WU is too expensive (and that's gonna ruin them even before coins do), wire takes too long (~week on most exchanges), nothing beats direct payment with CC or Paypal.
Hard to get in and even harder to get out (deposits and withdrawals) is a big problem that can cause a real damage to cryptocurrencies (totally stop or at least slow down the adoption)

Thanks for the feedback, all.  Stuff I'm working on:

1. 24 hour rank changes (up/down arrows)
2. API page
3. A way to show which coins are out of date (in case of block explorer failures)
4. Prices in other currencies

And now lot's of stuff to address!  Sorry if I missed anyone's question, let me know if I did.

What's the criteria for new currencies to be added to the list?

1. It's a crypto-currency
2. It's traded on an exchange with an API
3. There is a URL somewhere that shows the total supply of coins in real time

Would you please care to include Opensourcecoin?
You should add NETcoin.
Is it possible to add Globalcoin?
Where is bottlecaps?
could you add Tigercoin (TGC) to your excellent site?
Will you be including Mastercoin and other Decentralized Applications built on top of the Bitcoin protocol on this list?
is it possible to get nibble back to the list?
I can't find securecoin anywhere on the site, considering it's extreme upward movements I'd like to see it there, it would save me a lot of time in market cap calculations.
So what needs to happen to get HBN listed?
I think that Datacoin can also be added to coinmarketcap.

I would love to add all of these, I just need a URL that shows the total supply of the coin in real time (for example for feathercoin: http://explorer.feathercoin.com/chain/Feathercoin/q/totalbc).  I do not have the resources to host block explorers for every alt coin.  Sad

Is there any chance you can add a download link pointing to something simple like a .xls file consisting of what we see on your website?

I'm working on an API so you'll be able to convert to .xls pretty easily.

I have a question about how the price is calculated on this page.

Is it simply a cross between all available exchange prices for the particular currency pair,
or is it also based on how much VOLUME an exchange contributes?

Thanks for enlightening me.

It's currently just the price of the highest volume exchange.

Could you add unobtainium? Or is the market cap too small?

Thx for the awesome site! Grin

I will try!
What about a coin price change in the last 24h?
Tnx

That's maybe the major drawback of bitcoin - no easy way in. And i'm talking about regular people, not miners, brokers/speculators etc. The ones that actually spend money (usually via PP and/or CC) to BUY things (not just cryptocurrencies), the ones that eventually can replace PP and other existing payment methods with bitcoin.
And they don't want to wire funds to some shaddy exchange, wait for 7-30 days just to buy coins.
Neither they want to meet with someone in person to exchange money for coins (or vice versa)
I find it no harder than managing and moving dollars electronically. You mentioned PayPal, well it's basically the same process to fund your PayPal account. Get verified, send money, wait for your account to be funded. It's getting through the morass of legal requirements on dollars that is the problem. Once you have bitcoin you are free.
People don't care if they're free or not, they want the easiest way possible to exchange and lowest fees.
Of course it's not a problem for someone who dislikes the current monetary system, or for the miners, traders, etc. but they're not majority (not even close). How many people know anything about cryptocurrencies, 1%?

@ Gliss:
Your site is probably the best and most clean looking site of all coins-related market/exchanges sites out there...
If you can and it's not hard to implement, could you add a coin value change in last 24h [like the existing for market "% Change (24h)] in another collumn (maybe next to "Price" or wherever).

Thank you (in advance)!
