61  Economy / Lending / [Open] 6.4 BTC loan, collateral/escrow, monthly interest, ~5 months. on: January 10, 2015, 04:21:31 PM
Amount: Total 5.7 btc loaned out - still receiving loan offer of any amount with below terms but will be uncollateralized if offered due to collaterals being 100% promised to current interested parties.

Duration: 150 days (about 5 months, can be paid back earlier depending on negotiations)

Repayment amount: Total of 30% interest + Principle. Every 30 days, I will pay out 6% interest, and principle will be fully repaid along with the last 6% interest payment after 150 days (about 5 months). 6% (every 30 days) X 5 = 30% interest for 150 days. 6.4 BTC + 1.92 BTC in 30% interest = total 8.32 btc repayment.

Essentially, 6% interest on the principle will be paid out to you every 30 days from the beginning of the loan, four times until 150 days are up (about 5 months) at which point all 6.4 btc + last 6% interest payment will be made, GMT.

Loan purpose: I am deeply involved in btc trades and also in the altcoin scene. My previous transactions in the trust category can speak for themselves.

I can provide a collateral in a different coin to cover most of the loan at the current avg monthly market price, if that would ease your concerns due to this request being a relatively large amount. Escrow will be the one we both agree on that can be trusted to hold the collateral. I would prefer to ask this public escrow to hold the collateral:

Rofo (aka Jason L. Curby profile):

https://www.noblemovement.com/nobleescrow/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=198862;sa=summary

https://au.linkedin.com/pub/jason-curby/27/9b8/994

https://twitter.com/NobleCoin

Not some faceless anonymous escrow on btc talk, so I would trust him personally. We can discuss it further.

Also, you can say my collateral is my reputation not only on btc talk forum trading reputation, but also my crypto reputation in general (irc, twitter, other forums etc) since people i work with know my forum handle. I would like to state this just to make clear what I am proposing.

I reserve the right to pay everything back earlier (all 30% interest + principle).

Thank you for taking time to read this request - I have posted in several threads seeking a loan for similar conditions. Anyone who comes first will have priority in terms of negotiations.

Most terms are negotiable. PM me for details on the collateral.

Thank you in advance Smiley

Update: Loan amount adjusted to reflect the recent price changes.
Update #2: More adjustments to the terms, extended time period and loan amounts.
Update #3: ducatitalia reserved 4 btc with negotiated terms.
Update #4: lihuajkl reserved 1.7 btc with negotiated terms. Collateral completely promised. OP updated. Waiting on escrow.

Is there now or will there be a NOXT wallet?

You have the nxt client to work with. Seems far better than a standard wallet to me.

The new 1.4.7 nxt wallet got me irritated, busy for a week now to get it running. Can't believe they don't make an easy downloadable and good functioning wallet.
Now having my NOXT on poloniex waiting for poloniex to get out of business, like what happened to 3 other exchanges were I held my coins.

I would put a bit more stock in poloniex - they should surprise some people.

well i guess now i know for sure i am not getting my noble back. Cry

I believe they are going after ryan, but yes it seems likely that dumped coins will not be coming back.

About the NobleCoins at MintPal, there was about 108 millions left, which were withdrawn/dumped on the 21/22 december.

Below is the balance history of the guesstimated MintPal wallet (through blockchain taint):

Raw figures from the chart http://pastebin.com/fapqwwFY

The MintPal wallet is now at less than 50k (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/wallet.dws?9qsYVusfbVxXi9rAFeky2kgJbMH23Z8sUw.htm)

Rofo or anyone else, if you want more details, just ask.

Note that a similar pattern occurred for GroestlCoin, the MintPal GRS wallet was "emptied" of 9 millions GRS on the 23 december, which were dumped on PoloniEx (blockchain taint analysis and PoloniEx market history are unambiguous for GRS).

Very nice, thank you for the analysis.

I agree. This whole thing is a sham and GAW + Josh should be arrested and convicted.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of coins based on NXT? on: January 02, 2015, 02:49:41 PM
Is there a list of all the coins that are based on NXT?

