61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How we know scam altcoin project on: January 21, 2019, 05:15:20 AM
Good article from an established project on this topic: https://medium.com/sylo-io/a-disrupter-in-a-disruptive-industry-c1ac61ca15fc?source=collection_home---2------3---------------------
62  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do Huawei Phones pose a risk to BTC User's Privacy & Security? on: January 21, 2019, 05:11:11 AM
If you're communicating on Huawei phones, would use a confidential communication app as opposed to the default SMS app due to privacy concerns. Telegram, Sylo, Signal, WhatsApp(?) are good options.
63  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you think about electric cars? on: January 21, 2019, 05:08:51 AM
I don't know its good or not cause this cars are more smart, but cars on gasoline are more faster, so what do you think about this? Undecided

Huh? off the line electric cars are significantly faster than ICE cars
64  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain friendly countries? on: January 21, 2019, 05:06:36 AM
New Zealand is one, there's some good projects from NZ that are advising the government.

Here's a good post:

https://old.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/agw59i/blockchain_friendly_countries/

Sylo, Centrality etc are discussed there.

Read this, a good insight into this problem from a project that's already completed their ICO.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: January 21, 2019, 05:01:35 AM
ETH will probably overtake BTC at somepoint provided the crypto ecosystem continues to grow.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TGE][AIRDROP] Sylo - decentralised communication network and ecosystem on: January 21, 2019, 04:57:38 AM
I've seen Sylo being presented at World Blockchain Summit 2018 and the cofounder Dorian was talking about its features and future plans. Glad to see they have progressed a lot in that direction and have an application already out in the market. Will be following you guys on Telegram to keep myself updated on the project.

Are you talking about this one?

Where can I buy Sylo token?

It's not listed on exchanges yet.

Oh, I thought it was. Any plans on when it will be listed?

As said on their telegram channel, exchange listing will start 6-8 weeks after they finish their private sale.

Thanks, I guess I need to join that group to keep myself updated.

They have two telegram channels. One for discussion, one for announcements.

70  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Social Media is cancer on: January 14, 2019, 12:28:31 AM
The biggest is problem is the governance that the networks have over your data. Taking it and then doing whatever the like with it. Projects like Sylo (check my post history) have a goal and an already working product to help take back our dependence on the main networks.
71  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Storing data in bitcoin blockchain on: January 14, 2019, 12:26:10 AM
Why bitcoin specifically? You can use the ETH blockchain for this. Projects are already utilizing it.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TGE][AIRDROP] Sylo - decentralised communication network and ecosystem on: January 14, 2019, 12:15:16 AM
What will be the difference between Sylo and Whatsapp for example, I do get the decentralization up to a point, is it safer?
It's safer and better for your privacy, as only you and the person you're chatting with will have access to your messages.
73  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Cash is king on: January 11, 2019, 03:48:34 AM
Are you hoarding physical cash, or in bank/other means?

If so I'm curious about your risk tolerance for bank failures. Here, at least they're not government backed and you can lose the money.
74  Other / Serious discussion / Re: The Revolution in France & Europe on: January 11, 2019, 03:43:47 AM
I have already read it and replied, then posted it in local French... which redirected me here because the discussion is more serious.

Nothing is official in these claims. Thus no political party can take it on its own.

Only the RIC is unanimous (and the purchasing power).

Look what they're doing to us, 1mn video :

Edit : @kenzawak already have summary it :

(~)
-The yellow vests are of course asking for more money but also for the right to interfere in the big decisions made by the State. They want what we call the RIC (if you get a petition signed by more than 700 000 people, a referendum has to be held). They also want Macron to resign but that will never happen.
-Macron made a speech this week saying he would raise household purchasing powers but those measures are bullshit (all economists say so), completely fake and only here to try to calm people down and divide them.

One last thing, do not believe everything you hear in the French media. Most of them are controlled by "supporters" of Macron.
Thanks for sharing the video. I know that most of Europe is pretty socialist. Does that include Macron? How about the people rioting?
75  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Be careful, Google knows more about you than you can imagine! on: January 11, 2019, 03:42:06 AM
Decentralization and privacy are king. Projects like Monero, Sylo, ZenCash etc will help reclaim aspects of our privacy back. A good alternative to Google is DuckDuckGo.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: You will be able, slowly, to pay one bitcoin for 25000 pizza. Any other opinion? on: January 09, 2019, 04:57:47 AM
If one pizza is $5 then that would make BTC worth $125000. One can hope.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TGE][AIRDROP] Sylo - decentralised communication network and ecosystem on: January 08, 2019, 11:03:12 PM
I tried the application and I'm pretty impressed with what Sylo team has created. Of course it's not the full version so will be waiting for it.
Well it kinda is the full version of the current app. The current one is a full functional partially decentralized comms app, the upcoming DApp is fully decentralized with more features.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Are Selling off Their Crypto on: January 07, 2019, 10:34:11 PM
You know that traders buy and sell at every price level right?

If they bought at ETH at $80 and sold at $160 this week, that's a 100% return. Same as if they bought at $700 and sold at $1400.
