61  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] OrangeBits - Faucet and unique faucet rotator on: November 22, 2015, 12:26:34 PM
Over 20 new confirmed faucets and other sites added to the rotator! Please come with suggestions if you know good faucets currently not in the list.
62  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] OrangeBits - Faucet and unique faucet rotator on: November 22, 2015, 10:07:15 AM
the only faucet, have a low rewards, 250 satoshi every 480 minutes is too low

the rotator is a good idea, i see all info to all faucet (payment, minimum, and the auto countdown for next claim)

I increased the faucet payout to 850 on average every 300 minutes instead, with a 25% referral comission. However, I'm not sure how long I can afford that reward, so I might be forced to decrease it a bit later on.
63  Economy / Micro Earnings / [ANN] OrangeBits - Faucet and unique faucet rotator on: November 21, 2015, 09:40:28 PM

OrangeBits is a newly launched website that offers both a custom faucet rotator and a faucet. I welcome both suggestions and criticism, and if you want your faucet added to the rotator you can just reply to this topic.

OrangeBits Faucet Rotator
http://orangebits.co

Features
  • No signup required and very straight forward interface
  • Many faucets and other sites to earn free bitcoins and litecoins (currently over 60 sites listed)
  • The websites are sorted in four easily navigatable menus (one for normal bitcoin faucets, one for litecoin faucets, one for PTC sites and one for other sites)
  • Timers to see when it is time to view the websites again
  • You are able to see all the websites and choose which ones you want to visit, instead of having to go through every one
  • You can easily see which faucets/websites that are the most profitable (the further up in each category, the more it pays. You can also see how much they pay when you hover over them)
  • Settings (you can turn off the ads, the timers and also use some simple filters to only show sites that pays at least a specific amount)
  • Ability to save your Bitcoin and Litecoin address and then you can easily press "Copy" in the upper right corner to copy the respective address.
  • Export and import your settings over any device!
  • And at last, also a blacklist so you don't have to see the websites you don't like

OrangeBits Faucet
http://orangebits.co/faucet/

This faucet uses FaucetBOX script, and currently gives 1050 satoshis on average every 600 minutes, with a 25% referral commission.

The faucet will never have popup ads, more than five ads or annoying extra anti bot features.

Damn, i've thought i sent RDD to a RED address on Cryptsy. Is is even possible to send to non existent address? It is very easy to confuse them on the current balance page on Cryptsy.  Undecided

You should be extra carefull when sending and receiving crypto coins, cut paste can anytime go wired.
RED and RDD are very confusing too. But if the REDcoin address you used to transfer your REDDcoin is
not a valid REDDcoin address, then you have a chance to recover the already sent coins.
Thats only possible if you sent the REDDcoins from your qt wallet.
Recovering the coins from an online REDDcoin wallet or from any Exchange is not possible.
To recover, delete all the files from your Reddcoin home folder except the wallet.dat file.
Then, re-sync the blockchain(qt wallet). Your reddcoin will be back.
Normally it will take some days to get back your coin. Try your luck now.
Before doing anything don't forget to backup your wallet.dat
/Recovering the coins from an online REDDcoin wallet or from any Exchange is not possible./
Is possible.
If exchange provide private key of wrong wallet..

Its about recovering from own wallet.

I'm quite certain RDD and RED uses the same algorithm for generating addresses. In that case, the RDD actually got sent to the address, but Cryptsy would be able to recover it by exporting the private key of the RED address and then importing it to a RDD wallet.

What is the config for reddcoin qt called? (is it in appdata?) I'm trying to stake and I cannot find it.

%appdata%\Reddcoin\Reddcoin.conf

If it doesn't exist, create it. If you aren't on the testnet, you can't stake.

Anyone know why the bittrex wallet is disabled? thanks

Check the Bittrex twitter, it won't let me post the link. But this is all they've said:

Quote
#RDD There was a blockchain anomaly that triggered an auto-shutdown of the wallet and market.  We're investigating.
I hope my rdd is safe.........................................................

If you have them in your local wallet on a clean computer, and not on any web wallets or in any transactions, I can pretty much guarantee you they are safe. If they are in a transaction, they should also be safe unless we're 51% attacked (which might happen more times before we switch to PoSV).

What's the prediction for RDD price after PoSV release?

I'd say in the very best case scenario, maybe 200-300 satoshis, although probably less (my guess would be 10-50 satoshis, maybe with a sudden rise in the beginning). 1000-5000 satoshis would mean a market cap of very roughly $300 million, which is more than LTC and about 1/30 of BTC. If Reddcoin succeeds and actually gets used for tipping by the masses, that amount would be possible, but not in a near future.

Don't get me wrong, I love Reddcoin and I've been a supporter for months, but I prefer being realistic than giving people false hopes or expectations. Never invest in something you don't understand simply because people promise you it'll rise in value. Never invest more than you can lose. Make your own decisions. This is common sense imo.

With that said, I recommend telling people about Reddcoin and recommending them to check it out and learn about it, but don't promise them a rise because it sure as hell ain't guarranteed.