I know a few that are. There is NeXT Horizon (NHZ), NAS, Bilshares (BILS), NXT Fair Distribution (NFD), FIMKrypto (FIMK), and BURST. NHZ and NAS are fairly straightforward NXT clones. Bilshares is probably a Chinese NXT clone and there seems to be very little information about it on the web. FIMKrypto is a NXT clone for Finland. And BURST removes the proof-of-stake features of NXT and replaces it with an unusual proof-of-capacity mining scheme.

Then you have coins like NEM, NODE, and Crypti which seem to have been either inspired by NXT or were originally meant to be NXT forks but their devs changed their mind.

Finally, you have Qora which share a lot of qualities with NXT and was initially suspected of being a NXT clone until it went open source. Even more confusing is Ora which was originally meant to be a fork of Qora in the form of Kora but which later changed its name and became a coin built on top of the NXT monetary system.

Are there any others that I'm missing?

EDIT: I just found another one called STAG although the coin seems to be down at the moment. It looks like there are quite a few more that I've missed.

There is NobleNXT (NOXT). ANN is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much has GAW/Josh stand to make from Paycoin? on: January 02, 2015, 02:21:41 PM
They committed fraud. Their 'business connections' and 'partners' dismissed and denied any relations with GAW.

Expect federal raid and arrests anytime.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Paycoin failed on: January 02, 2015, 02:06:28 PM
Wasn't GAW proven to have lied about their 'connections' to wal mart and other 'partner companies' who more or less told the news outlets that they were not affiliated at all?

Don't chase after a quick buck too hard - instead, I recommend sticking to hard working projects and building up your portfolio instead of trading and buying into these unprofessional scams.

If you want to see a true start-up, look up long term, dedicated developers and their projects like this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.new#new

They deserve your support and investment far more than these scams that promise the heavens and run off with your money (obviously no transparency on their spending either).

Remaining BTC Portion Destroyed

321,428 of 500,000 NOXT were sold from the BTC portion. I've destroyed the remaining 178,571 (17.8%) by sending them to the genesis account - NXT-MRCC-2YLS-8M54-3CMAJ (can be viewed and confirmed in Asset Distribution).

NOBL Burning Process

1. Send me a PM with the amount of NOBL you are burning right now and the address you are sending them from (before sending any).
2. In the PM include your NXT Account ID (Address, for example mine is NXT-LSM7-9TLV-TZPB-FLB5T). This could be a NOXT deposit address you have generated on Poloniex if you choose. This is where I will send the NOXT.
3. Send your NOBL to this address to burn (destroy/make unspendable): 9T6fgHG3unjQB6vpWozhBdiXDbQp3P7F8M (read why here).
4. Once I confirm the NOBL has been sent to the address I will send 10 NOXT to your address as a test and PM you to confirm you received it OK.
5. Once confirmed by you I will send remainder of NOXT to your address.
6. I will be doing it in daily batches and applying checkpoints/force updates to the NOBL wallet if necessary, so no funny business.

Only if you've PM'd me so far can I now confirm a burning spot. We've reached the cap of removing 700 million NOBL from circulation.

Example of exchange rate:

Quote
If you have 3,500,000 NOBL, that would equal 0.63 BTC worth (3,500,000 x 0.00000018), which would net you 1500 NOXT (0.63 / 0.00042 (NOXT crowd fund price).

Most people bought well above this exchange rate, so I don't think there are going to be many quick flips for profit all things considering. Personally I don't think it's worth it, but giving a heads up regardless.

If I've missed anything important point it out to me.

A lot of work, 2015 will bring good results. Smiley

As a long term Noble holder - with a fairly substantial amount - should I be burning Noble to receive Noxt? I must confess to having been away from this scene for a while and have no real clue as to what is going on. I have been following Rofo on Twitter and retweeting Noble news, but with regards to what I should do as a holder of Noble, I'm less clear.

You can contact rofo directly on twitter or here with pm to burn your nobl for noxt. He has a lot of messages to sift through, but since you posted here, he should be able to answer you and help you with the burning process.

Update

Adios! Just kidding.

Thanks for the patience and support. I'm still surprised at how much I learnt even after a year of how people want to do business behind the scenes with coins. Smiley Was quite insightful.

