what i saw on the exchanges is that the majority of volume which keeps ANC in the Top100 list comes
from China ANC/CNY.
http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/coins/show/anc

So i dont understand why BTER did not openend a ANC Market since their are from China too.
That would be great since BTER is the second largest multicoin exchange after Cryptsy.

Add ANC to BTER vote list Smiley

So did anonmining.com close up and steal any coins you still had there? Can't seem to find an answer of what happened and their domain is expired now. I don't think there was any warning or anything...

And sorry to bring this up here but I think it's relevant as they had advertised in this thread earlier and were one of the better anoncoin pools IMO.
Use p2pool. You can mine at my public p2pool or setup your own (the one @ my github).
Ok thanks that's a bit helpful just wish I could receive the 5 ANC I spent a couple months over the winter mining (was on fairly low intensity). It isn't so much the quantity that matters but the time I wasted producing them so they could be taken by whoever ran that place. Anyone know anything about who they were and if there's someone I could contact for the off-chance they would actually pay me my earnings?

Guess that's what I get for leaving coins in the account and not taking a payout sooner...

Hi, give me your address and I'll give you 10 ANC Smiley

Wow thank you so much! Aa9jashMtDJB7XBdFfqoWUVTkC8obgF1d7 should work. Really appreciate this was pretty bumbed out over my loss.

Thanks again!

That's np. Just felt a bit sorry for all your effort Smiley. If you are at Cryptsy, please give me your trade key instead, because then the ANC will arrive immediately. I have noticed lately that it takes several days before withdrawals can be seen on the blockchain.

Ok, since you did not answer, I sent them to the address you provided, but it may take one or two days.

Hi all!

Posted some ANC from vircurex and the coins took several days to arrive at Cryptsy... The problem seemed to be slowness in the network (according to Cryptsy, as I never bothered to check the block chain). However, strange that the hashrate seems to be around the same as it has been for a while. What is the current situation, should it be OK to wait a few days or what do you think?

Will the old wallets work with the new update? Was thinking of vircurex for example (they are not active developing anything anymore)
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: June 10, 2015, 07:34:23 AM
Just to be clear: Anoncoin is not a dead coin. We have a new lead developer, GroundRod, who has brought the code up to bitcoin 0.10 standards, and who has added many new features, such as a innovative PID difficulty retargeting algorithm (see https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Development_schedule). You can download/build the the develop branch on github to see for yourself. We are currently testing the PID algorithm on internal testnets.

But to get back to your original comment: Meeh has not given up on Anoncoin, but even if he did, the project would live on without him.

Sorry, maybe I was a bit harsh and you are right.

Got this notification from Meeh. I guess you can translate yourselves \,,,/

don't believe that, meeh just talks a lot...

Google translation.....

It should work fine as far as I know. Has been "offline" in recent months, but should take a look at the project next week. Smiley

I have not spoken to Meeh so have no further comment at this time.

Maybe, but this is definitively a positive thing. He is alive and seems to be positive about the project anyways. He could have stated that he does not want to be affiliated with Anoncoin anymore too, but he didn't. I think he moved from Norway to Cebu ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cebu ) and it probably takes some time to settle down. May be that he eventually returns to the project when life over there gets boring Wink. We have seen coin projects where this has happened before... a developer with respect suddenly returns or takes over a "dead" coin and the value of the coin multi-ten-folds.

Just my thoughts

Here is some info I got from Cryptsy angels:

Hi! What does the status "Pending Wallet/Network Fix" mean?

The status means that our technical team is still working on the issue and will let us know as soon as this is resolved. Basically we are now just waiting for them to either restore the coins or released to the blockchain. Any way, I will let you know as soon as I have an update from them regarding your concern. Thank you for your patience.

This was six days ago and 10 days since the failing withdrawal. However, I can recall something similar happened a year ago and I had to wait two months, but the coins DID show up after all. Cryptsy has never scammed in that sense, so I have the trust and I do not actually worry at all

I received my coins that were stuck today. Lets hope they pay more attention in the future and dont repeat same mistakes.

Yes, I also got my coins now. Smiley

High trading volume in China over the past 24 hours:

http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=ANC

I find this interesting. Perhaps the community should look more closely at btc38 as a potential primary exchange for ANC.

Cryptsy has given ANC a lot of problems for a long time

True, looks like someone really wants to get their hands on this coin. Maybe they in China realized the potential

Well, the guy that bought that sell wall at 5kSAT for around 12BTC will probably want to trigger the price quite a bit yet, so let's just help him out

Hi all,
the following is not an actual wallet theme, just a layout I've made to show the new logo background image I created. Wich is just a proposal and can still be modified.
So pay only attention to the logo background at the bottom of this pix.

If this is appreciated and if I'm not able to make a real QT wallet theme I can provide the background image for others to include in their own QT theme (and I'm not asking for a bounty for doing this Smiley )

other link for picture:
https://img.bi/#/Xo9njgk!m95U3Aj_C-bQEMz8Aw8WN-1wPwmfvg8o256QP1gd

It is a nice look. It appears very clean. In my own opinion, though, the "A" logo is unappealing. I feel that it doesn't reverberate any of the features of this coin. Just my opinion, though. I know you just made the theme, not the logo. Smiley

Yes, I fully agree on the A-logo. Why was it changed? Was the old logo subject to copyright infringement? The "A" does not tell much about this coin.

The logo is awsomely good!

Anoncoin now has themes for the Qt wallet

Thanks to Ulfie, Anoncoin now supports user defined themes for the Qt wallet. Here are a few examples, just to demonstrate that it really works: Examples

To experiment with themes, follow these instructions:

1. Download and compile the develop-themes branch on Github. Then copy the folder share/qt/themes to your anoncoin data directory. Alternatively, download the OSX developer build here, unzip, and then copy the themes folder to "~/Library/Application\ Support/Anoncoin/". Please note that the branch develop-themes will be merged with develop after the next round of commits by GroundRod.

2. Go to Preferences > Display, and choose a theme from the drop down menu. Click OK at the bottom of the screen.

3. To create your own themes, simply create a new folder in the themes folder, and create a style.qss file that is based on one of the examples.

That's it! A contest for the best community contributed themes will soon follow...

Thanks lunokhod2! Nice to see some progress in github <3

Hi,
If you wonder where jasinlee is, you may want to read this first
http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/legal-action-taken-in-alleged-cachecoin-fraud-pump-dump-scam/

However, have you seen what happened to Cachecoin lately? A new known dev took over and the coin rocketed. This could (and should) happen to Devcoin too Wink
