Are there any news?

Seen some info on Bitmain's Twitter feed that they are in Bangkok for their own event, on their website, they are out of the office until the 26th January, so maybe that is why?

This really looks like another SCAM site.

  • Site is not optimized for Google Chrome (had to Copy/Paste the content to Word to even be able to view it)
  • Terms & Conditions - Company in Poland, Governing Law is the Law of the Netherlands and in a different font design then the rest of the site.
  • Every type of unit is in Stock

If you want to succeed here in this forum, you should offer payment option in Escrow.

With all the scammers around this forum, everybody needs to be vigilante, have their guard up. If it smells, it's probably rotten.

These scumbags are crawling around here, trying every trick and playing everybody for their hard-earned money = VULTURES.

4- We spent countless hours this week talking to and meeting with escrow companies and lawyer offices. We still don't have a good solution for that. Again, if anybody knows an escrow company that is willing to collect the payments and send it to bitmain, please introduce me to them. Otherwise the entity that will collect the payments will be Nemo Power Tools Limited (www.NemoPowerTools.com).

I don't have any issues with this
68  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: reinvesting, hashflare on: January 13, 2018, 10:33:00 AM
Doesn't anyone have a positive experience with Hashflare in this forum? Are only actual hardcore ASIC or GPU miners present?

I think, in front of anything, there are two things you need to do:
Invest enough, so you can cash out quickly and gain profits afterwards OR invest a moderate amount, reinvest to gather more hash power, have a later but overall quicker ROI and than have an interesting profit in the end.

Small investments won't get you interesting turnarounds. Quick cash ins won't get you an interesting profit.

I am personally running an experiment with 15k and around 70 TH, reinvest and gather up more hash. When I reach a certain amount of hash power, I change my strategy. A year contract is adequate I think.

Hash power desintegrates/looses it's profitability with growing algorithm difficultiy, uncertain bitcoin price and all possible volatility aspects.

Cryptocurrency is a very fluctuating and uncertain investment to begin with. Don't invest anything you cannot afford to loose.
69  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: reinvesting, hashflare on: January 11, 2018, 03:56:34 PM
I think with 4,7 TH no magic will happen on your account and earnings.

Be sure you are re-investing. There are different strategies to use when investing into Hashflare.
The longterm predictions are off, but there are spreadsheets with current data and exchange rates, that you can input and get a more accurate prediction.

I am at around 70 TH and reinvesting and accumulating more hash power. At this level, the hash power is increasing by nearly 1 TH every day and the payout is increasing aswell.

Will see how it pans out.

Good luck

@Dragospd

Hello, you can input CN as the origin and also the county where the units will be shipped from.

No difference in the percentage, still 0%

Escrow process

There are several aspects of the Escrow process that are unclear to me, Nimo. I know you are currently searching for a suitable escrow provider, so you still have enough time to set everything up correctly.

I came into contact with escrow.com, about a different issue, but they seem to be very flexible and eager to get their hands on an accompanying fee, of course Wink

Please let me know how YOU imagine the escrow process stages will happen.

What I imagine:

1. You send out invoices under your LLC inviting everyone to sign in (to an escrow) as a buyer, with you as the sole seller.
2. The escrow will collect into their account according to your issued invoices, in a set timeframe.

(I got in touch with escrow.com about the issue - how long can an escrow operation stay open. Their answer was for 3 years, afterwards, they will charge some extra fees.)

3. You check if all the amounts were paid in full.

... but then what???

The options on a typical escrow are to hold the funds until the buyers receives the goods. Then there is a set of options that can follow, release the funds to you when:
a) shipping documents (of DHL, or which ever courier) are transfered to the escrow
b) the buyer receives the goods and has a certain amount of time to inturn inform the escrow that everything in order and they then release the funds to you.

I also imagine, that you won't fork out 2500x700 units out of your own pocket just waiting for the the payments to arrive (or not to arrive).

I also guess there will be some duds or bad units inside the batch, that will fail during testing, etc., and you could thereby get stuck dealing with a) some returns and b) declined (unreleased) funds by the escrow.

