61  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST play/invest, maximum transparency, join us! on: January 02, 2018, 11:12:36 PM
exorbitantly high fees affect all of the gamblers
whales or not,it is not very pleasant to send 30$ just to confirm your transfer
and it has been like that for quite a while, when you have to splash out 200k fees or even more
doesn't matter if you are rich or not
I have been waiting for the deposit to clear for 20+ days now, granted it was sent with a very low fee
but 20 odd days is retarded,I don't mind to wait, but not this much

If the fee was too low, it might never confirm. If you are in this situation you really only have two options:
- Broadcast a replace by fee transaction.
- Broadcast a new transaction with the same hash but with a higher fee (i.e. double spend)

Theoretically the protocol will drop the tx from the mempool after 72 hours, however there is nothing to stop a node from rebroadcasting it continuously, this could leave the tx in the global mempool forever. This article is a tutorial on what you may need to do:

https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@profitgenerator/tutorial-how-to-fix-unconfirmed-transactions

I can't wait until we get Lightning Network and all of these Bitcoin casinos get instant, free transactions (or almost instant & free) and we don't need to wait this long going forward.

I don't see how these companies can stay in business with fees this high.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great News For Bitcoin! Lightening Network First Payment Was Successful! on: December 31, 2017, 10:45:48 PM
From what I have heard, there are tons of Lightning Network Nodes already. I think there are close to or possible over 1,000 now around thw world. I really hope it works out because fees need to go lower.

I just tried sending Bitcoin since fees are down, but they are still too high and I don't want to spend that much percentage just to send money. Hope they go down really soon when LN is more popular in 2018.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help - I've just lost my Bitcoin! on: December 31, 2017, 10:07:14 PM
There is a 99% chance that you got hacked.

Sorry to say, but it is true. There are countless hackers out there right now because the government doesn't care about enforcing the law when it comes to crypto. They can get away with anything without any consequences.

Just take it as a learning experience to keep your passwords and such more secure. Don't download any files you aren't 100% sure about because it's the #1 way you can get hacked.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going to crash again? on: December 31, 2017, 10:02:17 PM
I think Bitcoin is going to $50,000 before it will crash. It doesn't make sense to go to $100,000 at this moment. It is too early. People still need to accept it. I think it goes to $50,000 and crashes.

Then it will go up to $500,000 and crash agai and then go to $1,000,000 after.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear of bitcoin on: December 31, 2017, 04:50:46 PM
The way bitcoin was rising from $1000 to $19600 and now again rolling back to $12000, this whole journey is surprising, unexpected. No currency in history was so volatile. Bitcoin is a decentralised currency backed or regulated by no authority. So fear and uncertainty is always their n the minds of many. Many economic experts call it a bubble or hoax. Some term it as an internet fraud. Rising price and peer to peer exchange quality making bitcoin popular among illegal activists. That is why many countries have banned bitcoins operations in their economy. Countries where bitcoin is accepted as legal currency are also planning to regulate the same. So fear about bitcoin will always be there.

I wouldn't say this rise to $20,000 was unexpected. I mean it is a lot higher than I was expectiong, but it isn't out of the ballpark. I think people are having trouble selling their Bitcoins who want to because the high fees are preventing this from happening.

If there was more liquidity in BTC, we would likely see alower price becaise big time holders would be able to sell more easily. Gvien that it is so hard to sell, people are just buying and not selling and this drives the price up (to the moon). Wink
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how can we make gambling as an accepted recreational activity like sports game? on: December 31, 2017, 04:48:13 PM
Gambling will never be an accepted activity like sports because sports are pretty much free to participate in and free to watch also, whereas gambling costs money to participate in.

Also, it is considerably more stressful and can lead to bad things (for example losing your house, family if you are addicted) whereas addiction to sports is quite rare or nonexistent for the most part.
67  Economy / Gambling / Re: VEGASCASINO.IO SCAM ! All funds confiscated and account blocked on: December 31, 2017, 04:33:14 PM

Sure, as moderators may see the account is registered with vegascasino.io email that proofs owning of the domain, also I guess nobody could answer this thread without checking the player account! Will be happy to provide more proofs.

I did check your account, your email is hidden from public view. http://prntscr.com/hujcsc

Change it to public and people will then believe you. Maybe the mods can see your email if you registered with a vegascasino.io email, but they should not have to tell the public you are legit. You should.

Agreed. OP is probably not lying, they seem trustworthy, but at the end of the day trust is earned and we don't just trust people for no reason.

With that said OP, you need to make your email public for this to be taken very seriously.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is almost closed.... How was the Crypto year friends on: December 31, 2017, 04:24:42 PM
This year was quite good for me. It could have been a lot better, actually it wan't great because I missed tons of opportunities to make a lot of money which is really sad. I could have easily become a millionaire.

