61  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: November 28, 2013, 03:27:38 AM
What about use OKPAY to fund btc-e? I think that 2% fee worth the money considering all the troubles you are talking about. Or there is also troubles funding with OKPAY?

condemor, the problem is not funding BTC-e, they will get your money if you wire it to them.

The problems arise once BTC-e actually HAS your money-
they do not acknowledge that they have received your deposit nor do they credit your account.

When you start an inquiry,
they act as if the problem is somewhere in transit,
some other bank and ask for the SWIFT record etc.

Then they tell you to pay an additional fee to the bank from which your transaction originated, known as a tracer,
so you can determine just where the transaction is held up.

BUT BTC-e HAS YOUR MONEY!

This is happening to a lot of people.
Do not send BTC-e any money!!
read these forums, there are a lot of people who cannot get their money credited to their accounts
once they have wired it to BTC-e. There is a reason BTC-e is so much less expensive, and that reason
is that they have a bunch of people's money for which they deliver nothing.

When you pay the higher price at gox ( historically not w/out problems ) or coinbase ( knocked for being 'pricey' ) you are paying
for TRUST.

You are still relatively early in what is to come, with luck. So paying a premium for a modicum of trust ( and the difference is quickly wiped away at
the rate the altcoins' values are increasing ) is an insurance I WISH I HAD REALIZED.

Sorry you have given them your money.

read this thread, for just one:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40889.1360

when you reach the point where you think you should *DO* something,
consider entering your loss calculation here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=33012

which may or may not have any effect. but what can you do?

also consider requesting a wire trace with your bank as I have done.

BTC-e is a scam. Look back through time, figure out that they have done this before,
that we got taken and do what you can to keep others from sending them new money.
There is a reason they are the lowest on the web - they are subsidizing those rates
with your money.

yes cartof,
pay for a trace, it will cost you some 15 euros or so.
At least you will see that BTC-e has received it, is sitting on it, and answers such requests, if at all, with a response such as the one you posted.

Figure out how much coin you would likely have had
had BTC-e acted responsibly and lower their trust accordingly.

Also, more activity, SWIFT trace-wise, may alert DeutcheBank to the fact that their account holder is
not acting properly. Who knows what can happen, I understand the Germans have recognized BTc as
a legitimate form of currency. Perhaps some sort of push-back will develop. Can only hope.

and another thing- if they contact you HERE, on the forum, and ask for your ticket number, consider NOT GIVING IT -
They will be able to just take care of a few unhappy souls, here and there,
and those few may report that their troubles with BTC-e are over etc.
allowing BTC-e to appear somewhat responsible.

Recommend keeping your details between yourself and BTC-e support and working together here to
lower their odds of receiving new money.

you all are being attracted by them because they have more currency pairs to trade that most sites. Most honest in europe seems to be bitstamp. but there might be a reason why you would like btc-e, because they have the cheapest bitcoin on whole web.

There is much truth to this.
We are all at the point where we need to be lowering their trustworthiness.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=33012

do the right thing, mark them as 'untrustworthy', they have taken your money.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the fastest way to deposit money to buy bitcoins? on: November 27, 2013, 05:49:08 PM
The barriers to entry are still high, definitely easier to receive coins than to purchase them.
I have taken several routes and Coinbase has performed as advertised,
generation of coins via a pool is working sloooowly
and BTC-e has apparently stolen my ( and quite a few other peoples' ) money.
DO NOT send money to BTC-e, they are thieves, check the amount of 'btc-e' and 'fraud' and
'stolen' and whatnot in these forums.

I made an instant transfer (first via wire) - still waiting after 4 working days, I deposited 7979.00 USD.  I confirmed with their banking organisation that they work with (Mayzus) that it's there and in their account.

Has anyone managed to get money into BTC-e through OKPAY?

I have been waiting 3 weeks for BTC-E to act responsibly with my money, also deposited via a wire transfer.
They are scammers and we must warn others against doing business with them.
BTC-E is a FRAUD of the sort crypto-currencies will put an end to.
Just because bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme doesn't mean BTC-e is not Ponzi scheme.
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e Bot development on: November 27, 2013, 03:22:42 AM
Well I'd be interested in this if it was a different site instead of btc-e

ya, btc-e is not honest.
Do not send them any money, there is a reason they are consistently the lowest priced exchange-
because doing business with them is a crapshoot and they are going to lock you out of your funds and
use them for their own gain.
I do I hope that your Bot development goes smoothly for you
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e funding on: November 26, 2013, 11:38:36 PM
yes, and no one seems to know exactly what has happened to their USD sent to BTC-e.
My advice, and I am currently being burned by them, is not to do business with them in any way.

I sent some different money to coinbase in San Francisco about 2 weeks after I wired money to
BTC-e.  Coinbase took care of verifying my account and then submitted my buy order, then made me
wait for several days while they did whatever they did... and then fullfilled my order, I have those coins.
All the while I wait for BTC-e, still waiting, still wondering if they will return my money.
And Btc rises all the time.

The sort of stuff going on with BTC-e ( and I am not the only one, by far ) is going to go away in the future,
I hope, thanks to crypto-currencies.

Do NO business with BTC-e.
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e - £1500 Stolen on: November 26, 2013, 11:21:46 PM
I concur, I authorized an international wire transfer of USD on the 7th of November. BTC-e asked for my SWIFT transaction statement, which I provided.
My bank tells me that BTC-e must have received the money by this point.
Conclusion - they have it and are sitting on it.
-DO NOT!!- do business with BTC-e, they are becoming a FRAUD, even if they were not already.
