61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: System Comfiguration to get started on: February 06, 2018, 03:27:45 PM
Hi,

Here are some useful links I used to start up mine (Ethereum)

Don't know which GPU's you want to use. But 6 for 2500 watt seems a lot. I have 4 RX580 and they consume only around 800 watts. So 6 should come out around 1200W or so. You might get them lower, but as electricity is free i would go for maximum hash.

AMD has increased production to meet the demand, so I would expect to see better availability in the coming weeks/month. On the Nvidia side it seems that have switched production to the new Volta consumer line, so availabilty will be much more limited until the expected launch in Q2.

i dnt like Nvidia

but AMD is just too muchh  im getting tired everyday searching websites looking for someone selling for at least a good price

i mean i can find rx 570 red devils 4gb but its just too much 400$ to 450$

is there  realy no other than the rx 500 and rx 400  that can do good hashrate with good price  ?

Hi,

Don't know which country you are in. But I buy my GPU's in the Netherlands in a store and I have purchased last month RX580 - 8GB for 300€ each.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB or 8GB for ethereum on: February 05, 2018, 06:46:35 PM
I bought 8 GB. the resale value of them is better, as gamers are more in to them
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins still dropping in price on: February 05, 2018, 05:38:07 PM
I guess that there are multiple reasons why:

1) I think that we had some kind of bubble in the last months. The prices went sometimes like crazy. This has led to some people taking profits
2) There is a lot of bad news and FUD circling around which makes that people starting to panic

66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is the mining of Ethereum profitable? on: February 05, 2018, 01:09:05 PM
Mining Ethereum is definitly profitable. The price has dropped and the difficullty went up, but it's still profitable.

The statement that you need a big investment is not true neither (depending on what you call big). I have a small rig with 4 RX580 8 GB and it costed me 1500€. I started with one GPU and than gradually expanded. I buy my GPU's at around 300€, which is I think reasonably priced.

Take into acount your powercost, but even for me in one of the most expensive countries for electricity, I still earn a nice profit. You will not get rich of it, but you have some fun on it as well (otherwise you will go out and spend the money in the bar or so).
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Very very low hash rate on eth 2.000Mh/s on: February 04, 2018, 05:17:37 PM
I had exactly the same issue. I did the uninstall and installed the latest blockchain drivers.

For me it fixed the issue.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining looks like it's dying to me.. on: February 04, 2018, 04:55:02 PM
I just did my maths, I'm at 2,43$ a card (RX580). Not what it has been, but still profit to be made.

and like said there are still other coins to be mined.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash on: February 04, 2018, 04:36:29 PM
I don't think it will replace bitcoin. there are better alternatives for Bitcoin than bitcoin cash.

And if the lightning solves the the issue like they say, it will become hard for Bitcoin Cash
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining earnings are terrible, I'm shutting down for a while on: February 04, 2018, 03:39:08 PM
Profit is profit. I don't see why you shut completely down? I would consider moving to a different coin first.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: my hold coins for the coming years on: February 04, 2018, 03:05:29 PM
I Think as well that you have to many coins (off course you don't tell how much of them you have). If you have small amounts of them it is still OK.

I would invest most as well in 5 to 8 coins, but off course with this spread you might capture more big return coins, but as well more loss coins. Time will tell if it was good to do.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining looks like it's dying to me.. on: February 04, 2018, 02:52:40 PM
It still looks pretty profiltable when you look at whattomine:

https://whattomine.com/coins

Have not done the calculation for my cards, yet. Will start it now.

You have to think as well that although the difficulty increased, the price increased a lot compared to 4 months ago.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU-mining? on: February 04, 2018, 01:58:24 PM
Like you stated yourself. It will not be profitable. But there are some coins that are easier to mine than other if you want to play a little bit. Some that are easier to mine are:

- IntenseCoin
- Electronium
- Aeon

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: February 03, 2018, 03:02:00 PM
If you really think that this will happen, than you better sell everything and stop putting your time in this forum.

I think differntley, like most people here. They might still go down for sure, but they will never go to zero.

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Alt coins to mine in 2018 on: January 27, 2018, 08:05:58 PM
ETH gives from me currently the best return. It uses lots of power, but with the current price it is the most profitable I have found till now.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Interested in becoming a miner on: January 27, 2018, 11:07:10 AM
These are indeed not the best machines to mine with. With the macbook you might be doing some CPU mining, but that will indeed give low hashrates and will not be very profitable. Some coins that are easiest to CPU mine are: Electroneum, Intensecoin.

Here you can calculate what the return will, be http://minecryptonight.net/ as profit you will not make out of it.