Although, I can't complain. It is what it is and we can only just move on and hopefully 2018 is the year I truly find great success. Smiley
69  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: December 28, 2017, 02:41:45 PM
This is the only time getting your Bitcoin stolen comes in handy. Whatever amount was stolen, you can always claim the profits as a loss on your taxes. This could potentially mean never paying taxes again, considreing if BTC goes to 1 million if you lost a lot of them you will always be able to claim that and essentially get returned 100% of all tax that you pay each year.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: December 28, 2017, 02:39:43 PM
People become addicated to gambling for one simple reason: ignorance

People are ignarant as to how gambling works.

See, every bet has a mathematical outcome. You can't win or lose money any different than the math states that you will. Whatever it says, that is the truth. Unfortunately (no pun intended), some people con't realise this and trul belive gambling is pure luck and they have a chance to win. How do they think a casino makes money if the odds are 50/50?! Obviously the house always wins.
71  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCHEAT.COM IS ONLY A HOAX? on: December 28, 2017, 02:37:23 PM
Is there any one who has summary or list of scam sites?

No one will try to make a list scammers/scam websites because even a website is taken down it's easy to make a new website like what cloud mining sites and will operate again and again. If you see some list I bet it's not updated and not all scam sites are listed there.

Indeed, there are so many reported scam sites, but mostly discussed in a thread and then vanish.
Maybe some people have ever tried to make a list of scam sites but it's worthless as it's not easy to maintain a list with so many scam sites around which easily created everyday, if you make one, it will be contain tons of scam sites. Moreover, it's easier to use google and check whether a site is legit or shady by read some reviews about it services.

Why would you believe any site that is called BTCHEAT?!

I mean, it is clearly written right in the title that it is a site about cheating... of course it is a huge risk depositing on there and I hate saying this, but anyone who does pretty much deserves to lose their money.

btcheat.com ... lol
72  Other / Off-topic / Re: Breaking News: Quantum computers can crack Satoshi's wallet on: December 26, 2017, 11:47:41 PM
This isn't breaking news. People have been saying quantum computers are a huge theat to crypto for a long time.

The problem is they can or should be able to calculate almost anything instalty, eventually. This leads to issues with today's crypto that is condi==idered as unbreakable. I guess only time will tell.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 26, 2017, 11:26:54 PM
Why do people say the Premier league is the best in the world when in reality England never makes it past round 1 of the World Cup?

If it was so good, they would always be in the finals.

The best league is Spain or Germany. Probably Spain. But Germany is in the top 3 for sure. Don't come at me with that Premier League #1 bullcrap. Roll Eyes
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram Hitting the Blockchain – to Create Its Own Cryptocurrency on: December 26, 2017, 10:05:31 PM
This is going to be huge. I love when big, globally known companies launch cryptos. It is a sign they atually know what they are doing and it will be succesfful. The are much more trustworthy - and by a long shot - than the majority of other ICOs (which are usually scams).

I will keep a close eye on this one. Cool
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any tricks available in gambling to won the bet? on: December 26, 2017, 10:02:47 PM
The only trick that is of value to a gambler (and honest one) is mathematics.

You can use math to get as big of an advantage as possible in a casino. That is the only way - I repeat, the only way you can use a trick in the casino without cheating.

It isn't even really considered a trick but most players don't even use basic math so I call it that only for this reason.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Q for Bitcoin gamblers. Are you affected by high transaction fees? on: December 26, 2017, 09:06:34 PM
Who isn't affected by high transaction fees?

Virtually all Bitcoin businesses worldwide, both online and retail are affected. The high fees make it impossible to do instant, cheap transactions like was always possible before...

If this trend continues, BTC will no longer be considered as a currency in my book.  Undecided
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: December 26, 2017, 09:03:27 PM
I think it's not the point. Because if you're gambling with 10$ so just gambling with the same amount of 10$ in Bitcoin. Expensive isn't an excuse for a true gambler .

You do realize fees are crazy high right now right?

OP isn't saying Bitcoin gambling is more expensive than real money normally, only to deposit and withdraw the fees are way too high and it doesn't even make sense that's why most casinos are switching over to altcoins.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Medium of Exchange on: December 25, 2017, 11:59:37 PM
This is exactly why Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, he wanted to create a digital currency that allows people to transfer "money"
without being controlled by governments or any third party.

But there still many isuues that developers should resolve to ensure the continuity of this project and to ensure that it will not be used for other purposes.

There is a big issue with fees right now. I am afraid it is crippling Bitcoin. It is sad to see really.

I never thought we would get to a point that fees would be this high and people were even considering switching to altcoins instead. All good things come to an end, I suppose.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: December 25, 2017, 11:57:06 PM
Bitcoin was never meant to be this expensive. I just don't understand what is going on with these ridiculous fees. I never thought we would get to this point. Fees should be lower.

These gambling sites are going to turn to alternative coins if BTC doesn't resolve its fee issue in a very timely manner!
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates wasn’t joking when he said Bitcoin was better than Fiat Currency on: December 25, 2017, 11:53:58 PM
Yeah the way he is talking right now is very similar tto how he talked about the internet in the mid 1990's on talk shoows and people were like... "what is the internet" and laughing and stuff, but he knew his stuff.

This leads me to believe that crypto truly is the future of money and the Blokcchain technology is legit!