Some things:
- I will not be focusing on the remaining whitepaper until I get three pillars (see below) finalized - too much info. and not widely read. Also, the new Australian paper on BTC and legalities will allow me to rework and double check everything.
- Bear in mind we will have traders who did not want to buy during crowdfund trying to get in lower (history tells them to expect a dump, presumably from myself)
- We will also have traders who want to take some easy profit from NOBL>NOXT>BTC burn. You might have an opportunity to get some lower. However the majority of burners will not want out at this price. I know because I spent a month doing nothing but discussing and getting to better know personally a lot of people.

If you've noticed I've gone silent, I got very tired of trying to sell NOXT by having to promise pump targets, promise free money, give free coins, give pump group info. (assuming there was one), etc. rather than discuss the project itself. I have put my head down in the real world to deliver what is described below. I would just like to be a little personal and say NOXT also cost me my long-term partner (I'm human might be hard to believe sometimes, I worked too hard, failed her and it cost me). So once the 100BTC barrier was reached I had no need for more, didn't want to feel like a pushy dodgy salesman, and just wanted to get to real work and spend the next 12 months building something that makes up for it. What this means is a lower market cap and room for growth, I don't need any more BTC. If I haven't responded to PMs you should receive them shortly with how to burn, addresses, etc.

What I'm doing immediately  and expect fully 'operational' this month:
Delivering what I'm calling the 'three early pillars' of this project
1. The registered Australian business providing consultancy and crypto services charged in NOXT, with an early introductory out to potential clients
2. Second-hand licensing and development allowing precious metals and diamond trade on the new revamped marketplace
3. Business development and marketing plan to present to real-world industry representatives, potential partners and investors

There will also be information coming about the NobleTrade platform in development, services, the gift card website and NoblePay.

Please allow me to get together the final raised and all the PMs I got about burning, and I will get in touch with everyone with addresses and we'll burn the NOBL to NOXT over the next few days.

Whatever happens to the price in the short-term as people hustle I'm only going to say this once. I care about the value of NOXT, but my focus this time is on delivering what is outlined, not posting assurances on daily-weekly price movements or defending accusations.

Happy NYE everyone. 2014 taught us a lot about crypto. and this is the first step to building both NOBL & NOXT.

The three goals will ensure that noxt and nobl are both essentially backed by regulatory framework, adoptive usage, and consistent market demand due to services offered.

Whoever didn't get in on this missed a boat on something real at the beginning of 2015. Smiley

Another straight forward, transparent and on time update by rofo. Thank you for your hard work, and let's see NOXT and NOBL succeed in 2015.

Make it short, and they scream 'incompetent'. Make it long, detailed, and specifically planned answering all possibilities and future plans, and it gets called 'not a whitepaper'.

Really?  Smiley

It's really more of a book at this point.
http://www.whitepapersource.com/writing/whats-the-ideal-length-for-a-white-paper/

I still don't see why anyone would want to use noble nxt rather than setting up their own colored coin/nxt asset/bts asset/counterparty asset, especially a business. There's no technical innovation, is there? That's what I was asking? Why would someone, particularly a business, want to tie themselves to a nxt asset with a (imo) stupid sounding name? Especially when they could just issue their own asset.

The only point to this venture, as far as I can see, is to get people to burn noble, which in turn probably enriches the dev, because it increases scarcity and he probably owns a fuckton of noble.

"I still don't see why anyone would want to use noble nxt rather than setting up their own colored coin/nxt asset/bts asset/counterparty asset,"

Of course you don't, you didn't read Smiley

I'm not going to waste my whole vacation digging through the "white paper". I actually did read through the first ten pages or so a few weeks ago, and didn't see anything substantial, just this oft repeated mantra of being a business friendly crypto backed asset.

I was simply asking what is the benefit of using a nxt asset tied to a low market cap clone coin rather than a company or individual starting their own nxt/bts/xcp asset. If you can't explain the core concept of something in a few sentences, it might just be too convoluted or unnecessarily complex. Thanks for your suggestion to read the white book, maybe someone else can offer a succinct explanation.

^ This is why we can't have nice things.

I'd say a dev who has shown his face and name since the beginning of 2014, when all the anonymous scammers were running around, and have been devoted to his project throughout the entire year is something to take note.

Meet Noblecoin dev Rofo aka Jason L. Curby: https://twitter.com/NobleCoin

His current project includes noblecoin and NobleNXT. ANN for NobleNXT here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841741.0;all
