61  Economy / Speculation / Re: China Holiday Ended Yesterday. China wakes again in about 5 hours. Predictions? on: February 07, 2014, 08:05:08 PM
I have took a risk and sold at £727. Hopefully the price will drop.

What are your predictions, how low can it goes in 24 hours?
I predict china has another massive sell off, based upon them hoping we would start a missive rally today. Our rally was minimal. If china starts the rally then it will go high, it china is still scared as I think they are, sell offs will continue threw the nite, another 100 dollar drop would not be hard. Imagine is stamp annonced they were stopping BTC withdrawls. Mt.Gox is huge in china and japan.

Bitcoin is such a volatile maeket!

If someone knew the future they would be minted!

Slightly off the topic but do you think it is worth buying on stamp and selling on btc-e for the slight profit or is the market to volatile at the minute to do that?

I don't know wether to buy or sell, does anyone have any advice?

I understand only I can make the decision but I would like some guidance!
Wait until at least 12 at night china. If their buying then buy, if selling then sell. This could get alot worse, Mt.gox news is only now just hitting big news stations. Alot of Chinese have not even gotten the news as their holiday just ended.

I really feel like selling but then I am $10 a Bitcoin down.

China started the massive sell of last night. My question is: will china continue to sell on gox? What say you?

I predict that the massive sell-off on the only respectable large USD Bitcoin exchange down to $619, will fill our Chinese Bitcoiner counterparts full of bullish confidence.

$1000 Bitcoin before the end of the weekend. $5000 before the end of Feb.

U read it here first!

On the other hand, if it were indeed a big bunch of Chinese whales who have been doing the cashing out on Bitstamp, whilst conspiring to keep Huobi 'afloat' with faked bot trading figures, well, then we really could be in a for a very nasty surprise. (not me cos no way am I going long Bitcoin anytime soon, but everyone else could be).

I have a feeling Mat is talking some sense. I have just bought!

Is there anything like this except for an iPhone app, I have looked but I cant find it.

I tried following the same steps but I couldn't find the address book!
Yes adam9317.
There's this Blockchain app available.
Here.

Thanks I have found this but is there anything with a guide on how to use this app with paper wallets.

Iits the guide I'm looking for Smiley

Adam

Doesn't it tell you on the above link? Just go to 'My Addresses' and scroll down to 'Scan Private Key'.

Brilliant thanks. Sorry I was just being a wee bit stupid.

Adam

Make sure you back up your coins if you’re just using the app. Apple has just removed it from their store.

Yes thanks for your assistance.

Any word on why apple removed it?

Most people here hate both Paypal and Godaddy, so perhaps you should try somewhere else?
Good luck!

Thanks, I could understand the hatred because it is Bitcoin/ paypal, but hopefully someone can help as my website isn't to do with Bitcoin.

Many thanks

I have already found the domain I want on godaddy but I am asking for any advice from people who know about this stuff here.

How do I go about creating the website so I can sell stuff and implement paypal.

Many thanks

I've got no knowledge with paper wallets. So I need to know basic step by step instructions on how to get btc from a paper wallet to my bitstamp account.

Thanks

Try this: https://blockchain.info/wallet/paper-tutorial Can't get any simpler.

That is a pretty good tutorial and I am surprised that I haven't found it before Tongue

This guide should be more well advertised!

Well it's the first that comes up on google for paper wallet tutorial Cheesy.

LOL, maybe I should have done a bit more googling before I asked the question here!

Hi there.

I know that on Bitcoin paper wallets you need to be able to scan a barcode (Am I right)

What sort of devices could I use to scan it or is there an app I could get for my ipad/ blackberry?

Thanks very much

You don't need to be able to scan the barcode - you can just type in the key. If you have a smartphone, you can use one of the many Android or Iphone scanner apps that use your camera for a scanner.

Ok,

So say I want to transfer the balance from paper wallet to bitstamp do I just type the code into bitstamp as if I was transferring bitcoins?

I think you might have to scan the funds to a wallet then send them to bitstamp that way.

Yes. A paper wallet is just a backup. You import it into your wallet and spend like normal.
