61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin free the world? on: January 30, 2018, 03:29:02 PM
Bitcoin can't do anything by itself that's true.  But it's a tool people can use.

Also, if you had read my post correctly,  you'd see that I was making statements in a list format and not implying every statement was connected.

For example, the IRS in Obama's administration targeted opposition groups with the purpose of stifling them.  America isn't a dictatorship, obviously but it would still help to have privacy in transactions in many countries.

And as for the cash statement, you realize cash has a physical presence right?  And that Bitcoin is digital, making it easier to give to causes without alerting centrally controlled banks or risking robbery?

And as for them being sheep, every country is full of sheep.  But the internet has caused quite a stir by giving people access to information  and more power which is leading to the breakdown of dictatorial states and encouraging democracy. There's no reason the internet of money can't do the same.

Next time, state your opinion without being rude.  There's no need for it.

So many people are stuck in countries with dictatorships and are chained to a failing currency.  So many people are afraid to organize,  or speak their mind, or financially support a political party they agree with for fear of retribution.  And so many people have their privacy invaded by governments (I'm looking at you,  America).

Could Bitcoin truly solve these issues?  I think so.   What do you all think?

63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the heart of bitcoin? on: January 30, 2018, 02:24:48 AM
The heart of Bitcoin is choice.

People can choose to send money without crazy transaction fees or wait times (at least, after the lightning update)
People can choose to keep their wealth safe from governments and banks who can inflate or steal it.
People can choose privacy over rapacious inspection.
People can choose Bitcoin over an unstable national currency to store value in.

You must be new.  No judgement though.

Yeah cryptos are a volatile market but thats only due to fear and uncertainty.  Soon there will be regulation and the market will be more stable.

Just keep holding and don't let fear make your decisions.

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who anticipated the Crypto fallout of January 2018? on: January 29, 2018, 02:21:16 AM
I didn't anticipate such a big crash but it seems like crashes happen in January because that's when regulations tend to be introduced.

As long as you hodl and not constantly check the market you end up doing okay.

66  Economy / Marketplace / Why I think the crypto market will be worth about $6 trillion by 2019 on: January 25, 2018, 03:44:34 PM
Here's why I think $6 trillion is completely reasonable:
1. Wall Street hasn't jumped in yet.
2. Big business still has its toes in the water.
3. There's widespread and mainstream awareness,  but very little mainstream adoption.
4. We're going to see at least one governments currency collapse soon, with that nation switching to cryptos. That will begin a widespread acceptance of cryptos as legitimate.
5. The trend in the general population is anti central authority aka. big banks, governments, big corporations. Look at brexit, Trump, the rise of nationalism against the EU, etc.  Cryptocurrencies are the embodiment of anti authority and giving the people more control over their wealth.

With so many catalysts, a 10-12x growth for this market is definitely a possibility.

What do you all think?

67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why Bitcoin is going to surge very soon on: January 25, 2018, 02:54:53 AM
Besides the fact that PBC raised their buy up to price on Bitcoin to $25,000 from $10,000, there's one very good reason why February is going to be a killer month for Bitcoin:

Wall Street.

While political events have influenced the cryptocurrencies market lately,  a lot of the volatility was actually being caused by manipulation from Wall Street investors.

Because of the success of their influence, we're going to see tons of other investors jump in to get their share.  Right now, there is anywhere between $100-200 billion waiting to jump in.  A lot of that will go to Bitcoin.

This month will be volatile, but all time highs will be everywhere.  After enough money jumps in, the market will be less volatile as its harder to manipulate larger markets.

This means February will start off crazy with lots of peaks and dips, but then the market will rise fast.
This could be the best year for cryptocurrencies yet.

So hold your Bitcoin!

Palm Beach confidential has raised the buy up to price for Bitcoin to $25,000 and they have a pretty great track record.

It sound crazy, but I'll bet you that Bitcoin will be worth close to if not $100,000 per coin by early 2019.

New investors just have to realize that this year is going to be very volatile. This is the year where many blockchain products are going to be fully implemented.  Once the world sees what blockchain can do, there will be a flood of new money coming in.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 1/4 of the world's money be consumed by cryptocurrencies by 2021.

I'm predicting that Bitcoin hits 100k by the end of 2018.  I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.

Everyone thought it would be less but it's caught fire and there's just going to be too much demand for it in the future.
The more the governments, big banks and media fight it,  the bigger it will get.
It's like a trap.  If they ban it,  the countries that don't will see all the wealth flow to them instead.  If they allow it,  it will eventually undermine and dominate their financial narrative.

Unless they ban the internet,  they can't stop it.  Decentralized exchanges and services like localbitcoin ensure that.

All they can do is try to regulate it,  when they should all just be buying in.  In the end, the people will finally have the final say over their hard earned wealth.

It's a great time to be alive!