I second this, it's exactly what I'm expecting. I'm also a supporter and miner since the beginning, but we've gotta be realist Smiley

But if look at DOGE, which I hate to do because it was a bit of a phenomenon, it hit 300+ many times (I am not going to count the few times it pumped to 800+ because that was just... out of the ordinary...) and DOGE has nearly 4x the supply *if someone tries to tell me supply doesn;lt mean anything like last time I will say you are full of it...) So I think 200 Sats for REDDcoin is very realistic. Even with pumps into the 1,000's. Regardless, now is the time to get in if you want to exponentially increase your investment.

Dogecoin reached out to a lot more people than Reddcoin has done (although the same reason they gained quick support was one of the reasons they fell). And Reddcoin's relatively fair distribution contributes to holding our price down.
If Cryptos take off, like you say, Bitcoin's price will rise a lot too, which also means Reddcoin will be worth less satoshis (and more USD).

In the very best case scenario, I think 1,000 sats would be possible in 1-2 years (if the BTC price stays the same, which it won't). But that is if everything works out perfectly, which it seldomly does, especially when we aren't the only ones who wants the tipping market.

70  Economy / Service Discussion / Is there any way to buy Paysafecards with Bitcoin? on: June 16, 2014, 02:58:31 AM
I would like to purchase stuff in different games using Bitcoin, but unfortunately none of them directly supports it. But because paying with Bitcoin is more convenient for me than paying with fiat is, I would like to ask if there are any ways I could buy a Paysafecard online using Bitcoin? The only service I've heard about is Paysafecoin, but their fees are waaay to large (50%).
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin - The Social Currency! New algorithm Proof-of-Stake-Velocity on: May 30, 2014, 10:51:26 AM
I send coins to cryptsy and its at 720 confirmations
and still have not cleared
anybody knows why ?
is this part of the bigger problem for cryptsy/RDD market ?

The Reddcoin dev team asked Cryptsy to ingrease the amount of confirmations required for RDD deposits to 999, to make 51% attacks/double soends much harder.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin - The Social Currency! New algorithm Proof-of-Stake-Velocity on: May 30, 2014, 12:11:25 AM
Whoever performed an attack on reddcoin (or any shitcoin for that matter) has my gratitude.

Whoever performed an attack on reddcoin was rather unsuccessful, and only did the attack because of Reddcoin's large trading volume in relation to its relatively low hashrate for personal win (trying to scam Cryptsy). I am quite certain he did not do so because of his opinions about this coin. This attack only proves that the Reddcoin has received attention on Cryptsy, and that the Reddcoin team has what it takes to mitigate 51% attacks.

I have a strange problem that i need help with.

I accidentally gave a address for Red coin when a buddy of mine sent me some RDD, stupid mistake Roll Eyes but the scary part is that the transaction went through and now it is stuck.

when i check the output at http://cryptexplorer.com it says "Not yet redeemed   amount  2166421.6393503"

Anyone that has encountered a problem of this sort?

Your coins aren't lost. You can use the same private key you used for the Redcoin address to get access to the same Reddcoin address, I think. I don't know the details about how to do it, though.

EDIT:

How to export private keys
How to import private keys

Should be pretty much the same for Redcoin/Reddcoin

I do not guarrantee success, but it's worth a try

Anything not based on the metric system will fail.  The entire world (except the US) is on the metric system.

"centi" (c) is 1/100 or cBTC
"milli" (m) is 1/1000 or mBTC

0.01 btc is one centibit.  Easy!

Going over to bits doesn't mean we abandon the metric system. Instead, we could say "kilobits" (=mBTC) and "megabits" (=BTC). I agree about switching to bits, but I really think it should be called something else to avoid confusion (could, for example, be used for people scamming less educated people since 1 bitcoin and 1 bit sounds very similar). I have seen many other suggestions, and all of them are better than bits imo.

Any information about the 5% premine that now just got bumped up to ~20%?

This is crucial and needs to be addressed.. it will scare people off from buying reddcoins.

At least the developers doesn't hold the RDD, it was/is being distributed rather fairly to the IPO investers. It would be a whole other story if all of the premine was controlled by a single entity.

Found a new faucet with high payouts: http://faucet.bitcoinzebra.com/

I have received two payouts from them. Tx of their three payouts so far (once every sunday):

Can't wait for this coin to explode and reach the moon. Patience is a virtue.

Doesn't seem like it's gonna happen somewhere soon. I don't understand those people who set huge sell walls for minimum price. Redd could cost at least 20 satoshi at this point if major holders play smart instead of dumb.

THIS!!! Why leave those huge sell walls on the market? It's like people are trying to hold the price down. WTF?

They probably earn money by holding the price down (for example, if they buy at 4 and sell at 5 they earn lots of money). Either way, we should be working on creating value instead of just pumping the coin. Try to get people to use the coin the way it's supposed to be used or try to improve the infrastructure around the coin.

Thoughts and Ideas faucet has no balance to cover the cash out. (http://faucet.thoughtsandideas.info/)

It says that it has the balance:

Code:
Server Balance: 64,614 satoshis

but attempt to cash out fails with

Code:
The site does not have enough coins to pay out! No balance deducted.

Edit: forgot to say, I cashed out a couple of days ago without a hitch. A friend of mine was not so lucky today.

I tried to cash out there some weeks ago, but I never got the payment even though my balance was set to 0.
