I was bored tonight and started what will just be a 'fan page' per say, promoting and supporting KORE... kore.rocks It was nice and cheap to register for a year, if things get going and its used it will remain for yrs to come.
I will start by setting up a basic FAQ as it seems to be missing from the main site. Just for inexperienced crypto users, howto setup the wallet, what to do if it goes wrong etc.
Any other ideas for the kore supporter page let me know.

bootstrap.dat - Block 379071 3rd June 2015 179.5Mb https://mega.nz/#!uYUV2TpT!0md8Gsv73jol907zr4ihjdgjK3FzS0b60vXf8ok0tNoSee above! I still haven't researched if the time taken to import the file is normal. Uploaded for anyone to test who wants to that uses bootstrap files, let me know if its behaviour is normal. Also let me know if you would prefer it as a rar or zip etc

It seemed to work but still took about 5hrs? I even turned off the wifi to make sure it wasn't over the network it was that slow, it stayed on the importing from bootstrap splashcreen on the wallet, I checked and it was just slowly slowly building the blkindex in the roaming folder. I was expecting it to be much quicker but I don't think i've used a bootstrap before, maybe for btc a couple of years ago. Can't remember how long that took.
Got to head off to work, will chuck up on mega nz in 10 or 12 hrs

Hi MM, I got my account back (yay) intime to help out hehe! Thank you for links Can now someone post fresh bootstrap file, because i will sync my wallet 1 week.Thank you Yes,i need bootstrap file .I will buy kore but please post bootstrap file for fast synch. The wallet will sync with the new peers.dat, and it will not take a week but maybe 24hrs at the moment. The first time I opened the wallet I left mine open overnight and it was synced by morning. I can probably make a new bootstrap file, or if someone on here used the old one we can possibly just upload it again, but a more up to date one would be better anyway. Just looking seems too easy, I will just test what I have made then get to uploading if it works.

FYI
Thanks Rw13enlib88 a handy service indeed. Maybe a simple service like bitcoindial for kore would also be a good idea.

Things are getting back on track after some slow months with the blockchain. from blockexperts.com

Also thankyou both for staking!
I have tried to run a seperate QT using -datadir=c:\insertnewdatapath
It works happily by itself and has populated the new data directory I made with its own wallet.dat and all other files. However when I open 2 QT's, one normal and one with new datadir the second QT open sits on verifying database, no matter which one I open second.
The second QT is also on another port. Not sure what the problem is, I believe it should just work at this point. Will keep having a fiddle. Would be nice to have 2 seperate QTs staking on the same PC.

Don't worry it has the support of MM, once I have it setup so I can never mix it up with my personal investment it will be pretty official... transparent and accountable
If the network gets back on its feet I will be happy to reimburse any donations if it is an issue for anyone.

Evening all. Blocks have been flying the last 3 days. A bit slower today, but I have probably seen more stakes the last few days than the 10 before that. If I get the time I might throw a graph together to show the blockrate and improvement we have achieved over the last fortnight. Or do we have a block explorer that will show that for me? I am still going to post a seperate 24/7 stake address. I want to run this as another QT though not just another address in my personal one (prefer on the same PC). I guess worst case I can run a VMS I believe you can run another QT with a couple of changes to the conf specifying another data dir? I will research this and have the 2nd 24/7 stake wallet up with just the donations running next week. Your efforts have been noticed on the network, continue to help and stake when you can!I think theres a poll somewhere aswell? I dunno Havn't heard much about it lol

It's a gamble.
Yes that is true. But there is a difference between gambling on a project that does not have the interest you first expected so price slowly slumps as project goes on. Compared to someone taking 50+ BTC from ICO investors, having fancy graphics and lots of words/docs. Then leaving after a week or 2 if your lucky and leaving you with nothing. Personally I watch an ICO and after 2 weeks on markets if it hasn't been a P&D and dev is working/community building I look to buy into it in the free market.

I'm sick of every coin being started by "coin name Dev" accounts. If the concept is that great and has been worked on for so long as promised most times, there should be someone or several people willing to put their real account and rep on the line when launching a coin if it's so dam great.
That's why shitty ICOs kills potential good project. Next time scared gamblers and other paranoid idiots will dump cheaper than invested because we had several self-filled ICOs I think when dev sending BTC from different addresses and keep his own coins to dump on exchange... They are see this and think next time will be the same. Yes, and it is not even just real ICO projects that are affected by scams, scammers have been giving the whole altcoin market a bad name for a year or 2.