Am not sure if you thought this whole thing through. Or maybe you have and are simply waiting what the escrow says and how we, as a group will than react to the news.

take care

If anyone is concerned about the EU import tax with customs authorities in (NOT VAT), I sent an email to the general customs department in Prague, requiring the correct import designation code (as what type of goods the miners are supposed to be presented to the customs authority) and the amount in % the EU authorities will ask.

I have an update about this topic.

I have an official statement in hand that states, that the Antminers should be designated under the code HS 8471490000.

Which basically means:
=================
Automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, not elsewhere specified or included
- Other automatic data-processing machines
- - Other, presented in the form of systems

The tax duty in EU is 0%.

Can send the statement to anyone, is in Czech language, though. But I am sure you won't have any issues with the customs department, if you label the miners under the HS code stated above.

Don't forget, you need the certification and import declaration for the PSU as well, incl. their CE & FCC certificates.

Lol Bitmain

Today's flash sale took like 3-4 minutes. What's really mean, is they give like 1 hour notice +8 hours GMT difference  Grin

Edit: Even offered bank wire transfer in USD as a payment method  Shocked
74  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Just got off the phone with Bitmain re next batch of S9 on: January 08, 2018, 06:50:22 PM
@Nimo

It would be most practical to ask Bitmain, if the warranty is transferable. If you issue invoices through your LLC in the US to each and every member that signed up for this group buy, how will we get any warranty from Bitmain, if you are their customer? How will I prove to Bitmain, that I bought the units from you and that they should help me out if there are any issues with the Antminers?

As for the actuall warranty, remember, that they state 180 days (I believe) from the day the package has been transfered to the (*first) shipping company. So the point being, the actuall warranty period will have like 150 days.

Thanks

For me it's important to have the transport covered as much as possible.

First search result on Google:

https://www.tiptrans.com/package-forwarding

This is actually very useful.

First shipping comparison made out DHL as the cheapest solution by far (compared to FedEx and UPS). I think Nimo mentioned UPS in his posts.

@Nimo
I know it's still a bit early, but would your ground personnel in HK (or wherever you will be shipping from in the end) mind to get estimates from the major logistics companies? Including shipping, tracking and insurance.

As each S9 unit weights 5,5 Kg and the PSU is 3 Kg, we can round it up to 9 Kg incl. packaging. So with all the above mentioned companies, it will be handled as a heavy parcel.

An estimate per each 10 Kg would be useful, so everyone can calculate their expences upfront.

@Miner-Store

As you specify on your product description (Antminer T9), as I am dealing with a similar situation, are there really any customs fees when importing Antminers to EU?
If correct customs designation code for electronics from China, than 0% customs fees in EU should apply. Can you confirm? I am only writting about customs fees, not taxes.

Thank you

iohen> What's the VAT in CZ?

I'm thinking it would be interested to ship a batch into one low-VAT country, and then dispatch to EU buyers.

The VAT is 21%, not a low VAT country.

If everything is supposed to be transparent and correct, and also importing through official channels, there is no way around the EU taxation.

Nevertheless, I would like to join up in your venture. The relationship between businesses in the EU (both must be VAT registered) is tax free. Get in touch with me through PM or my email iohen@seznam.cz and we can discuss some details about your plans.

Take care

For anyone interested to follow it up, this is the EU customs index and the suggested designation code, found it in English as well  Wink

But as I said in my last post, will confirm if it is correct

As I already did my search in the customs index and the miners - being basically an integrated electronics cirtuit, with operation memory, processors, etc. can be applied the designation code 8542311100, which does not require any customs tax at all (coming from China). But will confirm as soon as I get an answer.

I know there are guys from Poland, which should be the same as here in Czech Republic, am not sure how it is in the UK and US. Anyone can pitch in and leave their own experience, so everyone is prepared when the letter comes, that your miners have been confiscated and that the customs office needs explanations and some paperwork.

This is the link to the certificates for the Antminer S9. For EU, the CE and FCC certificates might be needed. So have them ready to make the process at the customs office as smooth as possible.
