 - wil lthe orders be available up until january or closed before at a certain date.

Im reluctant to buy anything over 2 months ahead - specially with the upcoming new generation of  THS asics.
The difficulty could quadruple by january.

Also  what kind of money back guarantees are there (in case service stops before 12 months).
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: November 29, 2013, 10:52:22 PM
there is a thread at their forums and twitter how to fix the blockchain for now.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fall of coins with asics? on: November 29, 2013, 10:08:33 PM
small miners ARE kicked out.

your "pocket change" usb miners are 60$+ that will take  6-12 months to break even.

Everyone is forced into pools or own massive asic hardware. This is centralized.

At least you can still somewhat mine altcoins at home, without 5000$+ hardware - and it is possible with small pools or none at all.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BET] BETACOIN - SHA256 COIN | POW | 32mln + 0,39% annual | NO PREMINE on: November 29, 2013, 09:57:38 PM
So  it barely started and difficulty is nearly 6000?

Guess solo mining without a 500ghs asic is out of the question already Sad

Betacoin related topic with some news or ideas +10 BET

A post here counts - or do i need to spam the forum with a new thread?

One thing i see most coins lack is... hashrate cap for a pool/solo - it would promote decentralization and avoid 51% attacks etc.
If there is a cap at one point (like 1THS?) - then it would promote multipel smaller pools and larger number of smaller miners. Therefor helping the  coin to actuall ystay decentralized.

Betacoin services up to 10000 BET - would but no idea what you mean by that lol
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fall of coins with asics? on: November 29, 2013, 09:07:33 PM
Thats the massive failure of all crypto currencies - centralized high power ASIC mining.

The whole decentralized part is a failure.
Those with most hardware and money get the most.

The scene needs a new type of coin that - perhaps hardcaps the maximum mining speed it works with. Which means no pooled mining or billionhash asic mining rigs - so it  spreads out everywhere.

Feel kind of bad tho... got into it way too late.. the block rate and difficulty is just so bad now compared ot hwat it was months ago.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: November 29, 2013, 06:57:05 PM
so is it currently safe to mine or is it still messed up and id just waste my time with corrupted chains.

EDIT:

On  the sidenote... i guess its poitnless  to actuall ystart minign this now?

I just read and found out that the coin threw out MILLIONS in the beginning - now being down to mere thousands. I dotn see how this can be profitable if  large number of people hold tens millions of it( while i would have to spend  a years to get even close to that) - they control the market.
80  Other / Beginners & Help / bfgminer wont detect GPU? on: November 29, 2013, 04:33:09 PM
so thought to check it out instead of cgminer - but when i start it up i get hashrate in bytes - or basically 0.
Device Manager shows no devices aswell - does the bat file need some special commands for gpu?

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.ltcrabbit.com:3333 -u x.max -p 1212 -o stratum+tcp://us.ltcrabbit.com:3333 -u x.max -p 1212 -I 13
